    Di Vinci? Da Vinci?

    *OT*

It can be either Da Vinci or Di Vinci.

When we are talking about Leonardo his name was Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci. The da Vinci means 'of Vinci' which is a town/city in Tuscany Italy.

In Italian literally speaking, da means from, and di means of and/or from, so even though 'da' is most widely used 'di' is also acceptable, and added to the fact I had already seen a ship called the 'Da Vinci' in game I just wanted to be different.

I don't care if he's the Drum Major, if he can't fix bugs, then "reassign" him, and get someone who can. This game can't afford to have any "that's not my job", guys right now. The ship is sinking, we need all hands on deck.

    Our game is doomed! DOOOOOOMED!!

    Taco,

Been playing mmos since EQ, first time I ever seen a dev thank the players in a direct no bull**** manner. Cheers and thanks for working on our favorite game.

Complete tangent but have you read any of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers fiction? They have a ship with the same name so I was wondering if you were a fan, cause I dug the one collection of their stories that I got last year.

Sorry for the tangent. It's a great name for a ship. Rock on!

Actually it's a complete coincidence, I know about the SCE story's but I never read them, I was was just naming all my ships after scientists and inventors.

Still thanking Taco, just to keep the thread somewhere near centered :D

    Thanks for nothing.

    That sounds bitter, and petty.

Thanks, for saying thanks, then. That's the best I can do.

Now be a peach, and go fix some bugs.

Taco's an environmental artist. He makes pretty backgrounds for us to pew-pew in. He doesn't fix bugs.

Now be a peach, and pull that stick out of your bum.

    I second that.

We (devs) likely don't say it enough.

Thanks for playing. It may seem obvious, but this game would not exist today if it weren't for you dedicated lot.

    So thanks.

Hold tight devs, im trying to make sure you have a future in STO too!

Cryptic needs our support to help get PWE under control, if you havent heard I recommend you listen to and read up on what ARC is doing under your noses. This isnt funny anymore its going to cost us this game eventually. Not to mention the ARC setup is a Lamprey thats been lying to you all! Dont be afraid to speak up about it and tell others, you are their income and they know it! So you are actually holding the cards!! Dont fold, we all need to stick together.

Thanks for making this game the way it is and giving people some choices into what comes next. I was surprised that we got to vote for Season 8. We wouldn't of had Tim Russ by now. Perhaps Micheal Dorn, but not in the context/content given.

We actually help shape the course this game took and I think that speak volumes on it's community.
