Guys; thanks to check into this; Im seriously depressed by the new solanea ship you provided for the 4th years aniversary.

The ship look good; its funny to play with; but then i realized that all the console needed to compl?te the set toward the warp core; need to be bought seperatly; guys; i dont care if there's ? new zen ship comming out and you sale it directly; but this is Low; you ask from me that i work for a month and then YOU dont mention anywhere i have to BUY th?se new console you provided with the ship in th? mission; in first place; i hayte this d?cision you makes for yourself; i will not help support anymore a Game that lie to me; second you perhaps tough that the fleet mark r?duction toward mission pass unnoticed; but thats a second strikes; i never complaint before but youre going to far.......

This Game might no longer be for me; just because your too greedy.

The warp core comes with the ship and the other 3 pieces come with by running the FE multiple times. So you don't need to buy anything, as that set is MK XII purple and free.

The set on the c-store versions is entirely different, and seem to be based off the secondary deflector array, but the set from the FE is just as good as any other free set you get from the various FEs.

First you have to work for 2 weeks, not a month.

They did provided the information in the blogs before the mission came out. No one lied.

You don't have to buy the ship in the c-store. You just don't get a couple of gimmicky consoles if you don't. Big deal and hardly the end of the world.

They did a very similar thing thing with the odyssey and bortasqu where they gave free ships then release 3 packs 2 years ago. This is nothing new.

Have we come to this; every ship they gives will be uncomplete and need to be an investment in Money to be complete; cause this is not a 4th aniversary gift; its a new ways to implement their greed toward us; even the Lost of fleet mark at mission puts me in a bad position; i simply cannot have the new console, thats l'?me; thats Low; they ask more of us; and gives alot less......

Although I agree that it's kind of a bum deal, you don't really need them. People get too wrapped up in special set bonuses and the like and forget that ships are quite capable without them. In fact, many choose to outright dump the special/gimmick consoles in favor of standard consoles. In some cases, using the special consoles can actually gimp you. In other words, don't sweat it too much.

Again. The 4 piece set is free: 1 piece is on the ship and the 3 others come from running the FE. You get the full set bonus by running the FE 3 times.

The free ship is just a standard rear adrmiral T5 ship. There's nothing special about it. The c-store will have fleet quality ships for sale. This is what they did with the Odyssey and Ambassador class on the other anniversaries too. They will have slightly different consoles; again, just as they did with the Odyssey and Bortasqu.

Not sure why you'd want the other consoles, anyway.

I just completed the grind for the ship the other day, and the 4-piece Solanae set (impulse/deflector/shield/warp core) has made my Fleet Long Range Science Vessel's build simply superb! When they get around to adding secondary deflectors to every other science ship, it'll just be the cherry on top for me.

And they give the game alway for free so you don't have to pay a penny to them. it's them trying to make money so they can continue to give the game away for free to people that dont want to pay. We can't have our cake and eat it for nothing.

The deflector works just fine on its own and the other pieces don't make it incomplete in a playable sense.

They have given away 3 ships, a set of 4 items and a deflector. But you want the lot, for nothing. You're not even happy about working for it. Remind me again who is being greedy here?

And you can just *play* the game to earn the Zen needed to buy this second set anyway. And you'd probably get enough Zen in a shorter period of time than a hell of a lot of other MMOs would ask you to grind to earn their top-tier gear.

Yes i do understand i might be late toward see
Ing the fact they are use to do this; unfortunetly; i does not make it acceptable; im not confortable with the idea they enforced on us; you might be; but its cheating to have a less version of something you have to pay to be complete; this is the essence of pay to win; alot of players in this Games think of themself as god in pvp; but in the end; its the will to pay that change the outcome in their favor; unless youre blind and cryptic favor is your mojo.....

Finally they removed the fleet mark from mission; will they sell some package from now on; thats the tendency th?se days; sell eveything......

Bye bye fleet console for me; i cant afford the time it takes....

    Ship = Free.
    4-piece set = Free.
Grind = ~15 days at <5 minutes per day.
Quality of the gear being given to you for free = excellent.

    What is the problem?

EDIT: You also end up with 3 cool new EV suits as a bonus, while you're at it.

There was enough information on what the free ship was going to have floating around that you shouldn't have been surprised.

The one on the mission is set up like one of the C-store ships. And, at the moment, you don't really miss the consoles that much anyway. And the C-store versions were mentioned before the anniversary started, as well as the 4 set you get from their consoles and the secondary deflector (which doesn't seem to be active in the FE last I played it).

No, you take a day to think about it. You come in here nerd raging over a free ship. The Q event takes less then 10 minutes and you only need to do it 15 times. You can do the FE and get the last 400 qmendations you need to get the free ship. The FE also grants you a 2nd piece of the set; and if you do the FE 2 more times after that you get all 4 pieces: warp core, deflector, engine, and shields. Plus you get 3 EV suits that can be combined for lobi into a 4th suit.

So let's add it all up: Running the FE 3 times: 60 minutes, about 20 minutes each time. Running 15 Q events, 150 minutes maximum. So a maximum of 3.5 hours of your time to earn a free ship and a 4 peice ship set; and you had a month to do it. What does that average out to over a month? 8 minutes per day. Maximum!

You need to come to grips that you either need to pay for things or or use play time for things. You don't get to show up at the game and get everything you want just by logging in. Cryptic needs to make money. This isn't a charity for them. It's a business. They've given you the option of paying or just playing. It seems stupid to believe that you don't want to pay and you don't want to play to get it.

You're not cute enough for them to just give it to you just for showing up. :)

More think he's complaining about the set with the consoles from the C-store ship and less the set you get get from the FE.

It's still the same concept though. Cryptic's a business. You pay to get it or you play to get it. Grind dilithum and even with 1 character doing 8k per day you make over 1800 Zen per month. In 2.5 months you can have the ship 3 pack and all the consoles.

No one gets it for free. You pay or you play.

We gotta keep our eyes on the ball here. We're getting a free science destroyer and a free 4 piece ship set. All we need to do is play a few minutes every day for 15 days.

If you want a better science destroyer with better consoles you can buy them. That's not new. The game is full of c-store ships that are better then free ships. No one should be surprised that anything going into the c-store will be better. And because of dilithium and zen anyone who wants the c-store version can get it if they're willing to put some time into getting it.

Cryptic can't make it too much easier for people. It's already one of the most forgiving ftp models I've ever played.

Can't sympathize with the OP at all here, I'm afraid - Cryptic have been quite up-front about what's coming out where and when, they are already giving away a lot of useful stuff for absolutely nothing bar some playing time - I don't see that the OP has any legitimate cause for complaint.

Heck, just the three-piece set (deflector, impulse drive, shields) from the featured episode has proven good enough to compete with T5 rep stuff I worked my backside off for... and just about everyone on Nukara these days is running around in the new EV suits, which are seriously useful there. No, Cryptic have given away plenty of good stuff here - the fact that they are keeping some more stuff to sell (which they have to do if they are to make money and keep the game going) is not enough to rouse my ire.

Everything was stated up front and nothing was secret. That said, I agree that the whole scheme is disgusting and way more complicated than it needed to be. Why should you have to grind 2 things and pay money to get the whole deal? I don't like it either so that is why I simply said no and have not a done single bit of it. No one is being forced to do this.

I am sure it was easy to miss a few details given the amount of information and that it was spread out over a number of blogs.

And for those that have unpacked the Science Destoryer on a Romulan character, Crptic added the set's Warp Core in addition to the Singularity Core inside the ship. Cryptic has allowed Romulans that don't want to fly Warbirds to use the full 4 piece set. Yep, that's totally greedy and cheatin' the players.
