All of this information was in the dev blogs and anniversary blog which were published at the end of January. No one lied to you.
Have we come to this; every ship they gives will be uncomplete and need to be an investment in Money to be complete; cause this is not a 4th aniversary gift; its a new ways to implement their greed toward us; even the Lost of fleet mark at mission puts me in a bad position; i simply cannot have the new console, thats l'?me; thats Low; they ask more of us; and gives alot less......
So let me understand this, the company that makes this game and pays for all the developers, network infrastructure and such, that does not charge you a single damn dime to play this game, gives you a ship with a 4 piece set bonus for free that only requires you playing daily for a couple of weeks. Is dirty and underhanded because they are not handing you some ok consoles and only putting them on the c-store version? Damn you technically wouldn't need to pay a dime for that either if you didn't want to, you could grind for dilithium to convert to Zen and buy it if you wanted it. You could get the entire thing without paying a single dime of real money. And you think Cryptic is the underhanded one? If anyone is underhanded it's entitlement jerks demanding everything quick and free.

they DID mention it, its not their fault if you dont read the dev blogs that explicitly say the consoles will be with the C-store vessel.

I feel the same way, if the z-store ships are missing anything the grind ship comes with I will skip the ship entirely. Not doing the Q-grind but willing to pay for the completed ship if it is regular 3 pack price only.

The consoles don't make the ships what they are. How many people use the entire odyssey or andorian c-store sets on their ships? Most people prefer to use the various rep pieces rather then fill their ships with c-store ship consoles.
well i didn't like the 2 week grind to get the ship it was the best anni ship ever given to us. the ev suits the mkII purple set. the ship comes with its ability a first for any free ship and the metaphasic shields. so what if you can get extra ability with the z-store the games always been like that even when it was p2p.

The free odyssey didn't have parts the cstore odyssey lacked. You didn't "need" both to have the complete thing.

Thee is no if. The c store version will not have the set engine engine and it will not have the set secondary deflector.
And the engine available ONLY IN THE GRIND VERSION works as a 4th set part for the cstore version.
So no, with the purchase you won't get the full thing.
I agree that if you weren't able to read online etc to see how to get that set for all the snazzy abilities it would be annoying. I've seen a few people in my fleet asking "where is the panel with my special abilities like in the mission?".
Personally with the new loadout system I'm happy to have one loadout specced to dish out the grav well pain, and another one in future with all the bells and whistles abilities, I did love that narly beam in the story (I forget the name off the top of my head). That would be fun.
But as a previous poster mentioned having those universal consoles in some cases can detract from the overall effectiveness of you build (depending on you build choice obv). I had a simillar problem with my jem dread for a long time, I went nuts with the universals and lost allot of dps in favour of at best, a moderate supplement to my build. Allot of people who have built one of those crazy assed scimitar dps builds will say they run none of the scimitar universals, or a limited number of them in favour of more traditional consoles.
While I'm not saying for a second that universal set consoles are useless (they can make a kick TRIBBLE build), but don't allow them to maske you tunnel visioned and oblivious to what you can do with that console space without them, something I'm starting to experiment with on my scimi.
However if you are indeed truly leaving the game *hops off of usual spot on the fence* can have your stuffz? You can share it out between us personally I will save for the new set, slam a dyson weapon set on there and pew pew all day. Until then, I will experiment with what I can doi with what is actually a very versatile ship.

with cstore ships theres a handful out of the entire store that has consoles worth using, kdf - leech/aceton, rom - valdore.
