Slow patch and cannot login

Hello

I have downloaded star trek online via Arc, and after downloading the launcher, I noticed that I have to patch the game for 8000 MB. It took me one week to get this downloaded. Too slow!!:mad: Any way after getting the game patched I clicked the engaged button and waited for the game to load. It showed up a Star trek online legacy of romulus logo. It was sitting like that for a long long time. Believing that the game was hanging, I opened the task manager and closed it. I opened the launcher and it then it was telling me to PATCH 4000 MB!!! :eek: WTH!?!?!? I had no choice but to launch the game directly from the Gameclient.exe. I had no problem and I got to the login screen and when I signed up it was showing 'connecting to the login server' and after a few minutes then BOOM!! It showed 'connection to the account server timed out'. Nice. I have patched this far to get a stupid error message. GRRR

Please I can't wait to play this game its really awesome:confused::( I would be grateful if you helped to solve this issue

    So have both of you tried the Patch Proxy and Game Proxy options in the Launcher Options menu???

    none of the US or EU2 proxy works good enough... lag is still too much. Game unplayable. :(

    Tried the both the patch proxy. It was even more slower

    I am having the same problem to patch it, is there a way to download patch then install it, be alot faster and then it can torrented making it in multiple locations to help others to download

    hey it worked. I tried the US proxy and it filled up the patching bar instantly! Lagged a bit. Got small freezes in between the game when on ground and space. I would like this issue to get rectified. :P

    was in the middle of a mission when my game began to stop responding, got to the point i had to alt/ctrl/dlt to close game and now i can not get back in, the cryptic launcher auto update keeps coming up, tries upto 5 times then times out been doing this 45 minutes now

    Started downloading the patch almost three hours ago, via 50mb/s FIOS hardline... currently at 61.4%. Ran the tracert and nettest, no problems found. The patcher is just slower than frozen mud.

    restarted patch several times no better. May decide just not return to this game if the is going to be the best I can expect.

    i having problem it has uploaded the patch but for last hour has just says patching is this normal?

    Did anyone actually have the patch complete? Having the same issue here. I started it yesterday and after about 8 hrs it was at 71%, shut my computer down for the night and when I went to restart it today the patch started back at 0%. Seems like it's going faster today, but still only at 26% after an hour.
