    Thanks Jamjamz!

Are you able to tell us what type of deflector dish the new skin has on the Fed side? I'm hoping for another TNG-style deflector...
You're right. The work here is very important.

Wow, thanks JamJamz, this is great news indeed! :)

I love that a lot of the Klignon ships are getting attention and a new materials option, but furthermore - my Mogh is getting a unique hull material!? That's great news! :)

    Qapla'!

And the Type 5 isn't shabby at all as well, although I do prefer the Type 6.

EDIT: I was just about to edit my post and ask, but then I saw this:
Obtaining the Korath should unlock the Type 3 material on the Krenn, and Rozhenko; just like getting the Wells unlocks the Type 6 material on the Mobius, and Aeon.

Score! :P Thanks a million JamJamz, I was wondering if my Krenn will be getting the material since the Korath was getting it. Love my Krenn.

Fleet ships unlock the fleet material. Many store-purchased Klingon ships unlock the Type 3.

So the Type 3 material is not available on the fleet variants ? Or does unlocking the material once unlock it for all eligible ships ? Sorry, still confused. :o

That Type 5 skin is beautiful, so just for the fun of it I have to ask for us Romulan's if we could get the aged skin for our newer model ships. I just think that skin variant would look great on some of the larger rom ships.

That...actually you're right. Actually if they made that Aged material available to all Romulan ships along with the underside decal, that would be epic (imagines a D'Deridex with a birdy on its belly).

So, making sure I've got this right, the Type 5 should be applicable to all Federation ships, including Fleet-grade ships, without needing to reclaim it from the C-store or anything? Just that some Klingon ships may need to be reclaimed from the store for the new Type 3 skins to kick in?

I was excited before I read this as I thought it was going to be about customising the bridge and thought there would be a MU bridge skin of MU lockbox ships. Only to find out its regarding KDF ship matierials and not even for the ships I have. Oh well excitement is gone.

Nothing for Romulans? Hmph. I can assure you that D'Tan will reconsider his friendly relations with Cryptic over this slight. That's just how he rolls.

He says all will be forgiven, however, if Cryptic adds the Suliban and Acamarians as allied races that can be used as BOffs and DOffs. D'Tan says (and I paraphrase), "The Republic must grow like a glowing plant or it will become as docile as a baby Nanov and get eaten by a Vivver Cat." or some kind of metaphorical junk like that.

I'd totally love if Rommy ships got decal options like that. Because I can totally imagine Romulans painting stuff like eyespots or flying tiger teeth or other predatory motifs or symbols of Romulan culture or even political or cultural slogans on their ships. Especially with so much of the Romulan Republic Flotilla and their military being cobbled together from ships salvaged from the graveyards, rogue military units, colonial garrisons, so forth, it'd reflect their more rough and tumble backgrounds.

Too bad I can't use the Type 3 on my Vo'Quv.
Will the Nov-class Science Destroyer have access to the Type 3 (also will the Aves-class have access to the Romulan Type 3)?

Can I use the Ning'tao skin on my Fleet Norgh or use Vor'Kang skin on MU Vor'cha or Tor'Kaht?
Can I mix ship parts and still be able to use the Type 3 skin?
Say: Ning'tao saucer, hull, neck, mission pod, weapons and Norgh wings (never was a fan of the x-wings on the bird-of-prey)?

    Oh, and nice work!

The red part of the avengers nacelles already looks ugly on just about every skin other than the avenger skin and now this one looks white.

Am i the only one who is really annoyed by that? it's suppose to be red and blue, not blue and the lightest ugliest palest shade of red. I'd really like to see the red from the avenger skin put on every other skin for the avenger.

Aside from that the type 5 looks really nice i just can't get over the white nacelle. and yes i know it's slightly red but barely.

I don't think they're even supposed to be available yet.

JamJamz and BranFlakes both said they were meant to have been released when they were, so I don't know what to say.

Also; No love for the B'rel Retro, and how does it affect ships that you can't "reclaim" from the appropriate stores (i.e. Fleet Vessels, 700-Day Vet Token vessels)?

Also also; Still no Type 3 for the Scimitar? For shame.

Great! I've always wondered what happened to that old "Type 5" material for Fed ships. Good to get some new mats for KDF ships too. I wish I could get that Raptor with the cannons on the hull at level 50, though. Looks amazing, but I don't think there is a Fleet Refit or a Retrofit of this ship.

    LoL thanks!

A GPL ship skin huh? That would be a very hunted ship

One thing. For Fedaration ships, is there any chance of making the Deflector dish a customizable option? I'd like to have the Type 2 Material deflector available for the other scemes, like on the Galaxy class. I like that deflector look, and would like to have it on other materials too if at all possible. Thanks!

Good question. I will make sure to ask about that possibility.

I was there I heard him say it. D'Tan is the amiable sort, so he is certainly open to the negotiations that grant these concessions from Cryptic.

A nice Raptor on the back of my Ha'nom would certainly be just about right, and very old school.

It would also be cool if it was kind of simulated. For instance on the Mogai (Norexan) the ship already has feathers built into the armor plating, but a bird should highlight them so it looks like an actual bird when viewed from above.

What? But Cryptic hates Klingons. You can't give them new things, especially for free!

Am I reading that correctly? I either have to play the lockbox lottery (that's not gonna happen) or spend 100m+ EC's on a ship I don't even want just so I can have the new material on my Krenn?

Well I guess the new exciting ship material isn't gonna be for me then

Something else comes to mind - given that the Type 5 option will be available on all current and subsequent Fed ships, does that include the 9 and 10 console versions of the Science Destroyers?

It said you might have to reclaim ships to get the new material.

Question .... What happens if you own a fleet ship? ... We can't just dismiss and reclaim.

Does the Type 5 material use the Galaxy-style deflector array or the "normal" style?

I love ship materials, so this is a very pleasant surprise. :)

This is sort of the issue with Starfleet vessels over their Romulan and KDF counterparts. It would be nice if there were two versions; one with and one without the Galaxy-style deflector array.
