solanae environmental suits

xraiderv1xraiderv1 Member Posts: 488 Arc User
I apologize if this is the wrong place for it...

I have the solanae enforcer environmental suit from the anniversary and I wanna know how do I get the other two suits? what conversation choices do I need to choose etc.

if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

when you're asked to activate a defense against the voth when you bring the place online.

each option gives a different suit.

I believe the suit is based on the defensive option you choose.

Can anyone post the difference in stats between the three base models as well as the two upgraded versions?

I chose the beams and got the marksman suit.

I am not online so I don't have the stats handy, but the Wiki will probably have them soon.

They are identical except for 1-2 stats which are totally different

    Enforcer +10% physical damage
    Marksman +5% energy damage
    Striker +2.5% crth/+20% crtd

Think it does have to do with defenses I've done it twice and gotten two different suits:

1st time was w/beams, and I got the marksman suit, I also had the captain/sniper encounter. I also chose more "supportive" options for Cheesy doc.

2nd time was no defensive support, and the disabled, re-enabled mech encounter, was more of a jerk to cheesy doc. I got the striker suit

3rd time I will try with swarmers and see if it that does it or if its yet some other combination...perhaps a third option with captain/sniper or mech.

There is another divergence between the sunroom and swarmer room ,but that is after the EV suit.

Ok so, yeah, when the time comes to make a selection to use swarmers, beams, or fight the voth alone, whatever you choose will determine the suit you get. If, like me, you already ran it three times to get your space set, you'll have to do it two more but... you can just beam out the minute you get the suit and start the mission over. You don't even have to drop it. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the suit part.

I heard the new lobi versions are not that great. They lack toxic and cold protection and have no bonus modifiers like [HP] [RegSh] or anything else like that.

The lobi version get rid of two suits taking up (bank) space though. Up to and including your stored lobi as well, for a whopping three free (bank) slots, now to fill up with something else! :D

I have the paladin version from the lobi shop and it has the same stats from what I seen as the other lobi one, either one is just the combined stats of the three free ones and still minus the thruster pack. I guess the ferengi take each suit before selling it to that station to make sure the pack is pre burned out for you when you get it.

not me. Beams gets marksman, swarmers gets enforcer, and no backup gets you the third one.

To be fair, the non-lobi Solanae EV suits don't have toxic or cold protection either, which makes sense. How much damaging extreme cold/toxic chemicals do you really think one encounters next to a sun compared to fire and radiation?

The lobi Solanae suits are still the best ones in the game if you need to fight in an EV suit. Tholians come to mind...

Unequip your weapon. Loose your armor and/or shield.

    Problem solved.

I used the same option a couple of time and still got different suits.

I didn't change options till I found out there was an accolade for each choice.

and I did none of that.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

My question is are these usable as body armor. During the quest the tutorial specifically tells us to re-equip our body armor as the EV suits won't protect us in battle, yet they have stats like the body armor and nothing in the tool tip states those stats are only active while in space walk.

You could use them as armour if you desired. They do have some defensive stats (mainly antiproton defense), however they are not as effective as a dedicated armour set such as Energy Dampening armour. As far as I know they should at least give those stats with environmental protection activated. They would not be my first choice for primary body armour, however in a pinch they would do.

    Just my thoughts.

I'm not sure if this is related, but i saw a female toon wearing a new style costume jacket with circles on the shoulders and a skirt with cutouts on the hips. They looked Solanae styled to me, does anyone know if they are new costume options that come with the environment suits?
