How the hell is 'Tour the Galaxy' suppose to be completed in 15 minutes? It's impossible. Especially since you added Tau Dewa sector to it. There is no way in hell anybody can visit each and ever single sector block in the entire game in that amount of time. It would take me at least a half hour and that's with the Assimilated engines that increase sector space travel.

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.
Yeah. My most basic Rep-gear setup for a cut-off point comparison:
Nebula ADV retrofit (no Oddy bonus)
Full Driver Coil skill
Mark XI core (no SSS, SSR)
Mark XI assimilated engine
Warp 20.93 sustained (when not in slipstream)
No DI (for testing)
No RP (for testing)
Capable of completing one of the most popular of the old short runs, a full eight times in the prior multi-circuit Tour. A complete long run / all sectors tour (minus Tau Dewa & tested today with good sector map load times) = approx. 16.5 mins.
With DI/RP handout and -possibly- a modified route (didn't do as much research as the old tour) I reckon I could shave a couple of minutes off. But that's still pushing the new limit, for a basic Rep-gear ship, without the addition of Tau Dewa and with no allowances for traffic problems: e.g. slow sector map load times; congested entry points (damn you Scimitars!); missing optimised U-turn points in Zeta Andromedae & Iota Pavonis; etc.
No Rep-gear, no chance!
Also try:
- Shuttle (fits through every group of ships),
- Warpcore with [Coi] and [SSR] (higher Warpspeeds and Slipstream more frequently),
- MACO-/Adapted-KHG-Engines (giving Driver-Coil Bonus - Seem to be even faster then assimilated Mk XII sometimes)
- DI and RP

If Star Trek Online was an Open-Source (GPL) Game, we would have a low-grind fork.

Good suggestions all. I already use or will use those (not crunched the numbers on a warp [coi]+MACO combo - must remember to do that) on other more capable ships. I was trying to find the lowest spec for a full run completion, cut-off point; using whatever assorted assets I had to hand. Hence deliberate avoiding of DIRP.
When the Tour got cut to a single run, all the anti-Tour knockers, mocked the complaints as being from a player base that was exclusively a lvl50/TaskForce Omega only club. That was never the case then (done single runs in a freighter and in a Miranda) but looks like it will be from now on. At least for obtaining the new maximum rewards. Newer players and more spartan ships will still be able to get something for each sector they do manage to visit.
Nice !!! a cryptic employee host's a couple of shuttle events and it is implemented to PvP. Now I KNOW the dev's do not listen to a word the PvP community say !

You must have missed this part of the January 30 patch notes then:
Looks to me they did fix the "exploit".
Which is why I said: "What it looks like to me, is that they didn't quite know how to properly fix the fact that Tact Captains were exploiting abilities like Tactical Initiative to shorten the T5 reps powers' CD beyond their intended duration, and then just blindly put a 5 min timer on them all."
In other words: instead of truly fixing it, and making sure abilities like Tactical Initiative couldn't affect the duration of the T5 abilities, they basically just hard-coded the entire batch to take 5 minutes.
I'm OK with rep abilities not being affected by cooldown reduction powers.
Me too. But their respective cooldowns should simply have remained unchanged (and then fixed for exploits to go below them).
Hmm, why were hourly missions removed? I quite liked them. Now I can earn more marks and in an hour I can craft an Aegis for one of my alts for example.
Well this blows, I busted my TRIBBLE and popped my 8 hour xp boost and made it all the way to 18 and then server goes down, i guess im not going to get the klink refit ship. thats alot of effort for nothing.

The hourly events going away isn't a good thing...particularly the bonus marks event. I know that myself, and a lot of my friends, only really bothered playing when the bonus marks event is active. With that gone I most likely will not be playing much at all during the week, if at all, and just waiting to find out if the weekend event is worth playing or not. So basically instead of playing regularly during the week I will just end up playing on the weekends if its an event that's worth my time. If your goal is to get people to play less I think you will have succeeded.
So... I have no patching happening... is this because I kept the test server data up to date?
Its just too soon for it to start patching. I usually wait for halfway point of the maintenance and then start patching they usually have it available at that point.

Yes, removing the hourlies will prove to be a major mistake, mark my words.
I know they're living under the illusion of being able to turn STO into a P2G (Pay-To-Grind) game; but, mark my words yet again, I will *never* pay Zen/EC/whatever for the opportunity to grind. As Picard once said: "The line must be drawn here. No further!"
Is funny all the quick equip features then at bottom of known issues says we know it doesn't work that is just too funny but not unexpected.
No, that's not what it says. The Quick Equip stuff is (supposedly) working. It is the Ship Loadout feature that isn't ready for primetime yet. Two separate but related things.

No, he/she is right:
"When swapping ships, items transferred between ships will not automatically equip back when you return to a previous ship.
This is being addressed ASAP.
In the meantime, you can easily re-equip it off the other ship with the Quick Equip feature.
Some ground maps such as New Romulus, The Flotilla, and Deep Space 9 do not allow fast equip from your bank or other ships.
Occasionally, an item will not move in the chosen slot when using Quick Equip."
Still no patches for the tooltip description not loading biographies/correct ships.

Check out the notes again. As they state, load outs are not going live tomorrow, but very soon -- this will allow us to resolve those issues.
Cheers,

That's unexpectedly sensible.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

A lot of people aren't going to care in the least about hourly events going away, mark my words! TRIBBLE, until you and one other person started raising a fuss, I didn't even know we had hourly events, which tells you how much they matter to the gameplay experience as a whole.
Some people are having trouble understanding what the 6 second recharge is for.
Such as yourself I'm afraid.
The Omega Torpedo CANNOT be affected by projectile recharge duty officers. This is flat out stated.
The weapon's own tooltip data is not even inclusive of the added 1.5s to its own 0.5s activation, in fact, which is why it's listed as having double it's per-shot damage as DPS, when in fact it should be half of that damage. The 2s refire rate is due to the torpedo global cooldown. This is actually a "nerfed" state by that mechanic.
The time between charges is/was 0.5s, which "allows" the weapon to empty itself in 3s, which is where the 6s/charge reloading time comes in. This was not happening in-game however, because 2 seconds is four times longer than 0.5 seconds
It is supposed to have limited ammunition, but was not *because* it was firing so much more slowly than it was supposed to that it no longer had time to run out: The counter drops from 2 to 1 as charge 4 fires 0.5s before charge 1 is fully recovered once again (which is why it ticks 1 for a split second before returning to 2).
This allowed it to be a decent alternative for 'softer' torpedo boats with a bit more focus on energy that saved you doffs, but was not up to par with "Two quantum launchers with purple projectile doffs". It provided constant pressure damage, but not the massive spikes the weapon was originally designed for.
ERm...Has Cryptic looked into the issue of generic officers appearing on the bridge despite there being plenty of commissioned BOffs assigned to my character?
technically, there should only be 1-2 of your officers on the bridge. thses are your senior staff, you know, the folks who run the ship when you are sleeping/away/whatever. you SHOULD have the doffs manning the helm, tactical, engineering etc. unless you are at battle stations
just read through the patch notes and there is quite a few fixes that peeps have been asking to be fixed for a while, yet despite the work the team has put in peeps continuously moan about what they not getting or what they have to do in order to get something
so i would like to say to cryptic team thanks for the bug fixes, thanks for the new content and happy 4th anniversary
PS Please can i get a plasma Boomerang disc for my tron toon lol
"Love" the anniversery event, it the equivalent of inviting people over to your birthday party and then telling them if they want cake, they'll have to bake it themselves.

Just wondering, why is that? Not that i'm displeased in any way - I loathed that mission.

I've done it with borg engines and a singularity core with SSR
Let us upgrade the Seleya Ceremonial Lirpa and Kri'stak Blade
Also, Biochemist is now nerfed. There goes the last chance of a sci officer doing any damage on the ground.
Oh well, at least I did not buy a fleet kit for them yet, will now know that only the healer kit is worth it.

Bran, will the new FE continue to exist after the event ends?
hi, any fix about the sound and lag in the game?...temporally solution doesnt work

I'm not Bran, but don't worry: The mission is going to stay in the game. Only some of its rewards are time limited.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
I'm sure this pack of updates was a massive amount of work by the dev team.
Thank you, devs, for getting all this done for the players.
Of course, now that we see all this work we'll expect an equally massive number of updates/fixes every week going forward.
Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.

It will become a level 50 episode playable after "Sphere of Influence"; the only rewards from it that are temporary is the one-time Qmendation bonus.
