see thats why I said you should pvp first.

I do. Like I said. Admittedly I'm not the best by a long shot, so I could very well be wrong, and I would be very open to seeing data or, heck, even hearing anecdotes that indicate that I'm wrong. Got any of those?

'Cause if not, I think I'm done here.

Anyway, yes. Secondary deflectors. Me want. :D

This is great news! Science vessels really need more teeth, to compete with all other classes. Currently the only class the science vessels beats is "small craft" and even then it might be even. Just kidding, but this is a great step in the right direction.

With less weapons then every other class, science vessels should have science abilities that give better buffs to them and their team, and in contrast, better debuffs against enemy vessels.

I have to admit, i am a bit disapointed about secondary deflectors,
every other Group got some active tools, Sci "only" gets some stats buffed,
i mean okay, given, we have to see how it feels ingame,
but from a pure theory point, it seems boring,
i had hoped for some nice active things, maybe something like a "combo" system,
which relys on Sensor analysis stacks or something...

but anyway, lets see how it plays out

I have to say this: It is about damn time. It always bugged me that all these Science Fed ships, or Klingon/Gorn, or even the Romulans/Scimitar ships have these visible 2-3 deflectors and you only equip one?

Of course, I've always wondered why the same is not for Impulse Engines(any ship with more than two visible impulse units), or Shields (for cruiser/battlecruiser/carrier)-Let alone if the ship can separate into two units.

    I guess this means since:
In short, if the starship has both Subsystem Targeting and Sensor Analysis it will receive a Secondary Deflector slot even if the ship?s art doesn?t have a Secondary Deflector.

That the Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught Carrier, Odyssey Science Crusier, and Vo'Quv Carrier to name a few will get secondary deflectors... :D

Hopefully this levels out some of the "DPS is king" thing and balances out PvE/PvP for the people who complain of such.

glad to hear some benefits coming to us science officers, and a new ship :)
(although I`m not so sure about the camel toe saucer section in that picture!)

The Dreadnought Carrier and Vo'Quv carriers do not have Sensor Analysis. The Odyssey Science Cruiser does not have subsystem targeting. Hence, none of them will have secondary deflectors. A ship has to have both to get the secondary deflectors.

As if my science captains weren't OP as it is being able to get first place in CE often, with no doffs on active duty, crappy equipment, and hardly any progress in reputations. I have a heck of a time getting first on tactical captain's in escorts/raiders, so I have no idea why people keep calling it a DPS fest.

So eventually my tachyon beam 3 and power siphon 1 will be boosted by a secondary deflector? OK then. I'll take it.

Will Secondary Deflectors be adding visuals to our ship models?

Some Deflectors have a visual that can be disabled at will. I'm hoping to have a Vesta or Intrepid with all sorts of shiny beams coming out of it, in addition to the awesomeness of the Assimilated Deflector.

Well wherever it stands but I do believe we missed the small letters somewhere.
I mean cmon another grind hell when is cryptic start to make a real story.
A weekly episode, a story or whatever you like to call it...

What ever you say but I believe PWE set in the contract you have to make only grind versions in the game, heck maybe the japps or chinese love it but heck I don't.

Well anyways the rest I'm curious in what they changed and I still gonna run the mission with tuvok if they ever get those servers up and running.
Rest of the year was likeable and in some strange way I like the whole Voth serie to get some fun and expertise in it.

My only hope is they going to outfit all science vessels with two Deflector sets not only those grind versions .

    Happy grinding everyone....

    Secondary Deflectors

    What happened, with this?
Are all other science ships going to get them?

I would appreciate some feedback as to if Secondary Deflectors are going to be for all Science ships or just the Dyson Set.

    Thankyou

EDIT: ...Seriously? This is a necro? Here I thought they were finally almost done with the tech. I feel tricked. (Not by the team.)

I haven't played except for the lobi the past two weeks and finally getting the 2nd deflectors in all sci ships would be the only thing that would motivate me to get back in just for the lolz.
