Speaking of the Ha'nom (and the Mirror and Fleet version), I hope it does get the secondary deflector as much as I hope the Big D and Ha'apax (+ Mirror and Fleet) with the Haakona get the cruiser commands (even if say just 2 of them for a new category: Warbird cruiser).
As the cruisers don't seem to be getting cruiser commands anytime soon, I'm sorta doubtful on the Ha'nom (which satisfies Sensor analysis + Subsystem targeting).

I am really getting tired of each faction have the EXACT SAME SHIP WITH NEW PAINT. It is becoming apparent to me that Cryptic does not KNOW how to use this THREE faction system. Almost every ship that comes out for different factions is a copy an paste of the ship that came out for the faction before. I HAVE NEVER seen an MMO that does this so often when releasing new content. This makes partial sense when you are talking about lockbox ships as they are the same ship used for different factions.
However, it is appalling that 3 new ships come out and every single factions uses this "new" technology the EXACT SAME WAY! This is ridiculous, if that was the case all cars in the same "class" would drive exactly the same with the same features just with a different outer body. I am pretty sure when Klingons adapt ANYTHING it is war based not shield defense based like the Federation. I am pretty sure when the Romulans adapt a technology it is cloak, and disable based, unlike the Klingons. These new ships are getting predicable and tiring, and this is why this MMO has been stuck in this "incomplete" state for the last 2 years.
Please Cryptic THINK before you launch new ships for each faction...they should compliment or counter their allies and enemies NOT copy them.
In their defense there are only so many BOFF set ups that can happen. honestly im surprised there arent more ships the are copies. But if you really dont like the ships, dont get them.
The Tholian Orb Weaver will probably get a Secondary Deflector slot. It has Subsystem Targeting and Sensor Analysis. Same goes for the Voth Palisade Science vessel.
The TSABC already gets cruiser commands. It doesn't fulfill the criteria for a Secondary Deflector slot mentioned in the blog (Sensor Analysis & Subsystem Targeting). Based on those facts, it probably won't get a Secondary Deflector slot.
As for Warbirds, you're confused. The Science-oriented Scimitar isn't a Science ship. It doesn't have Subsystem targeting or Sensor Analysis. It is just an Escort with a more science-oriented Boff and Console layout than it's Tactical and Engineering sister ships.
Also, at least we now know what's gonna be available in the S9 Fleet Holding!
Yes the Tholian ships will probably get it, what I was saying is that there are other class ships out there with those science abilities instead of only ''science vessels'', for example the Recluse has a hanger and will probably get the secondary deflector because it has Sensor Analysis & Subsystem Targeting. So again, an Exception would be welcome for the Tal Shiar Adapted Battle Cruiser in my eyes.

There is a note at the end of the blog that says; it?s critical to note that all of the above is subject to change throughout the feature?s development process. The note is the reason why I mention my first post, because it is subject to chance I'm only hoping that one of those changes will be an exception, nothing more, and I wont be mad if it will not happen, jut hoping. So I get that!
About the Warbirds, wrong about the dreadnought yes, confused not so. Off-topic; without the Ha'nom Romulans don't really have an easy accessible science oriented ship.
I think I'll just wait for the secondary deflector to become standard rather than try for one of these ships.
Interesting concept, but nothing about this really makes me think it's worth the time to get now. Especially with how the Fed one looks. Only good looking one is a Romulan.

The only tholian ship that will probably get it is the Orb Weaver. The Recluse doesn't have sensor analysis as far as I know.
And please tell us what Tac ships will get ... more Weapon Slots ?
Like the Defiant on TV, so that it has beams and Cannons and Torps?
Or a better Amor like the TV Defiant has ?
And to make the game better we need now all dialogs spoken by actors of Star Trek TV Shows and i mean in German not only Eng Voice Overs like its already in Star Wars (Online) The Old Republic.

Yep you are right, still hanging in the thought that there are other ships out there with one of those two powers and not being ''science vessels'' including the Recluse and TSABC.
But my hopes are still up for those kinda ships to be included, fingers crossed.:D

Why do people keep asking if x ship will get this? It's laid out very clearly.
As for cruiser commands. Romulan warbirds aren't clasified as cruisers. Simple as that.
And please tell us what Tac ships will get ... more Weapon Slots ?
Escorts have had something special since the game came out :"Can equip Dual Cannons"
Besides that, they don't need the extra help like SVs do with these secondary deflectors or Cruisers did when they got comm arrays.
===
So I am wondering, how long till the rest of the SVs get their new slots? The dev blog was a bit vague on that subject.
Also is the deflector on the new ship locked to the that ship or can it be put on other SVs.
This will help further differentiate their roles. It's canon and makes total sense!
Thanks, Cryptic!
(And here I normally play an Eng in a cruiser!)

I guess the Vesta 3 pack I paid good money for is about to get gimped to compensate for this. 3 of my 4 Fed toons run the Tac (main toon), Eng, and Sci Vestas, so this is likely going to hit me hard...
I wouldn't see why. Since all 3 Vesta versions are SCI Ships (i.e. They have Sensor Analysis & Subsystem Targeting), they would get the benefits of the Secondary Deflector.
Thank you for the time...

Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:
Full, Story-driven, select from start 1-50 Klingon Side
Scrap current Lock Box & Lobi system for something more reasonable
Expand Dil and Rep/Fleet Marks to regular story content
Escorts have had something special since the game came out :"Can equip Dual Cannons"
Yeah, that's not "special" by a long shot, nor is it exclusive to escorts. Destroyers, warbirds, multi-mission science vessels, carriers, battle cruisers, corvettes, raiders, light cruisers, dreadnoughts, and raptors can all equip dual cannons as well.
The Solanae Secondary Deflector focuses on a group of offensive Science bridge officer abilities that drain or otherwise weaken a target. While this unique Secondary Deflector is equipped, the following Science bridge officer abilities will cause shield damage to your target while restoring shield strength to you:
Tachyon Beam I,II and III
Charged Particle Burst I, II and III
Energy Siphon I, II and III
Tyken?s Rift I, II and III
Viral Matrix I, II and III
The shield drain effect is improved by Auxiliary subsystem power. This Secondary Deflector also offers minor bonuses to following starship skills:
Starship Shield System
Starship Flow Capacitors
Starship Shield Emitters
Glad the deflector officer doff is getting fixed at the same time. The sci destroyer ships will be awesome drainers.
And please tell us what Tac ships will get ... more Weapon Slots ?

The armor is built in as additional hit points. Escorts are (rightly) not getting anything, as these last few upgrades to cruisers, raiders and science ships were made for the sake of balancing them to overpowered escorts.
Thanks for the expansion that had "as much content as the last"
9 Episodes = 30+ episodes...?

It's pronounced "S.T.O." "Stow" sounds idiotic! lol
what no Love for the Gravity Well? alot of people use Gravity Well and these Deflector's are going to have no extra effects for it?
hmm guess ill have to wait for builds and see what people do.
was this the blog that explained/show what the 3 rewards from the Tuvok mission are?
There are 3 different secondary deflectors... they gave details on the debuff/drain deflector... there is still going to be the control one which will affect tractor beam, etc and maybe that one will improve gravity well.

This is good, glad you finally updating the Science ships. This makes them more useable. And help finish up where you been adding new features to the other ships.
I'm looking forward to creating a science captain now. Once you implement the deflectors to the rest of the ships.

Why do people keep asking if x ship will get this? It's laid out very clearly.
As for cruiser commands. Romulan warbirds aren't clasified as cruisers. Simple as that.
I wasn't asking but merely wondering, because nothing ever is 'laid out very clearly'. If cruiser commands were supposed to help balance cruisers (as in eng heavy slower vessels), it should have included warbird cruisers (because again, compared with typical tactical heavy warbirds, they loose out).
Now with the secondary deflector, they are currently saying they'll give it to every ship with SA+SST, but a) it's very soon and they clearly haven't yet quite determined how useful the additional slot will be; and b) it's allways all subject to change.

Wow did they just made Science ship useful once again. Am liking this, and am happy I kept playing my Science captain even though it was hard ever since they nerf as big time back than. Thank you cryptic it looks like my rom Science captain is about to get a well deserve science ship.
"You ask why we give our ships computer normal emotions. Do you really want a warship incapable of loyalty?"
I do PvP. Escorts are good. They don't roflstomp the way they used to, that's true enough, but that doesn't make them useless.
see thats why I said you should pvp first.Escort never "roflstomped" .
PvP was always "team with most sci stuffs wins".Also science ships are not about dps yet even those without fpb can sometimes outdps escorts.

Escorts still can hold their own fine in PvP and be awesome when helped by a good sci captain.
Escorts are the polar opposite of useless. They really don't need anything extra.
On topic: I love this new mechanic, and I'm looking forward to its rollout on all sci ships.
pve doesnt matter. You can play everything pve related with a shuttle or with a miranda.
you read that in the "lets cook with timmy" book probably or pve forum.
Vesta equivalents please!
Who said anything about PvE? Escorts do fine in PvP.
no ,I meant you should pvp first then say that.
cruisers already got that support thingy ,science ships already had subsytems targeting and now 2 defletors.Guess some pve hero is missing something.
