Some items are race bound like you cannot put on a Klingon stuff designed for Romulans etc etc

Yeah, the only thing I can think of is if you're trying to change the outfit of the officer you get from Marauding (KDF only), this is a rather well known bug.

yeah i get it on my Farasan too, my KDF Trill and other toons i have too. I think some of the comments here that refer to wearing parts your not supposed to or are faction specific are not what is happening here because i get this message when i try to rename an outfit i have already created... that is to say, im already wearing the outfits in game...

It has to be a bug, if it allowed me to create and wear outfits already and i purely wish to change the name from something like Beechcomber Red And White to reflect the new creation or the changes i have made, be it items or PURELY COLORS, it wont let me change the name.

One thing i have discovered, is if i create a new outfit from the base first slot in the picture list, things seem to work okay, but if trying to create a new one from an already created outfit slot (mainly to retain the colors already chosen or category of outfit, to save EC on the changes lol, or even to create a blue version of that red outfit) then things go awry and i cannot change the name to reflect the new status. Same is often true if i go into an existing outfit to purely change a color or what ever.

This bug has been going on for months, I first subbited a report about this during the Risan Summer Event and its still happening, i really wish they would sort this out, coz its a royal pain in the bit u sit on :(
