I forgot Lore as well. :)

Cryptic has had so many great PvP players, its to bad they never really pushed it. Had they been able to retain just half of those they lost this would be the best PvP game community hands down. (its still great... really though the talent that has been around in STO is just crazy, you don't run into the ultra caliber in any game all that often)

I would agree with g0h4n4 people that try there best to drive the community. Folks that do that while remaining solid players in all aspects of the game are few. Naz is one of those. Always trying to foster good pvp. Helping arrange torunys and pvp matches as often as he can in places like TD. As a player I have also found him to be one of the few originators build wise. I have seen him fly many strange combos, builds that most people would crash and burn he will pull off, for no reason as to find out what works to use in his uber builds. lol

There have been a ton of great players over the 4 years though. Saddly not many of them are really playing anymore. Of course many newer players have jumped in and became very very competent players, I don't mean to sound like grandpa on the porch talking about the good old days. For new players Hank has been mentioned and I will mention CaptainFook as well. The Cap has gotten very good at almost every role by sheer hard work and analysis.

Would be great if Cryptic really did dig in an bring PvP back in STO... it would be great to see old friends like the Gripple Chew ghostwolf and ash get back and battle the range of great players that have been around over the last 4 or so years.

Lol, funny you mention Mr Chew... was just thinking about him when I saw the thread name. I don't think is fair to say there is one good player, and I may sound like a grandpa now, lol, I also remember horizon, crimson, you husanak, Mt, Brandon, strike, Yoda, blackjack, drunk, mavario, maikay, zorena... and really don't want to be unfair to others not mentioned since there are probably 10-20 more that I could name and are a pleasure to play with. From teamwork, skills, being funny and very communicative to being very deadly. People like you guys are the only reason I still play this game! Even if that's not that often as I used to...
    Hear! Sons of Kahless
    Hear! Daughters too.
The blood of battle washes clean.
    The Warrior brave and true.
We fight, we love, and then we kill...

considering these factors, my vote goes to Vincent@Multistar.
He is a great escort pilot in team pvp and moreover a calm and kind guy. When we flew matches with him he always remained cool in any situation and also has a very well-marked overview in the heat of the movement.

I have high respect from this guy, probably u dont know him that much since he communicated not that often in pvp channels actively. Moreover his performance in pvp was always constant as long as I know him.

Unfortunately he left sto a few days ago.....

It is often not the most 'famous' people who are great guys but those who are humble and shun the limelight and just get on with having fun and contributing to the community.

There are no best to me. Attitudes are what decides anything.

As much as I hate to say it, Bieber is a very good player. Why no one has mentioned him I do not know. BTW, he didn't always have beiber toons. :)

Agreed, you don't have to be the best at killing to be the greatest player, if you have the right attitude, that goes a long way than killing and trash talking after wards.

Those who don't proclaim to be the best, still eager to learn both from defeats and victories, no QQ and no gloating and most of all respect for his/her peers whether colleagues or opponents and upholds their integrity in the face of adversity/cheese.

Agreed. Bieber is the true embodiment. I cannot recall a time, EVER, he has ever been anything other than polite.

J/S if anyone deserves a spot of "who is" he should be on the top of the list.

i can talk for a team, and the team i would love to run with was:
    Hank -Tac Inner Circle
    Yoda -Tac TRH
    Shift - Sci Nova Core
    Bieber - Sci Sad Pandas
    Qoro - Sci Nova Core

that in my opinion would be one of the best teams out there

but there are some good players out there that also deserve some credit but its hard to remmenber them all

I agree, Biebs has always impressed me from the first day I met him.
His ability to read teams/situations is uncanny.

And g0h4n4, I once made the mistake of under-estimating Biebs in a tactical role - because I had never seen him play anything but Sci.

    Once.
