Install Arc

stuck at [ Connecting to login server ... ]

The launcher now frequently stuck at the

[Connecting to login server ... ]

This happen not on the initial launch, but when you swap toon
Usually it went idle for a few minutes before it gives "connection to the login server timed out" and return to the username & passoword screen.

This just happen today - so im not sure its related to patch or S8. maybe some changes in server? pretty sure not ISP too. good connection and ping to multiple location.

Just because you can ping and connect to other sites doesn't mean your ISP if free is issues connecting to STO, as different locations on the Internet will have different performance metrics... So unless those other sites are located in the same physical location as the STO servers, this observation has little value...

Use the 'Trace Route' and 'Net Test' network diagnostics described in this thread... http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=225155

... and post the results, as that would provide some clues on what the issue is. And even better, use the Windows 'pathping' command in place of 'tracert' and post those results as well...
