Eh, 6 turn without the Cruiser Command to "make it go" better on occasion... no thanks, even with ridiculous hull/shield capabilities. It still takes a year and a half just to pick up the loot drops the mighty beast creates. The Sci ship is great, though still more interested in the Temporal Science Vessel; the additional Space trait (or two) does make a difference, and I like turning. The damage debuff proc from the fancy weapons had better have a noticeable duration or massive reduction, otherwise... dead things do less damage than debuffed things. Mirror Ships... they look familiar, weren't they already available? Overall, more impressed by prior goodies as they were released.

Sorry to be negative, but hey, that's my feedback; plus side: I can still use Master Keys on the prior lock boxes if I feel like gambling ;)

With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

Last time I checked, these mirror ships are repeats from a past lockbox, why are you so butthurt...

Hmmmm sciscort eh? Since when does a LT science make a ship a science ship. And btw those LT science slots are on the prime universe versions as well. So this isnt something that is new by all means.

So in your job you intentionally spend your time making products for a small amount of people rather than making products for a larger amount of people?

Feds get more stuff since feds have more players than KDF. That is a fact. Don't like it. Play Fed. By selling more Fed ships than KDF ships the game gets to stay in operation. This is a business not a freaking charity. So because you want more KDF ships the 2-3 (IIRC) ship designers are going to make stuff and sell to a very small amount of people, when all that hard work could go to making more stuff to sell to a very large amount of people? Its called addition, they can make more money selling c-store fed ships than by selling c-store kdf ships.

    /end rant

Good that you end your rant cause you obviously didn't read the notes that where put up.

    It's a SCIENCE escort.

The NOTES say it's a SCIENCE escort.

    Pure and simple.

and on your last little note of "well no one buys kdf stuff so they put no effort into it" ... Well guess what champ ... there is NOTHING to buy so there goes that little idealistic bubble of well thought out bit of useless information.

Kdf have had NOTHING worth buying for two years and we won't ever due to that rubbish train of thought.

With with that flight deck goes the last of the truly unique KDF ship classes in the game. KDF designs have now been fully assimilated to all other factions...

Having said that I look forward to getting the Bastion FDC, seems like a better ship than my Fleet Corsair is...
    :\

At least there's a 5 sci slot ship KDF toons can now acquire.

Problem is it's via lobi which is unfair.

Just found that. I LOVE the costume. With a bit of mix and matching, should be a fine addition to my pseudo-Cardassian.

    200 Lobi, I'm guessing?

This is something i think is wrong... Put the costumes in the z-store.

Anyone else think those bridge shots look similar in layout to the Bortasqu?

    KDF never get it easy.

I do agree there. Feds can just throw a VR doff technician's worth of EC at the Exchange to get the plasmonic leech console. KDF has to use Zen.

Base Turn Rate: 6 degrees per second?

scimitar has 7 degrees per second... and is a bigger ship...
Displacement is not the same as mass. A dirigible has impressive displacement, and no way is as dense as a sea-borne warship with less displacement.

you cant be serious with that sci ship, that has to be a joke. its basically a wells with a second LTC station. its an orb weaver that turns better and instead of 2 lame ENS stations has a LT, like it some kind of full carrier. whats it give up for this? it gives up haveing low hull and shields, it is forced to deal with haveing the best hull and shield combo of any sci ship by far :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Everything reminds one of everything. The ships have to work within the overall framework. In the end, it's all layers of rock-paper-scissors.

Not so different than RL battle wagon planning.

is it just me or am i the only one who feels there has been WAY to much time effort and content put into these lock boxes of late rather than put into somewhere in the actual game?

I'm torn; on the one hand, you're correct, they certainly put a lot into the 'grand prize' and lobi ships for lockboxes, the genetic resequencers, the DOffs...

On the other hand, we still keep getting the same flippin' Mirror ships...
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
