Can't connect to account sever

I keep getting timed out.

Anyone else?

    And the Website is running extremely slow.

    Same here :( Happend when I changed characters, then I couldn't get in the game again.

    The website works fine in ie, but is very slow in other browsers.

    Just connected and got in-game from home -- is this still occurring?

    The Web team is investigating reports of Website issues.

    BranFlakes, my game has been crashing at least once a day since the release of the new FE and STO has never crashed on me before.
    However, until now I was able to get back in game. Some 20 minutes ago it crashed again and now whenever I try to come back in game it crashes again when I hit the 'engage' button on the launcher.

    Trying to quote the estimable Sopworthsnipe failed for me after six attempts.

    Managed to open the general reply box after four.

    However, its been intermittent all day. Sometimes it just works, sometimes it doesnt

    As for the game I got a server not responding ingame that lasted 5 minutes before being timed out and not being able to reconnect.

    Even posting this, once I hit the post button the browser spun for a bit before giving me the following error code

    tried uninstalling, and reinstalling but now launcher wont update.

    Yes, unbelievable lag, rubber banding and ping over 200.Whats going on?

    I'm having this problem too. I had minor connection problems yesterday but today is much worse. I've been trying to play all day (8 hours or so) and only managed to connect twice. Even then all I could do was watch my ship twitch and wobble around the screen which was, I'll be honest, hilarious :D

    I haven't been able to get beyond the Account Login Server for over a week now.
    STO Member since February 2009.
    I Was A Trekkie Before It Was Cool ... Sept. 8th, 1966 ... Not To Mention Before Most Folks Around Here Were Born!

    Literally every time you see "server stability updates" in the patch notes, you can bet the game will be unplayable and the forums will be sluggish for a week afterward. Irony much Cryptic?

    I haven't been able to play at all since Wednesday: Timeout on patching, on login, even managed to select character twice only to have it time out....

    Very frustrating :(

    Yesterday I sent in a support ticket for login problems. I was disconnected and when I tried to log back in the launcher got to the "Version" part on the progress bar and froze. This would happen on all three servers.
    My support ticket still reads as unresolved but this morning it had seemed to resolve itself. I was able to log on but then again got disconnected from server and now the problem is back.

    Very strange. Have you checked your firewall and AV settings? We're not seeing anything on our end that should be preventing you. Possible OS update issue? The account sever hasn't been down recently (except during maintenance) and the forums/ website issues yesterday were not related to the game or AS.

    mine was working fine as of when i sent you those tweets a few hours ago now the launcer wont fire up at all it keeps saying cannot connect to update server

    I had to delete the game from my 'puter and reload it, to finally be able too at least, get back in without a timeout.

    Now that I'm back in, it took several (like ten) CTD's before I was able to complete "Sphere of Influence" on my Fed. toon.

    I then tried to initiate it on my Romulan toon, but the game times out and CTD every single time I click on D'Tans "Accept" button.
    (finally gave up after about twenty tries this morning)

    My Firewall hasn't changed in ages and I'm not having any problems with any of the other myriad of web sites I connect too.

    I didn't start having any problems, till after the Oct. 21st patch.
    Since that point, on many occasions, the game has actually forced my modem to crash also.

    I'm of the opinion that the game itself isn't really the problem, but trying to connect through cogent in Boston, is the culprit.

    My tracert's have all pretty much shown that that is "the weakest link"!


    I still have to re-patch TRIBBLE, I'm not even going to bother with Redshirt at this point, since it'll probably be gone in a week or two anyway.

    Funny thing is, I haven't really had any problems with the Launcher or DL'ing the patches, it's only been just trying to play the game.
