A lot of the older ships could really do with a general appearance and balance pass. There's been a lot of power creep as the game's gone on and some amazing looking ships, the older ships, especially the c-store ones could do with a catch up.

Isn't it a general problem of Star Trek Online and the priorities of the developers?
I mean the devs put way too much effort into adding something completely new - in terms of ships, planets etc. so that they completely forget that for the playerbase and Star Trek fans original know aspects of this Universe are way more important.
The issue of the good old known and iconic ships such as the Galaxy, Intrepid, Sovereign are complete lacklusters in the game in every aspect is a clear fact. I would love to see their priorities shifted towards listening to the players and finally adressing these issues.
I would gladly pay some Zen to get an "State-of-the-art" Galaxy, Intrepid, Sovereign on the 2409 level ships.
I don't say that they should completely shut down development on new ships.
But fact is that they are running out of ships and players would be welcoming these remastered ships more than newly-invented ugly ones - only because "we must invent the wheel new".

A great idea. Me and many other players who place more emphasis on proper Star Trek ships would have liked this ship more than the "Regent class design"
I would pay to unlock remasters of the old starships. Especially the Intrepid, Nova, Nebula and Galaxy.

To me it'd be enough if at least the hullmarkings were applied to the Sovereign. She is the only ship (to my knowledge) that has no markings.
This is surely not such a big effort... Or am I wrong here?
I expect not equal a complete overhaul of the ship, but at least this detail but should be available. Finally, she is a Starfleet ship and should therefore bear the emblem of the Federation, right?
Are you talking about the dark saucer and hull markings on the Enterprise-E? Because, the Andromeda pattern is basically that.

Though Sovereign has been my favorite ship I do think they could make a dreadnought out of the design. Though I believe they want us to decommission the sovereigns for the avengers even though the sovereign may look cooler. Though if the Sovereign were to get more love can make fleet Sovereigns with stronger hull. Right now hull is at 39K unbuffed can be more if there is fleet Sovereigns.

I would like if the sovereign had a little more of its..... slendor and shine... when it shows up for the first time in first contact it is distinct, shiny and rather slendid looking.

The damn nacelles! They are too big, and too far forward. So make them smaller and a tad more curved. They aren't supposed to be all hard and angular like that. This is why i use the Regent nacelels they look a heck of a lot better. (sovereign pylons on Regent not so much)
Secont the Impulse.....Exhausts? Ports? Engines? Those GIANT red spots on the hull, also too damn big. And they are a hair too angled.
As for the regent herself well she is too thin and long, (this is very noticable if you throw the sovereign pylons on)
The other two ships well, the two ugliest galaxy variants made it into the line-up of sovereign variants.....
The now Fleet style looks pretty cool though so i am kind of excited about when my fleet hits T5 shipyard.
Inertia just means you can do Powerslides in you carrier!

Imperial is a nice style, but i have an issue with its pylons and the how the nacelles are joined to it , so i only use the saucer

For the New Orleans class I was thinking it should be a heavy destroyer and as for the Norway an escort, but more science leaning, due to its history.
I'm sure there are a ton more canon starships that I'm leaving out too.

I kinda like the pods on the New Orleans , Given the similarities of this with the galaxy class, Could it function as a suitable Combat focused version of the galaxy in game that people seem to want for some reason, and also add some extra visual diversity at the same time?
I would very much like to see a Destroyer that i can have without needing to have lifetime, but then i guess the lifetimers deserve a few perks after their investment to the game

I would love for them to add a Sovereign skin from Nemesis to the C-store. It feels dated next to newer ships even with the Fleet ship exterior. I personally believe, adding the uncompleted retrofitted model would be a very positive move!

I personally use bits of the sovereign hull and pylons, With the imperial Saucer and regent necalles, With the majestic neck to make it fir togetehr right, the result is in my opinion a toughened up looking sovereign
