I`m actually getting sick and tired these disconnects during loading screens... You play the game, you know that you get a loading screen everywhere you go.
Are you aware of this problem that your server disconnects the player during loading screen? Are you working on the problem?
If you dont care just rename the "loading screen" to "disconnecting screen".
Things for me are right back to the way they were just before the patch but now it's even "slightly" worse, I am having trouble even getting my characters to load in character select.
I got into the map once, but immediately SERVER NOT RESPONDING for eternity
This started happening to me about a month ago after two years of it not happening at all--in fact, I can't get to the server right now. Usually there's a logjam inside Cogent Networks which slows everything down, but this morning it's clean from here to there. I can trace to the server but it's just not responding.
"Frustration level increasing exponentially, Captain. It will be off the scale in three, two, o--"
You can thank the horrible internet companies here in the good ol' USA seeing how its infrastructure is soooo out of date and held up by big businesses providing poor quality service for over inflated prices.
If this keep happening for the next ten days, they need to push forward the new season release date to November.
If they don't its going to be chaos
Now, the funny thing is... ...even if they magically improve the US internet-infrastructure, we'll still see a few days of utter chaos when the new season arrives.
I feel with You though. The only thing worse than bad internet, is no internet.
Strangely enough my connection here in Denmark is pretty ok, rarely any rubberbanding, and few disconnects. -Some... ....but not hair-rippingly bad.
I am having major disconnect issues. It seems when I either switch maps or when a queue pops and I get into a STF or other mission, I'll get rubberbanding for a bit then totally kicked off after 'Server not Responding' for a minute or so. I've checked cables, switched to and from wireless connections I have available and nothing seems to help...Only started after yesterdays patch. Before that, I haven't had any issues...

Did you check your connection through the Internet to the STO Servers? What does you 'Trace Route' and 'Net Test' network diagnostic results look like? Both tests are described in this thread...

So your 'Net Test' is only showing unidirectional data transfer (which is not good) indicating a Internet connection issue, and the sudden increase of latency close to your Internet connection looks very suspicious.
You will probably need to contact your Road Runner ISP and ask them diagnose a issue with severe packet drop on your connection to the STO servers...
Thanks grouchy. Did another trace today after I noticed things seemed to be running smoothly. It looks like it took a different path this time. Wonder if RR got their sh** together or if this is just random...

I get some rubberbanding in its place though.
And the suckiest part of it all, not cryptic/PWE being the ones at fault so there isnt much that can be done. I hate that fact. Very much.
