Have you guys noticed this on the new dev blog?

This 5 fore 3 aft weapon loadout is only available on the Scimitar Warbirds. However it was already stated that warbirds will not receive Advanced Comm Array commands. Thus, the only other ship that will receive this and have 5 fore 3 aft layout is likely to be the upcoming battlecruiser.
It makes sense actually, since it was stated that Battlecruisers will only receive 3 out of 4 of the commands.

3 aft beam arrays... :P
Asking for 4DHCs, 1DBB, 2 turrets, 1KCB, loaded with A2B, DEMarion and a BO doff.

Thanks for Harajuku. Now let's get a real "Magical Girl" costume!
Thanks for the info. Oh no did they build this ship from minecraft?

True, one reason i could stand the Oddy is that at least its looks are good.
I'm not thinking A2B on that. I've grown fond of the 3x Damage Control DOFF trick and am thinking of a different layout:
TT I
BO I, CSV I, APO I
EPS I, Aux2SIF, EPW III, DEM III
HE I, TSS II
HE I, TSS II (or play with a Tractor Beam I, TBR I - handle a spot defense on the TBR nulling high-yield torps)
Would dish damage, tank, could shred a target to hell and back and would be plenty tough enough to handle any Elite STF with a good Capt.
If only I could get around its ugly-back-assward look.
Just another sign Cryptic doesn't "get it"......
I think I like it...
Hard-core stats on that thing, and the turn rate, surprising, but it looks as short as the Galaxy compared to the Oddy.
I think I'd prefer this over the Typhoon.
I can only assume this is going to be a C-Store ship, and it's going to cost at least 3000 Zen. No one would buy the other ships if it cost 2500.

My name is Rage, and I too support a revised Galaxy family.
Fore: 2 Torps, 3 DHC
Rear: 3 Turrets or 2 Turrets & KCB.
Backed with my choice of a Damage Control or Aux2Bat build.
The Klingons got bumped down the list so the Feds could get this thing... that's not going over well.
Although I do like the improvement to all Cruisers that this ship will test. It actually makes having a cruiser or two in the mix awesome. More Firepower & More Shields.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
A lot of people thought the Scimitards would all be DHCs, and most of them seem to be running beam arrays because of the turn-rate.
PVE it doesnt matter. PVP, I would be thinking about the rear blind spot. Turrets and beams arent going to keep people away back there, so probably need something like mines. If you close off the rear enough you could maybe get away with DBBs on the front. Its a cloak not a battlecloak.
...
...I like it. I like it alot. Even might work on my sci if I tailor it right.
Good job PWE/Cryptic
Newbie question: what is a KCB?
The Borg 'Kinetic Cutting Beam' obtained from the Omega Reputation system.
Damn I knew that! Thank you.
Just saying: The Ssscccchhhimmmitar is more OP than this
Also: I bet they're gonna make something special for the klinks for once, perhaps a K'vort, or something totally new?
Klingons have been waiting on a Regent-style Negh'var Refit since it was teased... six months ago?
True but I love both I buy both and I get my cookies on :X... So what's more op The cookies
Oh look the pirate.... wow so you stole my cookies and milk huh jake :P sparro
Since you mentioned DPS you mean PvE. The (Fleet) Avenger certainly outperforms almost all available escorts. Just use DEM3, EPtW3 and Aux2Bat with a 5 cannon build. The lower turnrate isn't a problem, STFs aren't hit and run.

DPS is also used in PvP and can be tracked in it as well. A well equipped Excel' should be able to hold its own against a 5-DHC dependent Avenger. Other load-outs will vary. The Avenger may be a sort of "Queen-of-battles" for the Federation, but it will not reign supreme.
