Crazy amounts of DC's now getting Unable to Authenticate

The past 24 hours have been TRIBBLE. (ever since patch)
-Last night while doing 1 mission, I had 9 DC's
- Then game crashed
- Got "Attempting to connect to controller tracker.."
- Verified files more times then I can count (lost track at Potato)
- Would get to the "CRYPTIC" splash screen, and it would sit there for about 2 minutes and then finally say "Fatal Error: Unable to initialize on-demand patching and connect to Patch Server: The connection was idle for too long."
- Did the whole " "Disable on-demand patching" thing and finally got on, but still for DC'd a bunch more times
On Computer 2, online for 30 minutes, and
- get the "Server Timed Out" msg
- try to log back in, "Server Timed Out"
- Restarted computer, and now I'm getting "Unable to Authenticate"
Seriously, You've had enough people telling you that the Patch is messed, you might want to get on this and fix it.

im getting them also usually when the pve que is open or at the bank.
+ I DID A mission yesterday and did not complete so I had to redo it.
+ I did CE event .. got the reward but .. no shard or reward in my inventory when I then returned to normal space x 2.
My network and internet is not the problem, my game client is not the problem.

Actually, it sounds like your Internet is the problem, as I haven't had any issues like this myself.
Use the 'Trace Route' and 'Net Test' diagnostics described in this thread...

... and post the results, as that will provide some clues on how healthy your Internet connection to the STO servers are.
No issues here since I started playing STO about a week ago...ran the Trace Route test, and all my numbers are in the 50-60 range...'course, it's a brand new Desktop, so....

as what other European players have posted this morning, it looks like tinet.net is having congesting issues resulting in severe packet drop on the gateway to tinet.net Trans-Atlantic cable link. With both tinet.net and above.net having issues this morning on their Trans-Atlantic cable links, are large number of European players are being affected...
Your quality control is a joke, I'm ashamed to have subbed for lifetime.

Worst bug ridden game, you should be ashamed, except you just keep on churning out lockbox/zen TRIBBLE for $$ instead of fixing bugs or monitoring server congestion issues.
This, this... THIS. So much: this.
That said, it seems to be a working business model for them, and it speaks more to us as customers than it does to them the provider of the merchandise, really. I.E. we'll take it and ask for more.
Have submitted a ticket but no response as yet! Totally bummed!!
Addendum:
Tried to play right now.........and the situation is that upon entering gameplay, the lag and rubberbanding is so extreme that it feels as if my ship is going through a continuous time-loop....and a few minutes later it is 'Server Not Responding' and then 'Disconnected from server'. Happened in every login....and I tried that about 7 times and then gave up!
Appalling!! Is anyone listening??? Please resolve the issue asap!!!
