Well in 2012 they said 2013 - didn't make that - but I think 2014 for sure.
What i understood is that we will have a new ship in early 2014 .... during the 4 year anniversary event (what a coincidence it is in early 2014 to :cool: )

Negh'var is my personal favorite KDF ship design, but I REALLY hope it isn't another battlecruiser. Unless it is going to have a Cmdr Tac slot on it, it really won't add anything new.
A Raptor or dedicated sci-ship though...that's different and would be quite welcome IMO.
Speaking of the Regent's Negh'var, no harm in putting a 2.5km long super dreadnought in is there? :P

Something to give the KDF a Heavy Battle cruiser worthy of the name title heavy. Becuase the Torkie is good but fragile and the BortasQu is not up to the task.

I wouldn't mind finally seeing the K'Vort BOP. Since that is the only cannon ship hadn't made it to the game yet.

Its more likely that after this ''big project'' that another platitude will replace it as the reason the KDF gets pushed back.
It's all useless banter until I see something on Tribble. I don't take anything the Devs say as fact because of all the excuses we've gotten over the years. We know they don't like this kind of confrontation, I ask them... just prove us wrong...
^This is what I mean by proving us wrong, I complained for weeks after LoR went live. I seriously just gave up and switched to Elite Interceptors. Hopefully this fixes them.....
Yep that can very well happen. Has before in the past. With them working on this current project. They are possible putting a lot of other stuff on hold for now. Which is why when KDF or anyone gets something. That is when we get it. Cause fussing over lack of stuff didn't matter much over the years. Look at what happened to KDF. Just don't get hopes up. It will come when they want us to have it.

You'd be furious, you'd be demanding your wages at the end of the week like always or their getting sued. What the hell do you mean might.
Now this is a game and a lawsuit would be frivolous and pointless and the EULA you agreed to just to play this game would defeat you before you started.
It wouldn't be so bad if they said you will get a Fleet upgrade for a ship (Garumba or Kar'fi) with Season 8 and a new ship at the start of the year.
But at least we're getting new content which I think we need more than a new ship.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.

In the interim, I will just keep killing Kumari's for kicks until my point gets across that, when releasing a ship design, especially a three pack, there is no excuse for not giving something counter or equivalent to that release for each faction.

I work 40-50 hours a week while on casual rates, I have money to burn but nothing to spend it on. Angry customer is angry... At least give us a TRUE Klingon science ship and shut us up.
Until then, I'll just keep on spending my money on bottles of Jameson, live gigs and my girlfriend.

A Lethean ship (since they are intelligence merchants and telepathic spies I would want to see a sci/'scort lean to this with powerful sensors and the ability to match shield harmonics, maybe)
Ferasan Escort Carrier (to give the KDF a cross between the Atrox "kitty-carrier" and the Armitage)
Any and all of these should already be in-game IMO but the "add more Romulan tactical ships and give them hangars so they sell" mentality seems to be in the way.

As Roach said while back - there is no use being negative any more about lack of KDF stuff - as it serves no purpose. But this time you can be a bit happier than before as Geko said the ship was half done - which does not mean it gets released - but I bet it is half more than was done in the last 2 years:D
I really think the KDF needs a sweeping review of the Raptor, Destroyer, and BOP lineup. All of these have been left behind even as far back as when the Fleet Ship / Starbase System was implemented. Fed ships since then have statistically been quite superior in these departments. Now with the Romulans, who even surpass the highpowered Fed Escort lineup, KDF equivalents are even further behind.
An update to KDF ship types that I listed is really needed.
Now, something else to get you thinking even more is this:
With the recent Romulan Tactical Warbirds, which a number agree is quite lackluster, Cryptic, just 1 week after its release, enhances the ship even more by introducing a hangar. Not even the Feds got that kind of babying, much less the KDF. Just 1 week, they decide to improve the ship even more. This is after complaints of existing Fed & KDF vessels over the years never receiving tweaks, yet the Subfaction Romulans, got an improvement to their 1 week old ship.
