Game Crashes and launcher freezing

Over the last week or so i've been getting a lot of in game crashes causing the game client to suddenly close without warning.

Today this has happen again but I'm now unable to log back in. The launcher starts as normal and after logging in proceeds to patching, but then just sits there doing nothing.

Any ideas how to fix this?

    After a re-boot on my PC the launcher is now patching OK. Not sure what it had to patch given that i was playing 5 minutes before the issue began but hay ho.
