Lots of people keep saying there is a memorial for this guy that passed on Bajor in the REDALERT channel. I see no evidence of it here on the forums. What's going on with that?

I can't say I knew Mark, but he was always upstanding on the forums and he made some kick-TRIBBLE videos. I will miss his presence in the game.

His pressence in the game will not be missed. His F2P video will go down in STO history as being the pivocle point in the game's transistion. Rising Phoenix will always be on the foundry.

More importantly, no matter how many new players come, or how many existing players go. Players like you and I will alway have Mark in our thoughts. When we see H2orat there in the foundry or if we watch the F2p video. You, I and everyone else who had the pleasure of his work will alsway spare a thought.

We at STO are not just a random number of players scattered across the globe.

    WE ARE A COMMUNITY

Started playing because of that F2P trailer. How can someone see that and not download right away?

Same goes to the LOR trailler, if he has something to do with its creation, another great job.

    My condolences to his family.

Edit: while we're at it, since a new ship class remembering him is a long shot, why not add a new unique DOFF after him? Im sure thats a sweet way to say that hes gonna be everywhere in STO.

    Its sad.

Brandon, we really ought to have a memorial for him at one of the places he designed.
Its the least we can do, but I'm sure it would mean alot to him if the community he helped create came out to say goodbye.

Regardless, thank you for all of your work on behalf of a grateful community.

And its semi-personal to me as he was basically an STO battle buddy of mine from several STFs, including an epic Khitomer Accord space elite where he and I barely managed to stop a probe that would have ruined the bonus after a very long and hard slog through the gateways and their defenses. I had no idea he was a dev for Cryptic. That kind of thing rarely comes up during combat.

I know I'll miss him. And his Foundry mission that they're featuring was good too. Worth a play through.

    TL;DR RIP Mark.

Maybe Brandon and Whitney could do a special edition of "On Screen" as a tribute to Mark, to highlight his work, so show other players who may not be aware that Mark did that or Mark created this. More importantly to pay tribute to a man who took STO to the next level through his F2P trailer. Celebrate his genius

We all play Star Trek Online out of a respect and admiration for the series, and by extension a simple wish. That mankind will one day climb beyond the cradle that is Earth. That we'll one day lay down the pettiness of our differences and pick up the solidarity of our similarities. Mark, if there is more beyond this flesh I wish you fascinating journeys. Its a big universe. May you traipse amongst the stars with the grace and ease of the ships you've portrayed in the many gifts that are your videos.

    Safe Journeys.
