I like it. It's obviously the T4 D'deridex Tac alternative.
People WANTED this. And now people are complaining.
Sometimes I really dont know what to make of all that whining about everything.
"Give me a banana!"
"Well... here you go."
"WAH YOU GAVE ME A BANANA YOU JERK!"
Already got like 15 tactical bananas on 3 Romulan banana toons .... how about some oranges or apples ... :P ... so I could enjoy playing a Romulan apple toon, without gambling for a Temporal apple or something
Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.
Tom might have asked for a banana, but Jerry might have asked for an orange...
So uh, yeah - it may be a case that some folks are happy and some folks aren't happy...
...why would that be surprising and why would you assume everybody asked for the same thing or that the people that are complaining are the folks that asked for it?
I am assuming folks know that there view point is not the only one. And not everyone is getting everything at the same time.

Not sure if being serious, my sarcasm detector has gone off the scale!
Mines broken at this point...
But I guess it shouldn't really be all that surprising.

I'm seeing the sad look on all those tactical cubes whom just heard that all the existing romulan ships aren't "Tactical" and that the real tactical warbirds are yet to be released :P
So far we have Warbirds with 5 tac consoles, Warbirds with 5 forward weapons, and a Warbird with both... hm what's left to top those Warbirds now with a "Tactical" Warbird?

This will be Defiant/Andorian Escort grade tactical. Commander Tac, LC tac, Ensign tac (if not universal), Lt engi, lt sci, 5 tac consoles at VA fleet level, a turn rate comparable to Defiant and JH attack ship, (enhanced ?) BC, Plasma Quad Cannons.
It won't be the very best out there, but pack a huge punch.
This is the ship with plasma quads, look at those cannons!
Yes I'm aware of that, but why does the Romulan ship that come with the quads weapon follow the other two faction design. We don't even have a sci ship for Romulan.
"You ask why we give our ships computer normal emotions. Do you really want a warship incapable of loyalty?"

A ship with 6 Tac consoles and 6/2 Weapons then :P

Rommies already tops FED/KDF in any aspect of the game - BOFFs and ship-wise. They got also far more content and new ships. New faction, need some love, of course, but KDF players should be enraged with Cryptic by now - it's like KDF doesn't exists anymore for the DEVs.
And btw, i thought that the scimmy was the 'i-win' romulan ship. How anything can be more tactical than that? 6 tac consoles? 7/3 weapons? C'mon. And i DOUBT its going to be a 'mirror' stat-wise from the Defiant. Itll be better, and thus expensive.
I quite like it; it reminds me of the Griffin & Raptor classes from the STA2 game. That said, I thought the Republic Flag Ship was next in line for release? This ship appears far too small (just look at the windows) to fulfill that role.

It does indeed. I just finished test both.:P

I'm curious, but if this is to serve as an alternative for the Deridex at Tier #4, is there going to be a Retrofit version of this ship before the Fleet version, and is that Retrofit version going to take into account the veteran token thing?
I reached #50 yesterday and am looking to make my claim. If this is going to be released as one of the claimable retrofits for lifetime subscribers, then I might hold off and wait for it's release.

Looking forward to the dev blogs.....

Okay I laughed hardly at that.

Also it says 'Tactical WarbirdS' emphasis on the 's'.

For a refugee "faction", the Rommies sure do have some top-of-the-line shinies.
Because even a downie can fly as a tac captain, it takes skill to fly a Sci or Eng these days.

If the T5 Retrofit/Fleet specs match the looks, I'm gonna have a hard time choosing between it and the Daeinos Heavy Destroyer.

(Steam - feel free to follow/friend me : )
Heh, I guess Cryptic making an actual science oriented ship for once, must be to hard for them to do.
I don't include the temporal ship and the Ha'nom for obvious reasons....

But I'm betting this is what people been waiting for, that has the Plasma Quads.

T4 with plasma quad cannons, and a T5 with some sort of beam console weapon. I'm patching up my client now to give it a whirl.
EDIT: never mind it's Tac/Eng...

From the Boff Setup pictures I've seen, you could make it a Tac/Sci if you wanted too. The ship comes (at present) with a Universal Lt. Cmd slot.
