Which part exactly did you mean? There is a lot of chaos created by Enterprise and that last episode given how rushed the series end was.
Specifically, the untimely demise of Commander Tucker and the lack of grief by the crew. I kept waiting for a "surprise-it-was-all-a-trick" kind of moment. I mean, he even winked at Archer on his way into the hyperbaric chamber. We had a funeral for 15 day Tripp (Sim), but not the real one?
I know the show was being cancelled, but given that the whole episode was a holographic program, would it be okay to create a foundry mission that fleshes out what I think might have really happened, i.e. the holographic program had been tampered with, history is wrong, or more hijinks by Q?
In other words, if there were a season 5, how might you use the foundry to continue the story of the Enterprise?
I'm trying not to type too much specifically about the series, because I don't want to hijack this thread. Apologies to the OP if I did so.
"Crewman, your resume says you are telepathic. Then could you please explain to me why you failed in your attempt to confiscate contraband from the crew?!"
Damn, I've just had a fantastic, mind-numbingly complex time travel idea to follow up to my first mission. Might take longer than the time for this though... plus I just threw a paddy about how it's too early... and I have to put my other stuff on hold... but it's reeeeeally awesome.... hmmm.... what do I do, what do I do!?
One of the core ideas in the time travel mission I did is going back in time multiple times to fight the same guy. Each time you go back further into the past.
Which part exactly did you mean? There is a lot of chaos created by Enterprise and that last episode given how rushed the series end was.
The biggest issue there is that it wasn't a series finale at all... It wasn't meant to be one. It was scripted as a season finale, at the time they started shooting they didn't know if they would get season 5. Which is too bad.... I was REALLY looking forward to seeing Kzinti.

Tucker wasn't dead... If you watch closely his "corpse" winks as he's put inside the coffin.
I never like the idea of rewriting something that is established in order to bring a specific loved character back. You can explain it in other ways, but dead is dead as far as I'm concerned. When you start killing then bringing people back (whichever method you use) it destroys the narrative gravity that death has (see Rory in Doctor Who, if you see him die you don't weep, you just go "oh lord not again"). Only exception in Spock, and in such a case the "remember" provides leeway. Ditto at the end of series 2 of Sherlock, by appearing at the end it doesn't force it for series 3 (unlike most revival stories in any comic book franchise).
Personally, I never really liked stories about time travel...but if we've got time travel, why not raise the dead?
On a related note, I found a novel that deals with Tucker's death. It mentions the wink he gives Archer and goes on to launch into the dealings that led to the war with the Romulans - which is where season 5 might have gone. Novels aren't "official canon," but neither is something I create in this game, so my hopes and dreams have been fulfilled.
Would it possible to list the Foundry maps that are related to the past? (if there are any) I know a lot of them are generic, but are there some that are a bright orange space station, etc?
"Crewman, your resume says you are telepathic. Then could you please explain to me why you failed in your attempt to confiscate contraband from the crew?!"
I think the Romulan War novels weren't bad, I wouldn't want those stories to be canon but the idea that the whole 'saving Shrans daughter' and 'Tucker dying' was an historical cover up was cool.
I am going to take the basic premise of 'In a Mirror, Darkly' and the last Batman Movie and take them a step further as a continuation of my Beneath the Raptors Wing Series; Valdores disgraced Son has got a hold of a Tkon Gateway (Similiar to novel) and is using it to complete his fathers 'destiny'. He has stolen and wiped from history several ships of the same name; 'U.S.S. Bulwalk'.
With the assistance of a Temporal Agent you uncover the truth of the plot by taking another trip to the 22nd Century... Post Romulan War.
What is there plan?

In the thread on why Romulan Ale is illegal, I challenged someone to put into the foundry a mission that explains whatever event led to that historic and long standing ban (I'll play and tip 100 on any mission that claims to answer this). Just wanted to reiterate that challenge here and was wondering if anyone else had things from Star Trek history they'd like to see answered via a foundry mission. Some people are still looking for ideas, lets pose questions and see who comes up with the best answers!

Well, I somewhat hastily registered my mission, checking if I can actually create it without wasting 6 hours per change.
Edit: Nope. Not gonna happen.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Don't forget Romulan TOS (unless I missed that addition). No way they'll be released in time though. But on the knee high boots, hell yeah! These boots are made for walkin'!

I just had an idea of how to 'travel to the past' without actually traveling... the problem is I really want to carry on with my 'beneath the raptors wing' series.
On the bright side this new idea will make spending time with my girl easier.
My idea is based on the 'Federation - The first 150 years' book.
You visit a museum and revisit important events in history, why you are here I havn't yet worked out, but its a good basis I think.

Iconian Gateways = travel through space or space and time?
Good idea. How many ways can we travel through time so far anyway? We have the old slingshot round the sun (is Naked Time and Little Green Men counted under this?), a temporal vortex, a temporal rift, a temporal distortion, temporal displacement, temporal flux, temporal portal, temporal transporters or a transporter TRIBBLE up, temporal/chronoiton radiation, the energy vortex in time squared, the Nexus, the Guardian of Forever, a black hole, Q just being Q, the Bajoran Orbs, wormholes, subspace fractures, Admiral Janeway's shuttle beam thingy and the alien portal thing in All Our Yesterdays. Though it seems if you take a random word and stick temporal (or, if you're adventurous, Chroniton) and you're safe. Just think, does it work if Data says "it appears to be some sort of temporal ____, but unlike anything we've encountered before" - and if it isn't weird or funny then your some sort of temporal plot hole is good to go!
Edit: Oh, and you always have that fantastic solution in that episode where Kes was jumping through time - "anti-chronitons". Shame my weapons can't shoot "anti-Klingons", makes just as much sense.
On a different note, anyone want to look into explaining the Tomed Incident?

I was going to do something with the Mirror Universe.... Future Feds send Player (Mirror) back in time to kill mirror spock... future terrans arrive.. stuff happens bla bla bla...
Now I'm leaning on doing something which links back to my other mission "Depths of Nukara Prime"
As the issue with slow previewing is being resolved with today's maintenance, I have extended the challenge's mission submission date by 2 weeks (the challenge was originally posted 2 weeks and 1 day ago). Details can be found in this post. Thanks for your patience as we worked to resolve the issue!

I am not sure if I can finish my mission in time for the contest and even if I do and I did won; I wouldn't be back from deployment until mid-december.
BUT... if I do finish in time, I will do it in memory of Mark Valentine.

Not fast enough . This would be so much easier if I got fired... Would have loads of spare time to work on it then! Much quicker now the foundry is fixed though . Yours coming along as planned?

That said I have a little "sneaky" Iconian story going
