So, the veteran ships have only 9 console slot? Is this a practical joke, a bug or are you people serious?
If this is supposed to be the intended amount of console slots for a 1000 day veteran reward, im very sorry I ever spent money on a lifetime sub.

Ive never bothered to look or even use them..the romulan version looked appealing to me, so I decided to requisition it. It took me all of 10 minutes to go back to the shipyard and change back to the fleet mogai lol.
I feel ripped off to be honest, especially for a $300 lifetime sub ship.
I subbed prior to the fleet system and their 10 console ships, so the 9 console Vet ships were pretty competitive... they still are, at least for those who didn't buy a fleetship, or have a Lockbox ship.
I also don't look at my LTS in terms of 1 ship. We got a variety of things... If you bought the LTS for the ship... that was a pretty bad move. In the end, I don't believe you bought the LTS for the ship... focus on that.

how is one less conole going to affect you?
if you are good with the ship, a single console should not matter
Yes, because that one ship is the only perk to a LTS.
You saw enough that the romulan Vet ship looked appealing, but you didn't read the dev blog that said it had 9 consoles. Awesome research skills.
It is not just the fact that it has less consoles than some ZEN store and all fleet ships in the game, but that it prolly has the LOWEST shield modifier in the game as well.
For a $300 ship, this is not acceptable. How hard can it be to bring it up to at least zen store or fleet specs? And not only does it only have 9 consoles, one of them has to be taken by the Tactical module, so in reality, its only an 8 console ship..it needs a total of 10 slots, end of story. And bring the shield modifier up to par... .8? is just to low for a destroyer class vessel
Ok 1) I think the B'rel Retro has the same shield modifier with only 9 consoles, and that ship rocks. Maybe slightly outdated post LoR but still a nice ship. And 2) you seriously paid $300 only for the ship  .
With only 2 science consoles they don't make the best science ships but you can easily switch boffs to take on different roles. That can be handy in STFs if you start one and find the team is short on eg. heals.
All vet ships have 9 consoles, always have.

another science slot means additional field generator with up to +20% on shield.
another engi console means up to 20% resistance against damage.
don't try to tell "its nothing". especially on a ship already with 0.8-0.9 shield modifier.
Agreed, let's not forget that it's lotus ability takes up a precious console slot too, so we're infact dealing with eight console slots to work with.
But as it was mentioned earlier, there are plenty of threads asking for another console slot for vet ships.
It's a pretty ship tho, too bad we can't get a fleet version.
yea LTM membership cost.. bummer that.. and I know that 500 zen per month is just horrid.. and so are the uniform pieces.. and shinies... and never ever having to pay a sub again but still get all the sub goodies... and please.. as an orginak LTM holder from game launch.. instant access to the vet ships..and remeber vet rewards go to all of your characters.
I don't have a 10 console ship for any of my roms yet, and its not a bad ship for PvE at all.
That's extraordinary.
ppl been doing that from the first lock box ship
system Lord Baal is dead
You're not forced to use the console just like the fact that the console gives you more than the lotus. The Dynamic Tactical System is probably one of the best consoles around...the only thing I would wish really changed is maybe lowering the cooldown a bit on the TIB and Lotus.
With Romulans, that has become somewhat less relevant. You can run 2x AtB on the Dhelan and the Mogai. It's slightly sub-optimal, but works. The Dhelan for example winds up with an awkward extra Ens. Tac whereas I'd rather have it be universal (or just Eng/Sci). Lacking RSP makes it slightly less durable than my Vet ships, but not terribly so. You can always battle cloak and GTFO, after all. Plus your various singularity powers. The Scimitar has the vet ship's exact same "perfect" Boff layout. Take advantage of the "shields while cloaked" to abuse the hell out of battle cloak and overcome the turn rate issues, and the Scim is just as good if not better than the Vet ship.
Oh btw the shield mod is laughable at best as well, i jumped right back to my tvaro.
Nice rip off cryptic

Source? or u just babbling out of your mouth?
As for only having 9 consoles this ship has a passive buff to shields based on the Regen Mode and the Tachyon Inversion Beam ability doesn't require a console to work. With the KDF/Rommie vet ships you also get a built in cloak.
People need to stop whining about these ships. They're designed to be versatile and they fit the role of a destroyer perfectly.
You're leaving out one smallish piece of information:
Romulans already have two destroyer type ships that fill the role considerably better, and with superior stats.
weak shield + weak "buff" =/= good tank
and tachyon beam with 5 min cd isn't something a player could be proud of.
Cept the cost fleet modules or zen and are less versatile when it comes to Boff building.
All the KDF BoPs except for the Fleet ones have lower shield mods than that, just so you know. They also have lower hullpoints and less tactical consoles.
It is not a 300 dollar ship. It is a perk. It's a bonus. You're presumably getting this ship at 1000 days veterancy. That means you've essentially been getting Gold membership for 400 days, on top of all the OTHER perks 'veterans' get.
The ship is, for all intents and purposes, free. Unless you are a damned, blind fool and bought a lifetime membership when they were having that 'immediate access to veteran ship' deal for the express purpose of getting the ship, it is free. And if you DID do that, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
ALL Veteran Destroyers are labeled "Prototype", just like the free Oddy and Borty were...which then later reappeared as non-prototype 10 console fleet level ships.
