Nerf Request Borg Stfs

Please o please nerf the timers when u die it getting on peoples nerves for a simple fact people leave just because optional fails on elite stfs or people staying permanently dead or people afking as i call it free loading. which leaves 3 people in the one i did today we had 6 spheres tac cube and gate we manage to get it down to the tac cube only to be instant blasted, all 3 of us in a space of 3 seconds soon as well all respond we attack again only to die quickly again finaly after 2 hours we we managed to get the tac cube down to 41% for us to be blow up again more then 20 times the tac cube instantly heal itself then we gave up.

If the timer was not so high we might have half a chance please lower to at least a reasonable 30 seconds over all.

All u r doing is punishing the people who are trying to complete the stf

    From what it sounds like, he's complaining about the respawn timers on the STFs, which increase in length if you die again within 2 minutes of respawning after getting killed.

    Here's my recommendation, OP: If a leftover group of 3 people can't complete the STF, just cut your losses and leave as well. There is zero point in frustrating yourself to that extent for a measly STF.

    If you had a IQ larger than your shoesize you would understand that he is upset with the timers because OTHER people quits and does F.U s'hit because of the timers!!!

    Getting the optional means you have an exceptional team. If people are leaving, you didn't have an exceptional team.

    I actually got that, I just had to say something about his first paragraph though, it gave me cancer. In all seriousness though, if you're dying that often that the timer is increasing, then there is either 1)something wrong with your build, 2)something wrong with your play style, or 3)Your just having really bad luck.

    My solution is: Normal STF, Infected the conduit. Can be done with your eyes closed. People can mess it up as much as they like that it's never completely broken.
    The only downside is that it rewards very few marks.

    The STF's, especially elites, are designed to be completed with some difficulty by a team of 5 players you need an average DPS of about 3.5k and everyone to understand what they need to do in each STF to be able to complete (finish) them.

    You seem to have had some bad luck, with your PUG's and I feel your frustration, but I don't think making the overall challenge easier is the answer... as someone has said the normal STF's are present already. Alternatively find a fleet and play with them then you have a "guaranteed" group of "invested" players...

    If someone is "playing dead" or "leaching" or even not engaging in a PUG report them...

    To be fair, though, this thread's talking about the respawn timers, while that other one's talking about overall difficulty of not just STFs but all the public queue missions.

    The sphere's should be dealt with as a team to eliminate them quickly, as for the gate it is a piece of cake if you hang way down low and at about 9.5-9.8km and focus team fire on it. As for the Tac cube, it is best to have one person aggro it for a tiny bit than draw it slowly away from the group like an escort do to its speed capability to leave and return quickly. While any pug group can lead to a hair pulling experience, for the rest who can actually flow as a well greased machine of a team, tatics always help win the day.

    nerf this...nerf that. First there was a thead about playable borg fraction, then someone was cleaning elite stfs are very easy, and now this. Must be a special day today :D

    this should help:
    1. don't pug in elite
    2. bug out once you have been targetted by borg till they switch their attention on another planey
    3. lower the skill points in yout threat generation skill
    4. know your style. Standing and pressing/clicking fire button like a lab money is not enough
    5. have some healing boff skill for yourself.

    Isn't the whole point of the Normal vs Elite segregation that if you can't hack it in Elite you can still play normal mode.
    Elite STFs are already considered trivial content, so dumbing them down further seems counter intuitive considering the mudflation and considerable amount of options for extremely well performing ship layouts.

    So, the OP has a problem with a difficult game... but instead of working to get better, they blame the game? (Insert meme here)

    There is no reason why you or anyone on your team should be dying as many times as you say they did. Either they aren't doing effectively at tanking or killing enemies fast enough (depending on the ship).

    Tons of people are doing these STFs (elites) and having no major problems. Optionals are dependent on how good your team is, but generally, 90% of the time, elites are successful.

    You really want to remove what little challenge there is left in this game?

    The STF's are for the most part idiotically easy... Here it comes, no kidding:

    My son at the age of 6 recently completed a STF without dying once on my char.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
    Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

    Are you playing on elite ?? if so then elite isn't for you..
    If you play the stf's on normal and you die alot, you are doing something very wrong.

    The timers are not the problem. Perhaps, if you posted your build, we could point things out and probably get them fixed?
