I have THOUSANDS of mail from the Exchange. I dont pay to play this game to sit and delete mail that should never be sent in the first place. And now your telling me I cant post on the exchange after tomorrows patch because YOU have sent me too much junk mail. Im sure that a lot of people like to see what they have sold... but not me a tons of other people who work the exchange in MASS every day. I love your game and play it every day and probably have paid a thousand real dollars to your company.. but not to sit and delete mail... to play the game. ALL I ask is PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ADD A DELETE ALL MAIL BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Save us all time and you memory and just get it done. Thank you for your time.

im not understanding why they are getting so stingy on this mail thing..

altho it sounds like the item sold emails wont be included in the 200 email limit.

You used to be able to delete mail from their web page login, but when that went to PW it was lost. Set up a macro and leave it clicking every two seconds overnight, that's what I did and am now the proud owner of an empty inbox!

I wish i could but the mail is so full it slows down the connection to a crawl. Takes about 20-30 sec to delete 1 mail. Might take a couple weeks to get through it all. And like a said in my post. I pay to PLAY not delete spam mail. Sorry all Im just frustrated that Im getting penalized for selling things to people in game by mass. Most of the time I have 200 auctions up across 5 toons. EVERY other MMO I have played(which is a lot) has had a Delete ALL mail button. If they can program in this funky mail system cant they put the button in?

I still have mail from before STO launched and never set up a macro. And I really shouldn't have to. Using mail did not break any rules. If Cryptic changes the rules it's their job to provide the necessary tools so that we can easily adhere to the new ones. As it is now everyone who used the mail system according to the old rules and didn't instantly delete everything is punished by being unable to put loot up on the Exchange.

    I absolutely agree.

I have literally hundreds of undeleted mail in my mailbox, i can't even open the mailbox without freezing the game. How am i supposed to delete them one by one?

Another nail in the coffin for STO IMO....

The patch notes are not very clear are these limitations per toon or are they account wide because a limit of 200 Items or 200 mails per account would be unfair to someone who has paid to have extra toons!

I recently came back to STO (I played for about 6 months at launch) and now my messages are full of gold sellers, it seems ridiculous that there isn't a delete all, or even a way to select multiple messages to delete....

But even if you're getting 10 a day it's not like it takes more then 1-2 minutes to delete 10 emails. Heck, if you're a guy you probably spend 1-2 minutes just scratching your testicles and thinking about what you want to do in game. :D
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Since today's Patch Notes seem to limit emails to 200 maximum you won't need to worry about 400-500 a day any more. :)

I've reported this issue before about the snails pace mail with excess stuff in the inbox. Devs, you really need to fix this issue by

    1. Adding mail access to the STO Gateway which I have preached this several times.

    or

    2. Adding a Previous/Next Page option like in a real email system to reduce client lag.

With this new Exchange/Mail System in place we need this now more than ever. So fix the problem already its been damn near a year since I last reported this issue and submitted tickets on it.

Even true email providers would choke on 500 mails a day.

Maybe you should just prioritize your exchange/mail usage a bit. If your spending that much time selling things to get EC on the exchange how do you have time to actually play?

I will never have a bleeding heart for those using the exchange and mail as their personal banking system.

Putting checkmarks next to mails so we can delete many at a time would go a long way.

Just line up the "delete" button with the "confirm" button and mash your mouse button.

It took me about 90 seconds to empty my mailbox of 200 items. You should be able to get this done in 5-10 minutes flat. C'mon, don't be so lazy.

Once upon a time, we could access mail from outside that game.

But if you add a delete all button, idiots would cry because they pressed it and deleted a hundred items that they conveniently stored there.

Most of you people whining seem to have brought the problem on yourselves. You kept hundreds/thousands of old emails and it never occurred to you that could be a problem later on? Would you do that with your actual email?

Actually, don't answer that last question, I'm sure most of you would.

that cool. You are our Hero. I was dooing just tat every day (I sell alot items) but then they broke mail system some 2 moths ago and i was unable to delete. After that if I try to open mail it freze my game. By my estimate i have areoun 50 000 exchange mails. tried to pleed to GM's and support but my oldest ticket is 35 days old and they havent responded. Now I'm unable to sell enything becouse of new system.

Only in my fleet there is more than 10 ppl with same problem.

This points there is thousends players with same prob in this game and they post mayority of item on exchange. That allso point that prices will rage becouse there is not enough items to go around.

I can see you think that way, for me i kept a clean mail box when we had the online access from the website. But I got tired of the multi click and few seconds wait on all the automessages from the exchange, AND i reported it as spam in hopes it would not come to me. But they brought this problem on, insisting on a message be sent every stinkin time i sell a stack of 100 commodities.

So I let the email build up because it is a game, not a job and they have made it tedious to clean up their imposed disaster.

The good news is in the Azure nebula I can work on my mail between freeing rom ships since I am not one of those that feels a need to kill all the Tholians. Cuts into my doff time but I am making progress.

    I totaly agree with this.
I have over 200 emails in my inbox, from the exchange, and now I can't put anything on the exchange because of it. I've cleared out all the items, but now apparently, you have to delete the entire mail too. I have every single mail since the day I joined. It's going to take hours to clear it out... PLEASE add a better mail interface and management.
