the past few days i've started to have some serious lag issues in which my character will rubberband. sometimes the lag only lasts a few seconds. other times it lasts for several minutes making it impossible to progress in a mission. This can make simply walking across a room a chore. I could count on one hand how many times this issue effected me before the most recent maintainence but now it seems that since the maintainence it's gotten worse. My computer is only a year old and it wasn't exactly on the cheap side when i made it so i'm not worried too much about a part on my end. I will also add that switching characters it takes forever to load sometimes and also to load into the game. Anyone else been having issues?

I've noticed the same with my computer, and have read the zone chat logs and noticed several others are having the same problem both with Star Trek and Neverwinter.
Same here. Also DCing a lot. Sometime I log in and while the game doesn't freeze (I can see other ships moving about) I can't move mine. After ~2m I DC.
I am also having these ridiculous lag issues. 2/3 of the Starbase 24 games I play I get noticeable rubber banding problems. I am certain its not my ISP or computer as I have no problem with other games (playing with 20 or more people in a Skype call with ZERO lag). But for some reason when I play this game my latency will randomly spike.
Craptic needs to fix their craptastic servers before I'm done with this nonsense.
I keep getting told to stop whining, its my ISP, even though I have it happen at multiple physical locations and others report it, too. ST:O is my only online game lagging like this. And now I can't log in, period. Server issues, maybe?
Glad to know i'm not the only one having an issue. It's not my computer that I know for sure and i can safely, save them saying otherwise themselves, rule out my isp. No other game does this but sto and it started right after the recent server maintainence. I also don't buy the excuse that the ISPs of different people all around the world are all having issues at the exact same time or are getting throttled. The weekend of the 4th excuse is also not viable imo. if the weekend of the 4th was the problem then all games would be doing this and all my internet should be lagging, not just sto.

Came back to point out that since today the game has become unplayable as I can now no longer connect to the game and even if I do it crashes a few moments later. This happens with no other game or anything to do with my internet. I have also tried the EU and US proxy in separate attempts to no avail. The EU wouldn't even let me connect and the US didn't do a thing either. Not trying to be a jerk about it but this is getting ridiculous.

I tried checking the safe mode box in the options from the launcher page and logged in that way. I also did a safe log in as well. I'm not sure what that did but it's not given me grief since I tried that. I also cut my video settings to one step above the lowest settings as well just to be on the safe side once I was in the game.
Right now i'm running in safe mode without a proxy and it seems to be doing fine right now. I've not had any issues in the past few hours. Idk what that did but it seemed to help. Worth a shot.

Not seeing any difference when safe mode is checked. Well, other than the launcher taking an extra 15 seconds to load. I'm still getting absurd rubber banding. Multiple instances of "server not responding" and two disconnects have already occurred.
How long will can I put up with this until I switch to a different MMO? Only time will tell.
It worked well enough to get me onto a toon but once I had to switch toons to move something then it went to poo again. Since I've done the safe mode thing it's helped me personally some but it may not work for everyone. hopefully the next server maintainence will help clear up some of the issues.

I've run into a similar issue... I'll be playing OK... then all of a sudden (while in a mission) my ship turn rate drops to like I am in sector space using slip stream, and i am moving very very slowly (everything around me seems fine and uneffected), (while in sector space), I can turn, and fly around without issue... but changing speed (slow/stop/reverse) has no effect (and I can not change maps).
The server isn't in a "not responding state",I see the ships around me continue to play... I can even continue to chat.
In interests of finding some sort of commonality;
I use Time Warner to provide internet, Nvida GForce Experience just had a driver update before noticing the problem (or at approximately the same time). Running XP
Anyone who is having the same issues see anything in common with their Rig?
I did ok tonight but the lag and rubber banding this weekend was so bad I couldn't get anything done. I would get a quarter of the way around the promenade on DS9, then get pulled back and even had some "aftershock" rubberbanding. Lots of DC'ing, too.
My ISP provider came out Friday and installed a new modem line and the signal level was great, so I'm pretty sure the bulk of the problem this weekend was not on my end.

I am unsure of what is happening but it does get unplayable at times and sometimes I get booted from the game.
And that is why I am in the forums right now as I got booted 3 times this hour.
