2x Aux2Bat with 3x Technician Doffs will make that Commander Slot pull double its weight (the Lt slot will be best used for extra powers you don't use as much).
I'm curious to see how the Jetpacks will work off Risa, if they even will work off Risa. If they do I hope that they are similar to how the frosted boots work (run speed increase).
Also curious to see if the Corvette will have a unique bridge as well. Hopefully it does and hopefully it makes the ship worth getting.
I find it hilarious that you think all KDF players are amazingly talented supermen while Feds are just a bunch of drooling hillbillies. As a red side only player I'm not going to argue with that, but it think your statement could still stir up some irritation

Not really, I only play for the blue side - you know for love and justice and honor. The Klink have regressed so badly since LoR that none of them seem able to fight alone or outnumbered. In Kerrat, if both sides have equal number of ships, the Klink will duct for cover soon enough. If the Fed outnumbers Klink, they will remain cloaked the whole time like mouse. Only when they outnumber Fed that they will show up and all gang up against one single ship. If that's what you called "more skilled", well, I should post pics of all the Klink I killed in Kerrat, they are fragile and easy and have no idea to deal with cloak attacks.

The difference is, I have access to adv. Starfleet technology that you don't have. Maybe you would care to revisit the above once in Sto'vo'kor?

Hmm - if you are refering to KDF BoPs - there are "Hit and Run" ships - that is how they are designed.
Also they work in packs - that is how canon designed/portrayed the KDF BoP - usually not strong enough to take a Fed ship on 1v1 - so they attack in groups.

Come on DDS - 98% of the people who play this event and get this ship are going to be blown to pieces in ESTF with a 27k hull and 0.9 shield mod.
I know for a fact that at the end of July the forums will be full of rage posts about how weak the ship is and how mad players are that they get blown up ALL the time in this ship.
Most players could not build a boff layout that would offset that low a hull and shield mod - you know that. This is going to be an issue end of July - I just know it.
hopefully people can look past my oh so arrogant judgment of things and follow the link in my sig to my help thread. thats were my know how is, its there to raise the average player bar, and create more mid level and high skill players. and its done just that for quite a few actually.
It woudn't be STO if DDS didn't announce every ship needs a nerf before it's even available based on a long string of abbreviations that 95% of players don't even understand. Tradition dies hard, and DDS's play style and adamant belief that it is the only valid way to play is as unchanging as stone.

In DDS's defense - he knows the game mechanics very well - how they can be best used to maximize a ship/build, however, unlike DDS 98% of the players don't have even 5% of his game knowledge and never will.
a great many pvp'ers, my self included, can look at stats and already know exactly how they will perform with the build that will best maximize the strengths, and best cover their weaknesses. its just a mater of experience in similar ships with similar builds. i fly the tvaro so i know how an escort thats that fragile needs to be treated. this ship has a smiler station setup to many ships i have used, BUT it will also have a insane turn rate too. its easy to see stats in action like this.

Well, I was hoping the corvette would be a peaceful ship, like the tuffli. But no, it has to be a very potent PvP vessel. Oh well...

Although the environment looks really neat, the rewards are geared towards players under level 45. I will also pass on this event. It would be a waist for me to grind. I hope the next event will be more promising. If the environmental changes to Risa are temporary, I think many people would be disappointed. Risa needs a permanent facelift. I hope the environment stays.

I think this is more a result of them being on a tight schedule since the idea of the summer event was suggested by players and taken on. From what I've heard, there are two female one-piece swimwear models in the game files (I've even seen pics) but they're not fully polished and it's unclear the bare chest models are ready for some species. I think the new smaller leg models have also screwed up the fit of a lot of clothing and footwear (seven of nine tall boots for instance) including the swimwear as well. I get the feeling the summer event was pushed back from the 21st to the 27th too and that this is they best they can do for now. I'm glad that we're at least getting something I hope swimwear can be added at some future point, even if it's via the C-store.

Dang, 25 days to get the ship? I don't know...I'll try for it but I couldn't stomach the 14 needed for the CE event. Ah well, at least all the other stuff looks neat.

That ship definitely looks interesting. Lets see if I loose interest quickly like I did with the winter event. She would make a good second ship for my KDF Andorian looking Alien Space Pirate. Her ENG skills might help with the survive-ability.

After reading this, what I hope for is that the character pictures shown display the explorer outfit, and that the beachcomber outfit is actual swimsuit material.
actually theres quite a few pvpers around, the ques pop quite often, and i often see at least 25 people qued for 1 thing at a time. with all the rep grinding ive done, the pve que doesn't pop any faster then the pvp que does.
im not sympathetic to these your describing. they are the type that want the game dumbed down around their inadequacy, they dont want to actually learn to play. these are also the people that dont have the frame of reference to pass judgment on if something is actually op or not, but that doesn't seem to stop them from shamelessly trying
you know that in the right hands - ANY T5 ship is OP in PvE - but as you have stated there are a great many that don't want to learn - just play n go.
Anyways - if they don't buff it - I see a few rants coming after 25 days - that's all I'm saying.
It's not like this will replace my T'Varo or B'rel anyways so - meh.
