    Looks good, but I'm a little let down about the ship.

    It's just an escort, it has a pretty decent boff layout, a really great turn rate - and too much firepower.

    I was hoping for something more like a tuffli, a combat inept utilitarian ship with some sort of special warp core for making cruising round the universe a pleasure. Instead we just get a bog standard escort, which I won't bother flying because I have plenty of good (better) escorts already.

    One for the ship collection, but you missed a trick here!

    Please give it a warp core, something like reduced transwarp cooldown and warp >10 sector speed. Please! I was hoping to get one of these for all my doffing alts but there's no point now.

    I shall be one of the first in line for all of the items!

    I think this time I will collect all the items (especially food) and leave them in the bank like it's a museum

    Very interesting to see that they say the ship is based around speed. The speed and turn rate of this ship is impressive, but only impressive in non sector space. Personally I feel like if the ship is decked out to go fast at impulse, it should also be able to go fast at warp.

    I'm curious about the Risa floaters: will those be useable on other locations like ESD too? Or can they just be used just during the event? I'd hate to see my Caitian officer get some competition whenever I'm jumping to the highest levels of ESD :P

    Nice blog Bort, but i really want info on the much awaited Scimitar.

    The Scimitar is to me atleast, more important than this event.....

    Funny thing - the only reference to racing craft had them racing at impulse speeds only. At warp, you have less of a chance to watch I guess

    Like the hull variations. Reminds me of cigarette boat racing.

    While that's true, other than for cosmetic and collector reasons this ship doesn't really have a purpose if you already have better ships. I can understand not wanting the ship's stats to top ships that you have to pay for (c-store, lockbox, fleet) but they could always make the ship have utility functions to make it actually worth getting besides the cosmetic and collector reasons.

    Yay, another ship I can't get because I've already got 12 days during the time period you have to get the pearls that I know for a fact I won't be able to get in game.

    Same problem I had for the winter event.

    One option is to run the race as many times as you can and then lobi the rest. But I'm not sure you're willing to do that.

    Yeah a escort i'm not disappointed but it could have been a neutral/civil ship like the "tuffli".

    Any idea whether the Risa revamp/resort map will stay as a permanent replacement to the existing Risa map after this event concludes?

    Don't get me wrong, its a pretty ship, but come on another escort? Why should I get this? Its another combat ship in a game lousy with them. Yes I know, most of the game is combat, but that didn't stop you with the Tuffli. Why not just make it a race ship, purpose built for farming the tour the galaxy event?

    Bah.

    And did you have to pull the same limit on the days? Why not have this event open the entire run at the beach? Don't you want more people to play the game more? All this is going to do is burn people out faster.

    How about giving the Caitian, Ferasan, Saurian or Gorn something else then, instead of excluding them from the cool sunglasses.

    Gorn are already so limited in customization...

    At last a hit and run escort, I'll be trying that out.

    Also just noticed my little fleet Nova will have more hull HP...erm...

    Because many people might not bother showing up for the event if they did that? I know I probbly wouldnt bother.

    This is a great ship for PvP. Heck, it can even field the exact same BOff layout and equipment my Fleet Mogai currently has. Sadly, it looks like a catamaran had a baby with a Star Wars podracer.
