Just to show what folder I will post my directory.

    D:\Games\Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live\Localdata

and the only file instead of the usual 12 or so files:

    Gameprefs.Pref

Edit: odd... That's actually what I see too...

Not sure that there's supposed to be anything in there but that, though. My "Live" folder is still 14gb.

the support ticket page is down, but the rest of the support pages are up.

I think they are busy fixing support.

ok, I thought it was just me, but now I find out it is the game. Bummer.

While I'm here, I might as well say this: I thought it would be a great idea to create a STO app that would sync with the game. The app could allow players to do duty officer missions or other such activities while away from the computer, especially while at work on down time. Just a thought.

Um... er... Oh... I want to... but how to do it? OH I got it!

This is all because of the surveillance of the NSA on the Cryptic Servers that was put into place by Bush!

    NSA strikes again!

Very possible, they have facebook, yahoo and other sites where people converse.

MMORPGS although meant to be role playing in nature can still be tapped for info.

Espically if the Company is owned by the Chinease where that little twerp is hiding (Hong Kong, same thing)

Snowden did say the USA has been hacking the Chinease for years. However that doesn't replace the fact he is traitor. Period.

In the Mirror Universe the server is always up, all the bugs LoR introduced have already been patched and the player base is happy.

Pretty much sums it up, especially 3...

pando can be uninstalled, so thats not a major concern, but if the primary launcher for the game is utter sh*t, then that is a huge roadblock...its very user un-friendly and very unstable/buggy. Hell mine dosnt even show the server status anymore and the engage button doesnt even light (and the game wont launch unless "rapid launch" is clicked.

    PATHETIC.

Its funny, eve players were rewarded for a forced down time because of a denial of service attack recently that took the server down for half a day. How many hours since PRE LoR has the server been down because of emergency maintance and just plain server dumps? bout 48 hours total?

TIME to throw your userbase some love.

So, then you like these outages? This ****ty excuse for a launcher? The lack of response?

Looks like we found us a PW employee.

fafreyxc is right, this guys has no idea what hes talking about. I have only been in the field for 6 months and I agree lol...

I agree. Useless FUD (probably from someone who doesn't understand where Windows really puts its local files). Let's stay focussed here. One person claiming to miss some filess has NOTHING to do with the server being off-line (even if his files really were missing).

    Server Problems:

I would be happy to come work for pwe and do what your company has failed to do.

    1. Setup Mirror Servers Worldwide(Cloud For Non-Techies)
    2. Fire the patch writers / Network Admins
    3. Trash the crappy launcher (big problem)
    4. Trash the pando media booster (bigger problem)
    5. Spend money made on infrastructure upgrades
    6. Dont nerf or punish members instead reward them for dealing with previous company fails.
    7. Dont release new content until other issues are fully fixed.
    8. Move from file based databases that require lots of file locks and defrags to MYSQL.
    9. Dont BS the memberbase.

Anyone else wish to add to the list?
    I agree with 1,3,4,5,8,9...
2 hire new Intelligent people to train the current staff
    6 EULA
7 this one is reaching for any MMO there are alwasy gonna be some type of bug

Like I said, I've got my files...

    Not those files.

There are hidden files, and files that are in the game itself that are made into code, and then hard coded into other files, but mostly the exe file has those files hard coded.

Those are just the files you see.

Well even if Brandon is on a tour in Europe, there's suppose to be an assistant community manager taking over for him when he's not available. I mean that's just plain good business. No telling us ANYTHING is a sure fire way to drive away the player base.

Now granted, I mean this isn't the worst downtime yet. the worst ever on record was when another MMO that shall not be named went down for 3 days.. with no posting and no notice and no updates whatsoever. That.. that's the longest on record. I'm surprised people even bothered to come BACK after that.

Ah well. I was going to enjoy some more romulan interaction.. er I mean. Romulan Federation interaction.. because it's not like the romulans are definitely their OWN faction. We end up working for either the KDF or the Federation. Slave labor, with a price! Whoo!

ya, but its SOMETHING...and since most people plan in advance skill training, 50k sp went to an extra half days possible loss for those unable to plan ahead.

I'll take a days worth of refined dil. We've lost twice that in combined forced down times and server "oopsies"...thats not much to ask.

Yea shoot ill even take half a day of refined dil
