I'm totally with you on this! I feel that people who don't use the language properly should be banned from public forums.
Thanks. I'm just saying that the downtimes don't bother me THAT much and people who can't even take the time to spell out tiny little words should slow down and relax.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
Exactly my point. I would by far rather participate in constructive discussion - unfortunately the vocal minority are not interested in that.
I know, imagine the good we could accomplish without the "I'm entitled" posts! Heck you never know, the dev's might even visit more often, if I were Branflakes I'd find it hard not to ban/block certain people from the forum for being idiots, but I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion, just like everyone's entitled to tell each other how stupid someone elses opinion is... Oh no, I'm using the word entitled.... It's begun... Noooooooo!

ok, so your my TRIP because OBRIEN would never do a "shard" and if he had to he would do it in the 2-4 AM slot.
whatever was unstable how about fixing my targeting, ill get into a stf, have 15 targets out of range and cant target the one that is in range. ill left click right click (set as open fire all) double click and end up TAB thru the targets and i must look so slow to the team that seems not to have that problem.
or even a fix thats insignificant but will do something like restoring motion to balloon party popper, fix the romulan c-store outfit with the klingon fur sleeves, no matter what setting the bottom bleeds through the shirt, an a laundry list more *the point is u might do something a little more if you boot so many players.
are u  who thinks the world is evolving around who now
I don't. There are lots of Europeans here who don't have a grasp of the American English language and make innocent grammar/spelling blunders all the time.
And people like you don't bother me THAT much either, I just find it funny that you can't take an extra nanosecond and two letters to spell 'you' properly.
I was just adding another fun discussion amidst the whining.
No matter what time the servers get shut down SOMEBODY is gonna whine about it.

I used to try to explain why the downtime occurs when it does, but I have recently ran out of crayons.

That just makes no sense on a game played internationally.
Again, the times they take the server down have the least people playing, therefore the least amount of people are affected.
Here's an example, say 10,000 people play this game, 7,000 in the US, 4,000 in the EU, they would rather bring it down so it affects 4,000 people than 7,000 people, it's just common sense, something you appear to lack.
is this new math, where 7000+4000=10000 and not 11000?

We have rescheduled our brief systems maintenance that was originally planned for today to tomorrow.
We will be bringing down all Cryptic games and some services tomorrow, Friday, June 7th -- we will also use this downtime to add a new patch to STO for server stability updates. We are planning to conduct this maintenance at 7AM PDT (click here to view in your timezone) and expect it to last for only 2 hours. The test server may also be unavailable during this time.
The patch note for this maintenance is "Server stability updates".
Thanks for your patience and understanding,
- The Star Trek Online Team
I love Branflakes.....especially for breakfast in the morning.
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

I never thought I would be glad to be retired and disabled but because of this I am able to play STO as long as I like when ever I like all day long. This being said, anytime the shard goes down would be considered the wrong time but I endure it because I know they are making the game better so I can play without as many bugs. Thank you STO DEVs for your hard work.
Compare the downtime to a tax raise. If you are the only one who receives a tax raise over and over again then i guarantee that in time you'll say "spread the love around".
This is the situation where many in Europe are now. They understand the need for maintenance, but they grow tired that it is always them who have to bite the bullet.
It is insignificant that the maintenance is performed during low activity hours (if that is the case) if it means that the same group is always on the receiving end of the downtime.
Cryptic is well underway of alienating a large group of players while they could easily vary the maintenance times. Downtime once every now and then isn't so bad, but downtime almost every other day during one of the peek hours for your timezone (Be it US, European or Australian) gets on your nerves.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
