I just ran this in a PUG... or tried to. Total disaster. It all went downhill after the first adsorption phase. Players started dying faster than we could damage it, causing a few people to leave, which eventually bled off the possibility of finishing the mission and so the rest slowly left. Needed more smart Cruisers to keep the hull-heals going and less escorts parking themselves in front of the CE under the impression they could use the same old tactics which work on a Cube.
Forget the possibility of PvP, for so much has become pay-to-win, never to be balanced. Forget the promise of exploration and research, for in the grim dark future of Star Trek Online there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting publishers.

Its now Winable if no losers leave the battle and some shoot the Tolians, some the Crystall and some heal the Crystall Shooters.

    Two trys and 2 Wins.

But the time it takes and that i died many times even with Defiant and XII Stuff but with T'Varo it was hard could only shoot my red ball of fire and heal others and of course shoot some Tholians.

"70-75 marks, 960 dilithium, chance for mk XII loot and the chance to drop a shard would bring it in line." whould be fine
18 Cpt on the way to 60: 14 of them are already 50 or over 50, one is 60 and 3 almost 43

The difficulty is alright now, PUGs might struggle or take a while depending on their setup, but any premade group that brings the right abilities will be able to take it down without too much hassle. 2 tachyon beams were enough yesterday, to keep the stacks <10.

I have to agree that the rewards are utter TRIBBLE, though, especially when you compare it to easier and faster to do Elite Space STFs. Half the marks, no tech drop, lower quality loot, half the dilithium.

70-75 marks, 960 dilithium, chance for mk XII loot and the chance to drop a shard would bring it in line.

Yes in Elite mode which is really hard than other STFs, but the mission just give 480 dilithium and 40 marks and a TRIBBLE ship module.
Its very annoying. This mission is painful and slow, minimum 20-30 minutes need for complete, longest than others and those missions give to players must better rewards.
1-2 weeks and the players wont go to play with this annoying and slow Crystalline Catastrophe (Elite)
The normal is much faster at least 4x times and give to players 25 marks.
The Elite mode is nothing just wasting time and give just +15 marks

I know i stopped playing the Elite. Not because it is too difficult, but because the rewards are lousy.

They kept the rewards from when you had to claim daily shards. Without those shards the 480 dilithium and 40 mark simply do no stack up against the time needed to complete an Elite Run.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Just did Crystalline Elite with friends; at first we teamed up with 5 and pugged, which failed completely: we got it down to 20% and there was no proper debuffing of the Entity's 2% damage stacking bonus, so it was regularly getting to about 99 and 100... And then we followed that failed game with a proper 10 man match and nailed it pretty well.

Once you get a group that knows the proper debuffs (it's interesting that subnuc does not work), heals, and even Singularity Jump if someone's using a warbird, it's not that bad. However, the fact you need to pull 10 people, and the fact you do need to organize makes the 40 mark, 400 dilithium, TRIBBLE console/item a bad joke.

Rewards should be equal if not superior to a typical ESTF considering it's a 10 man match.
