The Entity is still undestroyable. We had full team and i think there was another team. We all shooted at the entity and it just regenerated itself to full health. We were shooting at it 30 minutes and all we could do was to put entity's health to minimum 98%. I feel like this mission is just for targeting practice.

Did something get changed with the normal entity today? This afternoon it behaved just like during the event (pretty much a pushover). I've run it three times in the past four hours or so (all on normal) and as soon as it hits 33% the regen outpaces the damage people are doing and the purple beams start dropping shields in one shot and popping ships on the next. This strikes me as the intended behavior for the elite version, since a serious team could probably whittle it down with tanks and healers, but I've watched three full pug groups quit after the normal entity regens back to 100% from 33% while killing everyone within seconds of them coming in range.

5/22 7 am EST- Played and won normal.

5/22 11 pm EST - I played normal twice last night. The first time I teamed up with two fleeties. As soon as I started closing start-up pop-ups, when I entered the event, I was kicked from the game. I re-queued entered a match and was kicked out when trying to close pop-ups. This happened three additional times.

On the 4th try I successfully entered a normal match. However the Entity seemed to be operating as an Elite Entity. Regeneration negated any damage gains. Ships were either 1,2, or 3 shotted by the Entity or by shard collisions and Entity blasts. There was a moment when the entire five person team I entered with was dead at the same time, killed by the Entity's purple beams, not sure about the other 5 person team. I was one shotted by the Entity twice and died 7+ times. However, I received no ship damage because of the Normal play setting. People eventually bailed out of the mission.

Later I queued for Normal and played the mission with no problems at all. Play and damage seemed similar to the earlier Event and the first experience I had playing the Entity since the LOR expansion launch.

First time doing CCE, the teams got past both absorption releases, then it regenerated back to 100% and we were unable to complete the mission.

The second release took my recluse tank down to 4% hull with Brace for Impact and Rotate Shield Frequency. Everyone else in range died. Tanking the entity blasts was fine during the whole time even after both releases.

The lowest ive seen elite CE go to was 88 percent, and that was 10 fleet escorts by pure chance, dishing the most dps possible, but we all died after our initial spike

basically the regen on this thing currently is higher than the total DPS output of probably 6-8 maxed out escorts. No room for healers, and you wont survive without healers anyway.

while we are on the subject of bugs, can cryptic please please fix the invisible torp bug that is currently in elite khitomer and elite infected.

also the borg cubes seem to fire torps over 20km away and still damage you big time, so this needs fixing.

thank you for your continued efforts though, without us players reporting such existing bugs the game simply wouldn't get fixed, and people would move on.
Unlike War Z, where they NEVER listen to the players reports which is why the game is dying.

    thanks guys

Aye, I think I have experienced a few bugs with CE normal today / yesterday. I have the pet on 3 different characters from the event so I am pretty sure something is "wrong" with the event.

The first time I ran it, the event ran fine, nothing out of the ordinary.
The second time I ran it, the event did not run fine, we would get it down to 33% and it would basically nuke my Ha'apax in under 10 seconds (I was thinking this was a gear issue, its not). It got to the point where everyone just left because it was so difficult.
The third time, I used my same Ha'apax, and had no problems

I switched over to my Geared FED character who regularly does 15K DPS in ISE and we couldn't get CE below 90% health. This was CE normal not Elite. This FED did a lot of CE during the event and should be able to practically solo the thing if I needed to. I also was blowing up much more than normal.

Perhaps the CE's stats are glitched and is some hybrid of the Normal and Elite variants?

In a group with the entity last night on Normal. The one or two shot kills were ridiculous in the last 3rd of the battle. I think I died about as many times in that one run than I did during the whole Crystalline Event. I cannot imagine that is working correctly for Normal difficulty.

Happened to me as well. We had a good DPS team of about 7-8 players,
couldn't get past 90%. It looked to me like whenever the crystals exploded it got a buff like the one it gets when the small crystals come back to it. It had like 15 of those buffs.....

With how many players present during the encounter?

it seemed that even with 5 on my team the farthest we could get the CE health was 96% but people were being dc or just giving up so fast that we did not get very far

I had the same issue. I was running CCE, and it would one shot everything with DPS; by the time I called it we had only 4 people total running it, and had managed to get it to about 80% before it finally nuked 2 of us... and the moment DPS dropped a bit it was fully healed.

It was also clever enough to be spawn camping at the time :P

Yes this STF (in elite mode) is broken and impossible to make it.
The entity healing herself without small fragments, we couldn't shot him 97% below with a full team.

Im noticing a different bug that may be related. Tholian ships will at times in this event become immune to damage similar to a deployed aceton assimilator platform thingie where they only take one damage from every shot fired, kinetic or energy, and they have no active buffs, I even tried sub-nuke just to be sure. I have also noticed that the CE does not loose any stacks from sub-nuke, not sure if that is intended or not but I find it annoying when the stupid thing gets 100 or so stacks and begins to destroy the teams.

This is on normal by the way.

i understand the mechanics verry wel,

1, kill the none crystal ships.
2, Large crystal shards must be kited away from big tree, to a range of like 5-7KM+, then u can destroy them. then they will shatter to SMALL SHARDS.

(Small shards will auto return to the Tree and heal the boss if they reach it,)

3.as Said in 2: 5-7KM+ is a decent range/time to kill small shards, this process, must be repeated until the boss is dead.

Notes: This require GOOD TEAMWORK, and organisation, therefor no PUG'S are able to do this, Sindse u are only allowed to use SINGLE TARGET DMG!, So u dont kill Large shards close.

    Tactics:

    1. Players Ignore Large shards and use single target DPS on the Tree.
    2. Split up the team 5ppl DPS boss, 5ppl Focuz Kite and kill shards.

I havnt be able to do this myself, cuz to are to manny players that dont understand this.
ive managet it with a pug to bring this to 66%, due as my leadership. (Ive been Raid laider in WOW for like 4 years) so i understand verry quickly Tactics and Mechanics. But as always ppl act as a tard and dont listen.

Buggs. Often u get ported back out of map, Reason unknown.

Everyone know the mission solution, but again just for you from my previous message.

"Yes this STF (in elite mode) is broken and impossible to make it.
The entity healing herself without small fragments, we couldn't shot him 97% below with a full team."

But yes the other bug in this STF, sometimes the spaceship instantly warping out from mission spot.

I've been in the mission twice with a full group (10) and we never managed to get it below 98% either time. Both times, I was eventually left alone against the Entity as everyone else gave up. Obviously, I had to give up at that point.

Edit: This was after we got rid of the Tholians and Mirror ships, and with few or any Large Fragments. And this was after repeated attempts to get in only to be warped out 5 seconds after getting in.

I am having a problem with the beams the entity shoots. They seem to hit me for about 20% of my health, ans as soon as I het within 10km, I draw fire. I just died 6 times in a row in a normal mode game where the team couldnt get below 30%. I dont remember the entity hitting this hard, or this often, before this week I was always getting 1st place, and it wasnt impossible to beat the CE.

I thought perhaps I...or my team was doing something wrong. Glad to know that others are having issues as well. My team managed to get it down to about 90%, but as soon as our buffs wore off it healed all the way back up to 100 again and everyone just quit after that.

This was my first elite run, and it sure seemed broken. Very fast health regeneration and it's spamming some beam attack that killed everyone in 3-4 hits. We fought for a good 10 minutes and died many, many, many times before all giving up.

    I've tried it twice today....

It goes well enough until the first absorbing-then-KILL EVERYONE phase.. around 65-70%. However, both times, the stacking Re-Crystalize buff had gotten to over 60 stacks, and people were being one-two shotted, while the CE's health slowly went back up.

    It seems like:

    a. People aren't reading the briefing, and aren't using enough drain/rift powers to remove that buff, which by the way seems to roll over, so there can literally be hundreds of stacks of the buff on it.

    b. It's Cryptic's idea of making it "elite", by not having such powers actually REMOVE the recrystallize buff.. Seriously, I don't think I ever saw the stack count go DOWN. Every addition to the stack has a TEN MINUTE cooldown.

    c. People get blown up a few times, see the CE's health go back up, give up, and start the revolving door with players warping out and new players warping in to face an insanely- buffed CE.

    d. The shards, both large and small, seem to have very, very high resists to anything, allowing most of the small shards to make it back to the CE regardless of the firepower unleashed on it.

If I ever win this event, I certainly hope the reward isn't something Cryptic like 40 Nukara marks instead of the stock 25.

Yeah it seemed broken to me too. Wouldn't go below 60 percent health, and it can take you out way too easily; facing shield gone in one blast, and I have played a lot of elite STF's so its not me or my ship :D;)

Reward is a mere 40 NM and 480 dilithium
First run today we finally finished it after 30+ minutes grinding away health, second run today people left 1 by 1.

I like a challenge and all, but this mission is simply not cost efficient. I grab all easy/med missions on nukara (internal/external) within half an hour and gain higher rewards.

The Azure nebula rescue and Rescue Vault (forgot the exact name) both give 20-30 NM and only take 15 minutes. CE Elite, as it currently is, is a massive waste of time.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

First run after update i hooked up with a PUG which had endurance and we killed it so the CE can go down, but it takes a long time.

That PUG took 30+ minutes, i ended 3rd place and this means we had some significant damage dealers. The rewards for an Elite mission are very low.

Normally in Omega you get 80-100 marks for an elite with optional in addition to the 960 dilithium, but this only gives 40 NM and 480 dilithium.

Yeah, third time was the charm today...

It still took over half an hour... for 40 marks and 480 dil.

The extra 15 marks were NOT worth that fuss. We won't discuss the logic of getting MK X loot in an Elite VA event. I'm not even sure MK XII loot would be worth it, unless purple consoles were added to the loot table.

Have they by chance brought back crystal shard drops yet? If not, when they do, that might make Elite bearable again. Otherwise, I agree, this thing is ridiculously overpowered for the reward offered.

Not worth it at all. Just search the calendar for the bonus marks event and run Vault ensnared and Azure nebula over and over when it's active. Bonus marks lasts 3 hours, vault ensnared easily gives 40+ Nukera marks every 30 mins... and is braindead easy to boot!

The difficulty is alright now, PUGs might struggle or take a while depending on their setup, but any premade group that brings the right abilities will be able to take it down without too much hassle. 2 tachyon beams were enough yesterday, to keep the stacks <10.

I have to agree that the rewards are utter TRIBBLE, though, especially when you compare it to easier and faster to do Elite Space STFs. Half the marks, no tech drop, lower quality loot, half the dilithium.

70-75 marks, 960 dilithium, chance for mk XII loot and the chance to drop a shard would bring it in line.
