Defence Contract - Computer Core Fragments Not Dropping

I have run this twice on one toon and once on another (both Fed) and no core fragment drops. Has anyone else had this issue?

Also noticed that both the Galor on the far side of the tanks and the two smaller vessels on the opposite side appear at the same time... strange or working as intended?

The deuterium tanks are receiving more damage than normal.... does this stop core drops?

    The computer core fragments are for all intents and purposes considered loot (albeit limited to the Alhena system).

    I also have had this happening, but you should atleast get 2 core fragments...
    Sometimes I get 4 or even 5...

    Suck it up I would say; just do the mission and collect the dilithium you get (480); the core fragments are more or less an extra (10 of those unlocks another mission in the Donatu system).

    The Galor and the smaller vessels have always appeared at the same time as far as I know.

    The chips are Rare loot and you usually get a couple but it's still down to the random number generator whether you get any.

    They may also have ran a balance pass over it and reduced the drop rate it's hard to get on to play at the moment to find out.

    Will keep running it myself and see if this is just random bad luck or a real issue.

    Update:

    Just ran it 4 times (Fed Tac / Fed Sci / Fed Eng / Klingon Tac) and no computer core drops.

    Anyone else who runs this regularly could let us know if same is happening to you would appreciate it.

    Yeah I've ran it across 3 of my characters (2Fed/1KDF) and no Cores.

    I can believe I can get a single dud run with no cores, but three in a row? I'm thinking it's Bugged.

    Thanks DKnight. Either that; a stuck RNG or the loot tables are borked.

    Will run it again on my 4 toons and post the result(s) in a couple hours before going to work.

    Anyone else out there having our same rotten luck (or not)?

    Off to work but was able to run my Fed tac through it. Still no core drops.

    I ran this on a few characters and got zero fragments. As I've not been doing much dil grinding in favor of playing new content, I've only gone to Alhena(sp?) that one night.

    Something else strange I've noticed is my sensor scan seems nerfed as far as effective range. I'm gonna have to recheck the patch notes and see if it was reduced. I used to be able to hit targets from 10km now I need to be under 5km I think. Off to check patch notes, gl.

    Hi folks - I have run this mission nearly every day since the LoR patch and since then have received NO CORE DROPS at all - getting a bit frustrated as I only need a few more to do salvage dispute! I tried to submit a ticket but I just got the message 'could not connect, try again later' every time I tried! Grrrrrrrrr.......

    No core drops for me either. I did file a bug report on it.

    Well, I also did this mission yesterday and I had no core drops... (but this is just one time/mission...)

    In order to test this I will do it a few times... (allthough I am getting a very sneaky suspicion what is going on...)

    I've been getting none either, I thought it was a bit of bad luck at first, but 3 runs with no loot is extremely unlikely.

    Thanks everyone for your input and to Robori for submitting a ticket.

    Two runs for me today and no core drops.

    I be thinking we need to move this discussion to the Bug reports forum...

    If any of you do start a new thread there, please leave us a link here so we may continue posting our results. I have to go to work, but will start one later if no one else has time.

    Alhena is one of my normal daily stops, and i haven't been getting any CCF drops, either. i typically get at least one, sometimes as many as four, but nothing at all for several days in row now.

    I think you guys just have bad luck. I ran it earlier this morning, and I got two fragments. Course I also had it on elite, so that might have helped.
    It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

    :eek: I was thinking they removed it since no one seemed to obtain one and since 3 of my alts (kdf) obtained the "True Intentions" accolade (collect 10 CCF) at LoR launch (and they had less than 10)

    I was running it on Normal, when I get a chance I'll try it on Elite see if I can get the Fragments.

    Who knows they may have hot fixed it.

    Elite has a different loot table. That said, I tried it, once on normal, once on Elite, and the streak of getting no Computer Cores across all characters since LoR continues.

    I haven't run it on normal today, but doubt results will be any different from my past disappointments.

    I won't bother starting a thread in "bugs" just yet since Cryptic has yet to patch anything other than stability. When they do we'll see if it makes any difference. Perhaps someone has already mentioned this issue in the bugs forum.

    Anyone running the mission please continue to drop your feedback here if you like.

    Irregardless of this issue. The general space loot drop rate since LoR was released has dropped to 40% of what it was. Before LoR any space battle you did you would get at least 1 of any thing to drop...now you can go 3 battles and nothing at all.

    The drop rate of the Core it's self was bad before LoR as I would run this every day. Since I got back to STO this month, not a single one dropped. The last time I was on..I had gotten enough to run that one mission requiring these 4 times.

    I've run this every day since the LoR was launched and haven't had a single core fragment drop since then.
    Oh, it's not broken? We can soon fix that!

    I run that mission on 4 chars from and from LoR update computer cores do not drop.
    If they cut drops by 40% they should be dropped by now but still nothing.

    I wonder if they've removed the core drops (maybe missing the elite loot table), and discontinued the Salvage Dispute daily as that map is now used for a Romulan story mission?

    I already have 10 computer core fragments (acquired before LoR), and Franklin Drake is not offering me Salvage Dispute.

    been running the alhena mission as well every day with no drops of the fragments

    seems this got stealth nerfed as well . . . too much easy dil gathering :( who knows

    Given that you need ten fragments normally taking a few days, running foundry missions would get you more dil overall, so wouldn't call it easy really. Besides only ran the mission once and failed it.

    I like collecting accolades, so please put this back or fix as required. Its a nice little few missions.

    I'm still getting loot drops and Deuterium from Alhena Defense Contract like normal, but not one CCF drop since LoR launched, which is entirely abnormal.

    Hi Folks!

    After the latest patch I ran it at all 3 different difficulty levels with no core drops. Did lose a deuterium tank on advanced and elite (with science & engineer toons) so maybe this makes a difference?

    Did get a rare drop on elite but disappointingly it was only a Mk X disruptor beam bank.

    Keep dropping us a line here when you get the chance. :)
