    They are indeed ;)

Now if they can just start little edits to the FE's, I'd be overjoyed. I realize there's a plot and they can't change many details, but more Klingon wording and choices would be nice

    Was named Trek17.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

I Got mine, summoned him, got a dialog box and even before i could read a single dialog box he vanished and went on a 4 minute cooldown. Seriously lacking if you cant even summon one before you head into combat.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

I still would love to have a kit or pet Attack Targs, for klingons and the walking biting lizard for Gorns.

What kind of pets for Orions and Letheans?

I see Turtles as pets for Letheans and for Orions, well humaniods.

You can get two types of Hortas that also work on Nukara as they don't need the breathe. I have the Acid ones on my KDF characters. You can pick them up on the exchange pretty cheaply too, considering they cost 500 zen to buy from the store.

I think they work like summoning security escort, they stay as long you are in combat or about to be then despawn... they don't act like a pet and just walk next to you, I would love that though.

Combat pet handling kits for the KDF would be awesome, or if the Jackal Mastiff leveled up with you to be useful at endgame.

Wardan Gazzan's voice alone is awesome, especially when you ask him if the prison facility is secure enough to keep the newly-captured prisoner. It shows how great the Voice Actors are compared to the older things like the Fed Tutorial and that Undine posing as a Klingon Captain with his Batman Begins-styled deeper voice.

There's only one thing I can think of which is better than one Jackal Mastiff.

Two Jackal Mastiffs. :D But I'm not going to ask the Devs for this because it would be greedy. Next, one of the SpoonFeds would see me in a Ground ESTF with only two Jackal Mastiffs and a really big stick and then come straight here complaining about how the Klinks new ground combat pet is OP and 'ruining the game for everyone!!'. rofl.

Don't think that will happen because all the Feddies would freak out over the awesomness of a targ combat pet and immediately demand they get one, or nerf because it looks so OP.

the same thing happens with every single combat pet in the game. Try summoning your photonic fleet before you get into combat.

You have to have an enemy for it to aggro on or it goes away.

Any way to get this item if you did the tutorial like... 3 years ago when it was massively different?

Yeah the first group of Mission under "Empire" in you list is doable. The very starting tutorial mission when you start the game can only be done on new chars and doesn't show up on the list, but its the one where you go from 2nd officer of a Klingon Bird of Prey to its captain, but the ones after that one you can do with your old chars as well. The one where you get the Jackal is the one that takes you to Rura Penthe. To me that one is great overall from start to finish.

What I find funny is that reliable sources stated years ago that tje Devs where working on such kits and had even named the Gorn pets as "gorndogs".
I was hoping the jackal mastiff was just a teaser towards the kits appearing.

In several interviews it has been stated that they really want to revamp kits, to basically allow you to make your own kit, by say choosing 4 individual Kit Powers, so you are not stuck with powers you don't like but comes with one you do. It would work similarly to Bridge officer powers (which may get changed to the same mechanic) which are basically customizable. There was even a mention that (hopefully) at "endgame" there would be a 5th Kit power available, which would allow a power from a different class (so a science with a Plasma Grenade for example). This would also allow them to more easily add new powers (which I hope would include "Animal Handler" allowing for you to beam in some Attack Targs).

Who knows on the timeframe, first they must get Legacy of Romulus working smoothly, and I don't know if that would even be THE next big project (but it would be cool). Probably will have another "Featured Series" first, maybe more "social" zones ala Nimbus.

I can't really complain as I got to play a targ during the holidays. At least the mastiff is better looking than that Mugato, and oohhhhh my Mastiff ate about a dozen bad guys last night so I'm cool with it.

...Now if they'de only offer a reskin for this mutt.

I have no complaints. I love my jackal mastiff. I even hope a fetch emote appears one day.
I just also hope hat pet handling kits are in the works.

yup being a Klingon is p. cool
I def think my fed is just going to be relegated to grinding dil and loot for him now.

Really wish I could get pieces of the outfit from that mission though.

I would really like to be able to have my sehlat cub be able to grow up and become a combat pet. I think that would really work out well for any of the factions. What would the Roms be? One of the cats or reptiles from New Romulus?

Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    Yeah its a great mission.

    Spoiler Alert

But if you fly anything other then a B'rel the ending is funny becuase your ship morphs into a B'rel with cloak some how, same name as my Corsair tho. Still cool ending, especially if you are using a B'rel or at least a BoP.

    [SNIP] for spoilers. :)

That ending was EPIC! :D It brought back flashbacks of Star Trek V, when the Klingon B'rel appears behind Kirk and starts shooting over his head! Most epic end to a STO mission ever! :D
And nothing in the previous conversation makes you expect it, the convesration with my ship was that they need to come down to Rura Penthe because we'll need more warriors. I expected troops beaming down, but this was legendary! :)
