I saw a T'Varo class Retrofit star ship about 12 hours after the game launched. I know there gamers out there who play long hours but I find it hard to belive he's lvl 50 already. I even saw a D'Dridex class RETROFIT in sector space too! I hope I'm just imgagining all this.
youre not. a couple of my fleet members hit 50 today.
leveling up is hella fast if you use bonus and do mirror.

I'm lvl 50 and in a DD refit. It doesn't take that long if you are dedicated.
I hit sub commander in about 5 hours of game time - Got to remember that if you know what you are doing leveling is ridiculously fast (I should add, that's half way playing casually through the story, reading everything.)
I've been playing just the story missions and very infrequent dabbling in the DOff system for about 6, 7 hours total and am currently Centurion 15 or 16. Leveling isn't all that time consuming.
It depends on how you play if your in a rush to reach 50 you can do it pretty quick. I myself am in no hurry I enjoy the journey and am certainly in no hurry to get rid of my warbird
Hit 50 last night, did only story missions with the addition of two MU events to get me from 39 to 40 and the Beytan system patrol to get me to level 50.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

so if someone can do what you cant that person is a hacker?
Considering I hit 40 last night, with 17 hours played time... not using boosts, and not really rushing anything - after having to restart new characters twice because of the infinite Server Not Responding error...
after typing /played when i hit 50 on my kdf aligned romulan
1 day 6 hours, some odd minutes. so about 32 hours all told.
and that was only catching 20 minutes of a mirror event, map manager error limited my time.
it's not surprising how fast you can level, if you're experienced in the game you can blaze through missions, especially if you have resources for the best gear at rank.
multiple alts, and played on tribble to 50, that took about 2 days...first play through of the missions and all. next to dcuo, this is one of the fastest mmo's to cap i've ever played. not cheats, not hacks, just how the games set up.
oh, and no xp boosts. just grinding out missions.

You can definitely level very quickly if you try, but I want to enjoy the story! Maybe the power-levelers do too, but apparently they don't mind doing monotonus missions to level up. The only benefit to that is that when you play through the story after you hit max level you get gear rewards level-scaled to 50 the first time through. Not worth it to me, but everyone plays a bit differently
Thanks for the expansion that had "as much content as the last"
9 Episodes = 30+ episodes...?

It's pronounced "S.T.O." "Stow" sounds idiotic! lol

Took me 16 hours of play to hit level 50 - I know that because I used 2 - 8 hour skill boosts.
But I spent about 2 hours on the exchange - and another fiddling about - so 13 hrs in total play to hit lvl 50
but that was not till the second day - I had a 7 hour gap where I sleep during some of the down-time.
This Reman was my 26th STO toon - so i have some experience fast leveling. My next toon I will go through the story more slowly.
Additionally if you really really have money to burn the C-store sell 6000 skill point boosts for around 900 Zen)
LvL up so easy if u don't miss story missions, foundry grinds, patrols and especially Mirror events.U can hit lvl 50 at 2 or max 3 days if u have spend time to game.So don't worry everything are normal.
It's never been too hard to level in STO, in a way it's always been a nice aspect of the game for me, I'm a slow leveler in other games, so the pace is right up my alley.
I always found it quicker to level from 1-50 in a fed than 20-50 from a KDF.
I hit L50 on my Romulan after 15 hours in-game (week off work, woohoo!) and that was purely through story missions and patrols once I finished the new unique missions (wasn't running old featured episode series AGAIN).
I "F" key mashed my way through the first 2 story arcs as I'd already enjoyed the story on tribble. Then I took my time and read the story, and enjoyed it. I didn't even consider it power levelling!
My current record for levelling a fed from 1-50 is a little over 8 hours.
My Romulan is currently L50 with a fleet ship, fleet weapons, and has done one round of reputation projects with the others queued.
I *might* roll a Reman Science officer to specialise in ground traits and skill points (my Tac Rom is all space) over the weekend if I feel up to it.
So no, you're not imagining things, and there's no hacking at work. Just dedication

I have my first rep q'd and will be complete when I get back on 2800 points(each) - but I assume when you say "round 1" you don't mean you hit level 1 rep - i don't think that is mathimatically possible yet?
I did more or less what topset did. Took my time to fully enjoy the story and gameplay on tribble, make my decisions so I knew what to do and set up all my costumes etc. Meant I could enjoy it at my pace without anyone spoiling it, help report the hundreds of bugs and it was lag free ^.^
Then when it hit holodeck I just F mashed through the story, took up patrols of oppertunity and hit mirror event. It's also worth noting that the new romulan missions are very quick if you know what the triggers for mission progression are so you can just run through ignoring enemies =D

Hehe no I don't mean that, I mean I've currently finished the first set of 20h rep projects - and the second set are currently ticking away.
I can't remember if it's 2 or 3 sets of projects for T1, so I'll be there either tomorrow morning or Sunday
played all the romulan missions, cardies, skipped the Dominion (only the FE reward one), did Borg and the Breen. has been fun, now to the grind - the first round is already going, CE has broken queue ...
ill certainly play through the missions once more.
enjoyed the Nimbus Zone, do we know if there is something in plan to enhance the great experience?
(reminded me on AO's Tir and other locations a bit)
No, you are not seeing things. This is the fastest game to level in even for casuals like myself. I made it to Vice Admiral in the Romulan Republic in about a day and a half max. You have to realize that with the veteran skill point boost and other skill boosts that you advance an entire level from completing a single mission. So, it takes about 50 missions to end game.

Borg Alerts, Mirror Event, patrols, all that. Levelling quickly isn't hard.

Done about 24+ hours in 2 days.

Yeah.
It's not hard at all.
Even so , I should be done in 2 weeks tops .
Then I'll be left to wonder if this was worth 7 months of waiting ... to get 2-3 endgame missions .
