Just like it's true that it's impossible for devs in any game to keep up with the demand for new content.
Unless the devs make a sandbox game, like EVE. If STO had some sort of exploration system, that was pseudo-random but MUCH deeper than the current random systems thing, that might hold a lot of people...
I saw a T'Varo class Retrofit star ship about 12 hours after the game launched. I know there gamers out there who play long hours but I find it hard to belive he's lvl 50 already. I even saw a D'Dridex class RETROFIT in sector space too! I hope I'm just imgagining all this.

I have a life, I work a 40 hour week, I manage to get to L50 in 15 hours. I've been looking forward to this expansion for months, and to be able to play as a romulan since I started playing as have many of us. Thankfully I got a week off at the perfect time or I wouldn't have been able to manage it.
It's really not that uncommon for gamers to spend 15 hours playing a new game over the course of a couple of days post-release.
My mate just reached L50 and he works daily and has 3 kids, purely playing after he'd put the kids to bed. He's got no life either?
i been working on three different toons, two rr and one kdf.
1. lvl 48, thats with failboats and naff survivability. will reach 50 within the next hour or two.
2. lvl 26, still working on it, given half a chance with the mirror event later on and such, perhaps lvl 35-40 is on the cards.
3. lvl 10 - kdf. have hardly put any effort into this one just yet, passed the short storyline to lt. cmdr. i may or may not keep going at full speed on this one.
this is basically what i have been upto the past 3 days.

I can see how it would be easy to blow through the levels. Read nothing, see nothing, pew, pew, pew, move along.
I'm not going to level another character anytime soon, so I'm reading the dialogue, looking around, taking it easy. I bought the Legacy Pack, and I want to spend more than a couple of hours in each ship.

Same here. It's clear a lot of effort went into this expansion - so many tie ins to the pre existing content it's unbelievable
I have an Romulan Vice Admiral as well already ... but I pretty much read every dialogue, watched every Cutscene, played every new Romulan Episode ... well I didn't look in every corner of every new map, but it's not that hard, it only takes about ~30 hours [6-7 hours/day] ... so if you're on vacation like me ... no problem ...

Whey to cause a **** storm. Chill. Either I've hit a nerve, or some people can't take a joke with a pinch of salt.
I leveled a toon to 31, deleted it, started over. (quicker to wipe and delete than revamp everything) and have now leveled 2 more to 10 and 12 respectively.
remember each storyline mission is pretty much a guaranteed level (or very very close to one at higher levels). they take about 10-15 minutes to complete. just doing the story, you can level 3-4 times an hour.
getting to 50 is easy. its the gearing that can take time (and always does if its rep/fleet stuff)
