Get error when i try to log in

i can only assume this is wher to put this. so i put my password and username in normaly then when i tryed to start the game i got this message where it usualy says Version ST:

"Error 31: a hog returned an error while trying to read. restart in (timer counts down from 10)"

    I had the same about 14 hours ago when I tried to load Azure space map (fleet event). It's really annoying and I am not sure if I should ever re-install this game. And I say that as an LTS with legacy pack pre-ordered ... but something inside me is telling me I should forget about it and move on.

    After patching I am not able to get past the Cryptic screen. I decided to check out the Cryptic files for the first time ever. Never had to do this, and I looked for the most recent issue. It was in Hog errors I believe. I also read something online about clicking diable on demand patching and the error on the launcher went away but now I dont get past the beginning of the Cryptic screen. This is what the folder showed.

    I'm getting the same error. I was expecting queues when attempting to log in the game, but I guess I was a bit optimistic :P

    Anyway, I hope this will be fixed quickly. I reckon there are a lot of issues atm, so we'll just have to be patient and try later.

    I'm getting "Read wrong number of bytes: 13" every time I try to beam down to crateris on 3rd romulan mission. It also does something to my connection? since I can't access web or relog into game without restarting my pc. Not exactly the way I wanted to experience the new content.

    I havn't been able to log into the game for 5 days how do i fix this

    at least it feels like 5 days

    ok i can get onto the Tribble server fine but i get this error only when i try to log into holodeck

    I'm in the same boat as all of you and this kinda pisses me off. I can understand bugs at the start, hell i was here for beta. but when you email support and get an automated message wanted you to go through and do everything you've done twice before....grrr

    Deleted everything to do with STO on my computer then downloaded and re installed it now nothing works.

    so i think it may have something to do with the Romulan update because people on holodeck have it but i didn't get it so that would explain why i can go on tribble where the updates are up to date and not holodeck where i didn't get the romulan update so that may be the problem


    if so is there anywhere i can download the updates?

    i have the same problem as well, haven't been able to play game since Tuesday after update, what i get is

    always the same hog error

    deleted all file in piggs folder and it seems to be a texture file that's not working, tried deleting it but it still crashes when it downloads it again:S

    it hangs when you try to force verify at the patching screen? left it for over an hour and it didn't change its meant to only take around 10 minutes to verify patch

    I've been having problems like this as well, albeit a little different...

    Ever since about a week or so ago I haven't been able to patch my game, period. When it does try to patch (from the May 13th version to the current version), it would get a couple seconds in and then crash my entire computer. Blue screen, restart, all that. It wasn't until yesterday that I started seeing Error 31.

    I was good until today, hit engage and the game crashes. . .
