Problem with launcher

For the last week, every time I log in, after starting the game launcher, it reads the version (st.25.20130324a.23) then proceeds to start downloading a 3615kb patch. But it stops at different stages every time then just jumps to the "ready" stage.
If I play the game, it runs fine other than the "patching" message regularly in the top left of the screen. Then once I close the game, the launcher automatically reopens, says my version is ST.30.20130513a.3 then starts downloading a 5899mb patch, which again never completes and stops at a random amount, then closes with an error message that closes itself.
Can anyone help or explain what is going wrong?:confused:

    At least you get that far, i have been trying for he last 2 hours and the auto updater is not able to find the patch server.

    I've got the same issue, cryptic needs to get their s*** together to solve this.

    Glad I'm not alone. I wish I never payed for Legacy pack now. They want our money but don't want to help us when we can't enjoy the game to it's full potential. And their tech support act like they read of scripts. "try restarting your computer". What the hell will that do?? If it was a problem on my end, I would be the only user with the issue, but clearly I'm not!

    Have you guys tried any steps to try to solve this? I've reinstalled it twice, made sure it's given full permission in my firewall and even turned my firewall off and it's still doing the same thing.

    My apologies, I should of mentioned I've also tried that, the exact same thing happens. With the exception that I then end up getting a "CrypticError" icon appear on my desktop.

    5 hours I been at this... anytime I hope I can get back in game. I mean, only took me 20 min to download 15Gb of Bioshock 3 through optical fiber (Steam) ... 5 hrs and only 2gb down *sighs*
    Server not responding (1701 s)

    Updated launcher manually, (though didn't have a problem with that in the first place), Run the .exe as admin if you don't do that normally.

    got 50% of 3k KB patch and then it jumps to ready, 5k MB file upon closing the game doesn't even get past 1% before it closes....

    Is this your "pre-patching" Cryptic?

    Prepare for mass server lag, massive queues (LTS/ Gold Members will still have a huge wait).

    Ohh and probably some broken mechanics such as the traits which bugs etc... have still not been addressed on tribble.....

    Don't think I'll bother logging in on Tuesday, give your servers a break cryptic, since they're lagging out in simple PvP macthes all weekend as it is.

    I just love how excellent the customer service is with Cryptic/Perfect World. All the announcements explaining the current problems, all the helpful tech support we receive from the highly trained specialists that always do their best to help and never blame it on a problem with our computers or ISP's. But the most amazing part is how quick and efficient they are at fixing these issues, apologising for all the server down time, lagging and general horrible bug control in their games. I mean, why should we ever complain, it's not as if we pay for the game with subscriptions right? Or buy zen? Oh... Wait...
