Hell, they were selling Jem'Hadar warships at Drozanna(sp?) Station recently for Romulan Marks for crying out loud (dunno if they are still doing it, or if it was a limited time deal).
People on Drozana were selling Jem'Hadar warships in exchange for Romulan Marks?
I'm fairly sure, since marks are non-tradeable, that that was either a scam of simply not true.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
I hope it's not Hirogen, those ships just look boring as hell and have absolutely no exciting or defining feature.
I don't care much for Elachi stuff, I agree with the people who say they aren't iconic enough to attract a large crowd.
Since the Scimitar has been shot down, I'm not sure there a lot of exciting canon ships left. I'd like to see a Breen Rezreth some day, though that's not canon either I think? At least it's a cool design, but they have been hesitent to bring us dreadnought style ships. Most cool designs we can't fly yet are dreadnoughts... Tethys (Undine), Tarantula, Scimitar, Oriion Warbarge and the aforementioned Rezreth.
Undine is still an obviously good choice for an overall lockbox theme, but right now with LoR it's just not fitting style-wise, so they'll sit on it until they have a Featured Episode series or something to go along with it.
Hmm...I don't care about their ships but I wouldn't mind obtaining a nice yellow Undine Plasma torp!
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
And yet the same could be said of the Jem'Hadar - indoctrinated from "birth" into believing that obedience to the Founders was their purpose. And yet it's canonically recognised that there have been rogue Jem'Hadar. Technically on more than one occasion. And the fact that you can already get a Jem'Hadar bridge officer.
Furthermore, the Hirogen are similar. True, the idea of "the hunt" in indeed present in most Hirogen as the driving force, but as evidenced in some episodes of Voyager, some Hirogen either view the Hunt differently to the majority of Hirogen, or simply aren't interested in it. See Karr and Donik for respective examples of this. An argument could also be made for the Hirogen that appears in Tsunkatse, but that one is debatable.
Remember - we've got a Romulan Republic now. Anything's possible.
a genetic defection during the cloning process of a vorta or jem'hadar that skews their thinking can ultimately self-destruct without a purpose they were designed for. and sto being what it is you get a jem'hadar BoFF, i cant explain cryptics thinking on that one and you will have to ask them. but a jem'hadar would never ally himself with an enemy, all his genetic coding is telling him to kill his "ally" as an enemy to the dominion. but temporary alliances have been known to happen... to a point.
please remember that the only reason donik turned on his own is because he is an engineer and a failed hunter. since he has little use for the hunting he could think for himself and the chances of finding another such hirogen is very, very small indeed. he didnt like the killing, all he cared about was doing the right thing, the complete opposite of what a hirogen is.
karr on the otherhand was trying to save his people, he managed to break the conditioning but only to a point, he wasnt all the way out of the hunting mentality and he was loyal to the hirogen right to the end, he would of never turned his back on his people or the traditions which is the whole reason for the capture of voyager.
as for the hunter that was kept in confinement, what use is there for a hunter who can not do what he was meant to, besides who said hunting an enemy involved a weapon, sometimes the real hunt is within or studying the prey to learn a weakness for when the escape does happen. he was freed by voyager and sent on his way, despite the thinking of confinement it is likely he probably went back to hunting for the sake of his son and himself.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
me personaly...Im hoping for a battlestar...you know a real carrier with some 360 punch capabiltities to it. complete with nukes an ftl console, and a cyclon virus ad blocker....
I'm going to say a Tal Shiar lock box. Elachii escort as the "win", and the Elachi dreadnaught as the lobi store ship. Booby Prizes, I'm going to say are a D'Deridex and Mogai mirrorships (though I can see a D'lan and th Mogai), and limited time Romulan/Reman Duty Officers as the Duty Officer packages. Other Lobi Store items will be some kind of rather skimpy outfit from Nimbus, and possibly like someone else said, the electric sword.
Ha'nom, Ha'apax, and Ha'feh are getting added to the Temporal, Dominion, and Tholian drop lists, so that the Romulans will have a ship to pick up when they open them. Or, at least, that's what the notes from Tribble indicate.
and here I am with all these stacks of ferengi box's sitting in the bank......
How about a main prize with better odds than a .4% chance of getting it but a 21% of getting the common stuff (which is useless). Make them actually worth spending the money to get the keys to unlock them. As they are all now, not worth the cost when you see the odds.
The Tal Shiar lockbox is already in the tribble client code, plus the fact we have LoR's release in less than a week, I would assume that's our next lock box.
Plus I know people have said no to this one before, but I can see it happening... The Scimitar.
I can totally see it, I don't want to though, because this would be the ship I would want, and I don't do the whole lockbox thing.
I would wager just about anything that the next lockbox ship will be the Scimitar. I've had this suspicion for quite a while now. I honestly can't see it being anything else.
The big prize will be a Hybrid Borg/Romulan Warbird as seen in one of the Fed episodes and the one Hakeev is flying, since they already got a practically fully realized interior for that as well.
My bet is on Elachii based ships... would make sense: The Republic were able to capture some of these and adapted/let them being flown by some of their captains. They say niet to anything directly related to romulan ship designs... like some said, Scimitar is likely to be a 3 ship pack like odyssey or bortas.
Well, as has been mentioned by others, Tal Shiar lockbox is in the code... but I think my guess is going towards the Breen. I find it rather suspicious that the Breen set finally got a new texture for its shield after all this time - and without a single bit of fanfare or mention in patch notes.
I would rather the Odyssey/Bortasq equivalent be an original design. I don't think the Scimitar should be in the lock box but, I could see it happening. Elachi or Hirogen ships would be my guess though.
Some useless lockbox that negatively impacts the game in the long term that various people with more money than sense will buy into and cry cause they've spent around $100 and all they got were mini-doff packs.
With the singularity mechanic around, I have a funny feeling that, whatever the ship is, its special feature will be a warp core with M/AM power levels and access to singularity powers. Of course, this would be a no-brainer on a borgified warbird, or they could call it a thalaron core and leave it at that.
Any chance of getting a section 31 box? like future secret agent gear
for example
Federation
section 31 doffs
section 31 weapons ( transphasic or small)
a new section 31 uniform or enviromental suit
section 31 ships with cloaks or like the one in star trek into darkness
for klingons maybe their own secret agents
For romulans the tal shiar gear
just a suggestion im guessing next lock box is either
borg or Udine but it would be nice to have a section 31 box

I didn't know that......most intriguing.
I actually have my fingers crossed for a Breen box......and the ability of the breen set to synergise with my chell Grett.
Well, all we know for sure is that the Mirror Haapax Warbirds will be in the next lockbox, whatever those lockboxes turn out to be. Romulan? Elachi? Borg? Caeliar? TNG? Who knows?

My guess is... a Tal Shiar Lockbox with the Scimitar as main prize.. many people want that ship badly and would go to much length to obtain one - and I don't expect it to be the 5000-ZEN-Flagship (Bortasqu'/Odyssey), because Cryptic will most certainly use their own design for that one.

So what do people think the next one will be and when will it release; the same time as LoR?
I wonder if it will be a Romulan Lock Box.
Romulan lockbox has been confirmed for ages. All that we're waiting for is when it'll be released, and if it will be the next one or not.
My guess would be yes, and with LoR. Maybe a week or two later
Kirk's Protege.
for example
Federation
section 31 doffs
section 31 weapons ( transphasic or small)
