Any guesses as to what the next lockbox will be? Any hints from the devs?

Heh, just buy the Recluse and put the borg set on it., the ridiculously large deflector makes it look like the Nerada.
Im more than a little afraid it will be a Romulan/Reman lockbox, with the devs repeatidly stating that romulan ships can still be in lockboxes.
Im also hoping for a cruiser for my new character.
That one's already been shot down by the Devs. The Scimitar is very likely going to be a C-Store three pack.
Word is it's the Tal Shiar lockbox - so my money is on Hirogen or Elachi ship as top prize, Mirror Ha'apex, Ha'Nom and Ha'Fex as booby prizes.
To be honest, I hope i'm wrong on the Hirogen. I still think there's scope for them to be written into the Romulan Republic story as potential allies - bearing in mind that, as evidenced by the TV show, not all Hirogen are the hunters we know and love.
I think an Elachi ship is the most likely. Hirogen ships are currently quite boring.
i can say for sure that there is not much scope for the hirogen. as for potential defectors in the ranks, it is a very slim chance of this happening, its been engrained into them since birth and it's all they ever known, which is to hunt for their prey.

Considering you've got Jem'hadar (who are genetically programmed to be what they are, as opposed to just societally indoctrinated) joining Starfleet, a Hirogen inclusion arc isn't outside the realm of possibility.
As for which ships, I'm betting the escort due to SPOILERS, beta players will know what I mean. And I'd bet that would be the grand prize. Lobi store, maybe the big command double decker ship from the Elachi line. Carriers seem to go into the Lobi store, and that's a carrier in the missions. Even has its own frigate sized pets.
I agree we're not getting Hirogen ships until they make some more unique ships, last I saw, they are still using the generic ships.

Given that just about everything got a retexture, it's not quite the smoking gun that a retexture usually is.
I give the same amount of chance to the Hirogen one.
About the Elachi, I'm not so sure it seems a bit premature to have their ships before we can even experience them as NPC enemies in the game on Holodeck properly.
And I sincerely hope that it's not a Scimitar one, giving the biggest and most badass Romulan ship to everyone makes absolutely no sense and I sincerely hope the devs. are smart enough to not do this. We all know what the Scimitar should be - the Republic's own 3-pack answer to the Odyssey and Bortasqu'.
Yes, and it's going to come with the special "Genesis Device" AoE console. Perfect for taking out packs of spheres and probes!
And yet the same could be said of the Jem'Hadar - indoctrinated from "birth" into believing that obedience to the Founders was their purpose. And yet it's canonically recognised that there have been rogue Jem'Hadar. Technically on more than one occasion. And the fact that you can already get a Jem'Hadar bridge officer.
Furthermore, the Hirogen are similar. True, the idea of "the hunt" in indeed present in most Hirogen as the driving force, but as evidenced in some episodes of Voyager, some Hirogen either view the Hunt differently to the majority of Hirogen, or simply aren't interested in it. See Karr and Donik for respective examples of this. An argument could also be made for the Hirogen that appears in Tsunkatse, but that one is debatable.
Remember - we've got a Romulan Republic now. Anything's possible.

Because the HEC is sub-par and the Wells is the best science ship in the game.
I see plenty of Dreadnoughts and a few HECs in STFs.

I've grown to thoroughly enjoy flying my Chell Grett, now if they'd only give us a bonus to installing the actual Breen space set in it I'd be content.
Perhaps some synergy between the Chell Grett console and the space set.

ships made up by cryptic / never on TV -> less interesting than Canon Ships [i kill for anything that was on TV, generic cryptic NPC ships *shrug*]
the species was actually only in one episode -> not very well known
barely anyone knows them yet (only the Tribble testers) from LoR -> too early to sell
at the moment i only want that D'Deridex + Mogai, what do i care about some NPC Ships? -> too soon after LoR release
can't play an Elachi as Captain (same thing with Tholians, not even the Alien creator is sufficient enough to make a fake look-a-like for this) -> less interesting to roleplayers who want their Captain to fit their Ships #Monsterplay
only thing that speaks for it: Cryptic already made these ships and probably wants to cash in on them.
I'd vote for the Narada look-alike Ship that was spotted on Tribble, that would at least be a little homage to the 2009 Movie and i could also see FED and KDF players wanting this Ship. In particular with the Hype around Into Darkness at the moment this would surely sell like candy... and heck even i would want one.
Although i am not sure how Cryptic got that Ship past CBS, that is really borderlining it.
Real Romulan Ships would instantly devalue the Romulan faction if FED+KDF players could just grab Warbirds that way, next thing you know is Fed get KDF Ships and KDF get Fed Ships... once you open that door you can't close it anymore. #RealBadIdea
If they want to do routine "limited time" drops of past/current boxes, I have no issue with it.
Why buy keys with my limited gaming funds, when I can get the items I'm interested in on the Exchange? Hell, they were selling Jem'Hadar warships at Drozanna(sp?) Station recently for Romulan Marks for crying out loud (dunno if they are still doing it, or if it was a limited time deal).
I'd rather spend my Zen on new ships and gear. That's just me though.
Instead of more lock box drops, I'd rather see more variation in dropped loot. Throw in an occasional Very Rare item to sweeten the pot. That would make more sense, from a player's (me) point of view than an item that will be ignored by many players once the novelty and newness wears off.
Just my opinion. Others will differ.
I wouldn't mind, would be kinda cool to perhaps get a Sarr Theln.
I don't care much for Elachi stuff, I agree with the people who say they aren't iconic enough to attract a large crowd.
Since the Scimitar has been shot down, I'm not sure there a lot of exciting canon ships left. I'd like to see a Breen Rezreth some day, though that's not canon either I think? At least it's a cool design, but they have been hesitent to bring us dreadnought style ships. Most cool designs we can't fly yet are dreadnoughts... Tethys (Undine), Tarantula, Scimitar, Oriion Warbarge and the aforementioned Rezreth.
Undine is still an obviously good choice for an overall lockbox theme, but right now with LoR it's just not fitting style-wise, so they'll sit on it until they have a Featured Episode series or something to go along with it.
