The next time there's a maintenance, can it PLEASE not be right when everyone in the UK is coming home from work, or school? -_-

Midnight UK time is 7 PM Eeastern Coast or 4 PM Pacific Coast.

There is no good time to do a 3hour maintenance

Can't be that much of an emergency when, unlike the other times, they give an advance warning.

    This is Cryptic.
    Need I say more?
They have not fixed the problem with Neverworking game....
and they are going to release the expansion for STO.

and they take down services for emergency maintanence....
who here thinks this will not spell disaster at launch date for Legacy?

I expect that this unexpected maintenance has to do with the disconnects that have been taking place over all of their games. I don't believe this has anything to do with legacy. This doesn't mean they wont be taking the chance to prepare for legacy and strengthen when already exist before the release date.

Well, I'm usually the one to be understanding about such issues and not ***** about it when this kind of malfunctions occur, but lately this is getting ridiculous.

I'm not saying this to bash anyone, I'm saying this as a person who loves and supports this game - I'm afraid that if these issues go on much longer and are not completely resolved with new gear before LoR many people could become fed up and leave. And I wouldn't want that to happen to STO.

Devs. please amp up your hardware asap, cause if this is happening now I can only
imagine what would happen when LoR launches and it won't be pretty nor good for STO.

Three hour maintenance starting at 5pm in the UK... *sigh*.

This is getting to be a bit much on top of the previous couple of unscheduled downtimes. At least this one is expectedly unexpected.

At this rate, it'll be a laugh when LoR hits.

Well, I'm going to burst some bubbles here. For all you people crying about the servers going down: Get over yourselves! You guys complain about what's going on for the past few days, when SWG was up, this was normal ... servers going down, needing fixed. If they need to fix something, let them do it now. Yeah it's bad timing but here something you need to know as well: Life isn't fair. This isn't Buger King, you don't get it your way. If you don't like what's going on then quit the game.

this is emergency maintenance.. Usually it happens earlier and it's not often it happens this late lest there's something that prompts them to do so. Like preventing another round of network failures.

During yesterdays crash, we were told, that theyd do the maintenance while the servers were down anyway ....

did anyone oversleep or get drunk ? or was a silly excuse thrown up to make a sad and poor attempt at covering up ?

The amount of maint going on, crashes, lag and whatnot, makes me secondguess if i am actually GETTING what im paying for ??? so far, its a resounding "NOT" ...

Man up, fix ur hardware and keep people around. and STOP LYING / HIDING !

They had to let the Hamster out for a little while...

There's a new series to Top Gear to film...
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

Epic. Perhaps "Cryptic" should be a new word for incompetence.

I predict a server crash 24 hours from now. It happens every time they do "server stability improvements and fixes".

    OR ...

    Maybe ...

All this maintenance will make the launch go *smoother* because whatever is happening is getting fixed.

It's better a server fails now instead of at or shortly after launch.

What an optimist. I'd like the to think this, but unfortunately, experience has showed me otherwise.

The complaints you guys are making are simply idiotic...

Would you rather this stuff happen nor or when LOR launches?

    (waits for reply)

Yeah... that's what I thought, so chill out people

I expect us to have these issues when LOR launches. That's pretty much a given. For a big patch or expansion in the game I'm playing, I expect lag, timeouts or even server crashes, I don't expect it when the company launches a separate game.

So I'd rather have this stuff happen when LOR launches, rather than now because some other game I don't even play launched.

Let this be a lesson, folks. Don't buy servers at the flea market from the guy that sells Russian Bloc technology microwave ovens. You know the ones .....

They may actually be more stable than the ones Cryptics seems to have at the moment. Can you point them in the right direction ;)

Yes Bran we know todays maintanance took place last time the servers went down. However saing that there would be no maintainence was plain daft it would have just been safer to say nothing then it couldn't have been used as it has been.

Launch of STO = Failed. baad servers, bad 3-4 hour ques.
Launch of beta NW= Failed. servers again, bad ques again.
    Launch of Legacy = ?

Given the amount of ****ups with the seasons, due to server problems and lags etc.... every season there has been bad bad servers....

what makes someone think that the launch of the expansion is going to be anything else than a total disaster? given that NW is not even working and they have to bring down servers every day it seems...

explain to me how they are NOT going to fail
