Game Launcher doesn't works yet

Cryptic Game Launcher has Stopped Working

Windows: there is a problem that prevents the proper functioning of the program. if the solutions become available probramma will be closed and will be automatically notified.

    yup another topic was closed saying issue resolved and thus far it still doesnt load for me still getting same launcher cant launch error and windows closes it. running as admin running with firewall off everything.

    I have also tried to re-install the game: nothing.
    sorry admins, the problem is not solved.

    Is it a computer problem?
    Should I format it?

    I can only say this: 2 days ago, the launcher worked well.

    So i turned this on my desktop been trying to use my laptop launcher is updating but it isnt working on laptop trying a reinstall to see if it works if the game loads on desktop

    Since they reworked the launcher today, try replacing your current launcher with the file from the first post here:

    Rename your original launcher first, in case you need to revert back to it later.
    It fixed my launcher problem once.

    Do what the guy above says somehow the exe file originally got corrupted i believe when you change the name of the original and dl the new link it works fine for me. On 2 pcs.

    I'm attempting to reinstall but then I get an error message saying "no internet connectivity detected" which doesn't make any sense since I'm obviously on the internet right now and nothing else is having any problems...

    Settings and running as admin haven't done anything, neither has disconnecting and reconnecting the internet.

    Take heart that it is never us. Think about it; We are playing the game just fine. They take the server down for a few hours, then we can no longer play.

    (ultra sarcasm mode activated) Surely sounds like the problem is on our end (ultra sarcasm mode overloads)

    I don't know why they insist on breaking the game like this everytime. Has to be on purpose, something this crippling would have been seen to early on if it were an accident.

    Yeah, when many many players have the same issue it's probably not us. Tech support will tell you the script of 'check x and y' to keep you busy while they try to fix their end.

    I got kicked off about 9:20pm EST, and cannot reconnect. My internet seems to be working fine, I have the latest launcher, but I cannot even get to any of Cryptic's websites. Is there something I can do (like maybe roll back to a previous version), or is this on their end?

    That's actually exactly when I was kicked out.

    This is definitely a problem on their end. I've checked with my friends who play this game and they say they can't get in either.

    Same here. Can only get on the website from the stoperfectworld address not startrekonline.com. The site says the server is up but the launcher wont launch...

    I've gone through the set up again, I even installed it on Steam. It still doesn't work. Whenever I click the icon or the play option on Steam, "Cryptic Game Launcher has stopped working" - there's no lag issue or patching issue the launcher is broke.

    Is anyone still having this issue? I notice that it's been a few days since the last post but I'm still having this problem and it's driving me crazy!

    I realised my problem was being caused by internet explorer, I uninstalled the IE10 update and now STO works again for me.

    Hmmm.... I knew the launcher used an IE window but I didn't think it was that interconnected. I wonder if the latest version of FF killed my game, updated about 30 days ago and game died about the same time. I gave up trying to fix it as nothing has worked.
