Yes sir, yes sir, it does. Missed out on 200k dilithium. But it's my own fault, I thought the event would go through the end of the day. Didn't read the whole message. Reading is fundamental!!!!!!!!!! LOL!
why does ****ty never winter have an effect on this game?????
Even if they are on their own server, they would still be on the same network. if a switch went bad, traffic is getting no where. Imagine entering a 5 way intersection and all the stop lights are red.

It's probably running on the same server blade cluster....just my guess....or maybe using the same ISP and not enough bandwidth.....but with what Bran said about hardware dying...i presume the former

Straight Up! They told me it was my computer ! ( which I guess is the standard answer from them now)
I knew it was BS. My fleet has ppl from South America, UK, Australia and US. Each had abnormal lag. What are the odds of the same thing effected 4 continents NOT being centralized?
Just a thought. Whenever World of Tanks takes down their servers even for maintenance they give gold members 1 more day worth of gold service. Maybe a days worth of dil for STO. Maybe?
Cheers from Antonio Valerio Cortez III, Half-Celestial Archduke of the Free Marches Confederacy.
Clearly all Cryptics games share at least some hardware.
The last few days, following the launch of the NWN beta, we have been experiencing varying degress of problems in STO, culminating in todays catastrophic collapse.
Now, I'm not tech wizard, but even I could predict that there'd be a huge surge in players when NWN launched and it doesn't take a techie to know that such a thing would stress out the hardware.
So, i have some questions which I'd respectfully like Branflakes to ask of the technical team and post their replies here.
Will there be dedicated hardware in place for the launch of both LoR and NWN when it goes fully live?
Do cryptic accept that, without hardware dedicated to specific games, the sort of problem we've experienced today is inevitable if games are succesful and attract players?
Does cryptic recognise that the launch of LoR is likely to attract a huge number of people on launch day, making the numbers that tried to log in the day the anniversary event went live pale into insignificence?
Are they planning to radically expand server hardware capability, or are they hoping to sort it out with a software band-aid? Or, worse, are they just counting on our desire to play the new expansion to make us overlook the technical neglect?
if you was a girl i'd marry you right NOW!! words of wisdom every single word on this...maybe they shood hang out with Bethesda and see how Mega Servers work ehh!!

You're coming dangerously close to learning the truth. Be on the lookout for Hugo Weaving.

At least Emergency Power to BS wasn't nerfed in the recent patches...
We have found it: General Server Stability. We are strong now...
I was actually in the beta of that. Even won a poster signed by the devs...
agreed 1000 z or so would be nice

Unless we kill Cryptic's hamster again.
Yes thats the way to get neverwinter back up faster!
The hardware failure was obviously on your end.
0+10%(of 0) is still 0
So you're both right, yes?

Sure there is, but if they hit it the world suddenly goes back to 2010.
