You know what is going to happen now that you said that. We are going to have a new c-store item for the STO players as a perk for playing never winter it will require you to have an android that goes nucking futz while you sit in your new product where you eat the various food from your replicator as the people of neverwinter go nucking futz trying to kill your android.
If theres a server called Redshirt, one called Tribble, and one called Holodeck, that implies 3 different servers. That should further imply that all other PWE MMO's are all on their own servers so exactly WTF piece of hardware blew up that caused every game to crash????????? Your router??????? I can not see anything extensively hard to fix, hardware wise, that would cause everything to crash UNLESS your running multiple MMO's on the same server and that is not logical.
Severs can be in a "cluster" basically many PC's acting like one....and they could have all games running on the same cluster set....a recipe for trouble if you ask me...but then again....there is no telling how much computer capacity they actually have without them telling us....sigh

As for all the servers going down at the same time, I assume Redshirts, Tribble and Holodeck are all virtual servers being run off the same equiment, anyone know if this is really the case?
I have one character that needed one shard to complete the bonus mission. Last night I couldn't get a connection and the lag was terrible. This morning I plan to log in before the event ends, and the server is down. It'd sure be nice to understand how we won't lose our progress but we can't queue up for the event anywhere. Am I stuck at 13/14 forever?
Forever? No, i'm sure they will bring the event back in some form or another, probably sans the dil rewards, half the fleet marks given, and needing half a mil of consumables to start the project :P
Is STO the only online game that I know of that doesn't post important information on the launcher? Who in their right mind would run a Beta game on another games Network?
Ah well what ever...
And please do update the launcher so you can post important information links such as this there in the future. Not just a "Red Dot"..
