I didnt blame bootcamp for pvp being what it is i said it was a fail at trying to save it. Maybe from an RP perspective of people being teachers and having studen lol its a great success but i dont RP. The fact is the queues are still dead and pugs still play like pugs.
The only thing i see is alot of time and resources being spent on merging RP with PVP. When cryptic should be using those resources to fix the game not trying to get more people to play a broke one.
Its like trying to sell a house you have an open house with garbage all over it everything is broken 400 people show up and you expect the bids on the house to come rolling in lol. Thats not how it works first clean the house fix the broken sink then invite the 400 customers to check it out.
Thanks for your post, timejumpers. I am sorry to hear that you didn't have a positive experience with Boot Camp. I just want to address a few things in your post:

4) RP was actually never part of the Boot Camp project. At the heart of Boot Camp is a genuine concern to teach people about the joys of team play and the excitement of a match well fought.
5) Almost every Saturday, I have the privilege of meeting new people in Boot Camp's open PvP session. I see them fail, learn, and succeed. These teaching opportunies are what Boot Camp was made to facilitate.
If you want to chat about your negative experiences with Boot Camp, let's set up a time to talk on TS. Also, I want to welcome you to que up with my fleet, TRH, at any point. You can jump on a team with us and see just how fun it can be to do team pvp. I am sure that many other fleets would be willing to do the same.
LoL! If you hate me for no reason fine in that regard. If you do in general either talk to me or open a new post with whatever you like under the rules of PWE.

My happen it was small tournament 6 fleets. I could not compare to the magnitude pascalb1 tournament was going to be, back by Cryptic. If it went will PVP would been in the spotlight. Something I was hoping for. but it did not. Am I upset about it yes. I love pvp been doing pvp from day one. when pvp arena had 30 to 40 players in que. Look at it now.
I wouldn't mind joining in the fun i'm not really coaching material but i would not want to miss the chance to learn some neat stuff and get some good fights that don't deal with broken mechanics ;-)
If your friends play against you and win , delete them and add them to the ignore list, wait 6 months re add like nothing has ever happend and repeat .
I think you forgot something to add Kinetic. We used to be one of the top pvp fleets in the past CdG and now we need cheese to win ( only a few of their members ). I ignore people who use cheese and do other certain things I know.

I do believe you use ss yourself from what I came across the other night ,, and no I don't use Bo3 ,, I use Bo2 ,, I also like to change my weapons out depending what type if shield I'm hitting
Still this is no excuse ,, from what I saw was us targeting yourself as we are aware off your healing skills , so with u out the game your team was easy to take out,, you should of took it as a compliment , not just remove us and put us on ignore ,,
You even sent Tex a tell the other day but he could not reply , why u have him on ignore is behond me as he's such a nice guy.
I don't use Scramble or anything like that. I run PSW + TBR + TB

I didn't have him on ignore before we fought eachother in that cheese battle. I am realy upset that people use pay2win consoles. Of course on one hand its good for PWE on the other we I repeat we decide how much fun we have in PvP. Meaning if everyone runs cheese the game becomes boring in my opinion. There is no skill in using AMS or Power Siphon. So if you support PvP getting worse I ignore you that is very simple for me mate. I want fun not 99% bs all the time. This will ruin PvP.
Like I said you guys have some excellent players why need to run cheese. Your good enough without it.

Because it's there. You know what makes PvP less fun? People whining and complaining about people playing the game the wrong way. If a console fits the build I'm trying to run, and I can get it, I use it, and I'm not going to consult the List of Things Eryon Doesn't Like to get permission first.
3 million ec grav pulse console = pay to win
30 million ec mk12 phaser relay = totally legitimate, not pay to win at all

FYI. there are more abilities in the game than rapid fire, high yield, beam overload and attack pattern omega.
If you want cannon escort (boring) fights go play starfox.
If its in the game, its in the game. provided of course its not broken, i.e. voldemort,
tac escorts are the only 'acceptable' way to pvp in the game, 'n all you really are doing is QQing about builds that don't cater to your shield tanking escort build.
Tactical captains flying escorts is akin to the fighter class in ddo or lotro,
They're simple. Best for beginners learning the game.
Not trying to bash but it is what it is.
what you call 'cheese' is just as viable as your two copies of apo or crf.
get over it.

Excessive use of certain things (whole team using), then yea can be or is very OP.
Competition rules = limits number of players and player types / ships using said "cheese"
If a team uses said "cheese" against you, rise above it, learn from it and move on. Its in the game its here to stay.
