Lately I've been pardon the pun Stoked about the Romulan Faction. I've done the research into their culture via Memory Alpha and Beta. I also learned how the writers and producers made the Romulans into who they are a fan favorite that i wanted to play from the beginning of Star Trek Online. After watching classic Star Trek shows like Unification (TNG) and other classic Romulan canon, and ill even throw in Remans
This is my list
Ships:
- Romulan Science vessel (TNG), its small, fast and light. Perfect for a dissident Romulan Rebel and reminds me of the Falcon in Wars.
- Romulan D7, It has been fan fav since the day it aried on TOS, with the Bird logo on the bottom and make it Rommie like. Which is featured in the TOS Remasted episode "Enterprsie Incident" With Romulan Uniforms please, i love those helmets.
- Possible Schimatar and Reman interior options
Appearance (uniforms, and species stuff)
- In terms of the Romulan look, its okay and all but i would like my Rommie to look like TOS which means have the option to get rid of the brow which by the way was missing in the 2009 film
Uniforms:
Nemesis Uniforms: Donatra's and other Commander uniforms look so sick their pattern is similar to modern day US Marine uniforms (color), that would be so cool.
TNG: Grey Uniform with the Y harness and have the Tal Shiar option of adding a second band on the left like Major Rakal in TNG "Face the Enemy".
Senator Uniforms or Government like the brown uniform worn by the Chairman of the Tal Shiar in DS9.
Reman shocktrooper uniform and Reman Doctor from Nemesis.
Add a full cape too like the Klingons
* a side note please do not make all the uniform options be like their from Star Wars or Galactica as smugglers...kind of takes away from the whole Romulan thing.
Ground Weapons:
With a third faction coming down the pike, a Romulan has to wonder, where are the all the Romulan guns, all disruptors in game are very Klingon like. If we have a Romulan faction please make the guns look like they do in the shows or for that matter the game, the rifle you made was killer. Keep Standard guns, Romulan. Some ideas:
Incorporate the Romulan Disruptor from TNG "Unification" the two handled rifle that looks like the pistol's big brother. The HD rifle would be suitable.
The TOS Klingon pistol would also be cool since in the "Enterprise Incident" they wore them on the opposite side of the Federation officers so like the Terran symbol in game can you make that happen?
For the Compression pistols, snipers, and full autos or any bolt weapon. Make the Reman guns from Nemesis that fire the blue bolt with the electric sound.
Plus make some Romulan guns fire blue beams like in the shows (TNG Unification) and call them Type 3 Disruptors (ST Generations)
Space items and abilities:
Retrofit Disruptors and plasma: Red Plasma torps from TOS "Balance of Terror", and the Red D7 beams from DS9 "Way of the Warrior."
Quadrant cloaking ability like the Schimatar, plus have the ability to obtain phase cloaking like the Romulans developed and the USS Pegasus copied in TNG.
Add the electric sound of the Romulan disruptors too instead of the short burst like the Klingons.

I only have 3 wishes at this point:
1. The option for a Romulan fleet with a Romulan Starbase.
2. Romulan specific Doff missions.
3. Green colored photon/quantum torpedo's like we see the warbirds use in the shows.
Aid in leading the Romulan Star Empire back to its former greatness.
Join the Romulan Praetorian Guard and teach those epohh loving hippies what it means to be a true Romulan!

Also we need mirror universe everything and a temporal science vessel and temporal destroyer.

- republic romulan scentric special task force armor (ground and space)

1.1 Romulan fleets can REDESIGN their SB if more than 50% of their population is Romulan or at wish

Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
And the bigger one from the D7 in "The Enterprise Incident"
Plus, the TNG disruptor rifle...

- /crossfaction teaming : the alliance being handled as an alliance, not as a faction change
-> let us Romulans TEAM together, i don't care how you do it, just do it, NOW before the initial rush to play the new missions happens. There will never again be so many players wanting to play these at the same time.
open crossfaction teaming would also be helpful for FED + KDF in Borg Red Alerts / Defera / Nukara Zones ... / Eppoh Tagging.
- true Romulan DOffing
- Romulan vs. KDF. vs. FED PvP... all 3 factions in one map! (stop the cheap excuses, get cracking!)
- Romulan Foundry (i do NOT want to play FED / KDF designed foundry missions with a Romulan Character, i'm sure Foundry Authors are itching to make Romulan styled missions (this can wait to some bigger Foundry Update, just make sure that it is doable in the future and don't mess up the teaming thing).
- optional Romulan Fleetbase, i'm sure many want to stick around in their FED/KDF Tier 5 Starbases, but the option to create a True romulan Fleet with Romulan items should be added later on, this should ignore the FED/KDF alliance thing. ...yes can be added LATER, no rush here.
If all or most of this happens within the next 4 Seasons then i'm fine with it, just don't take another 3 - 4 Years to bring the faction up to where it should be, like with the KDF.
Art Assets / Inspiration for the future:
Remans Ships! (obviously can't use these, no licenses etc. but they are made up by fans mostly, Cryptic can come up with their own stuff, just don't slap that purple-ish texture on the Warbirds and be done with it, Remans NEED their own Ships!)

i like the idea that most went with, Remans are kind of Vampires... so they get Batman / Bat styled Ships... smaller but in the art style of the Scimitar.

1/6 of your dreams will come true! However, who's to say you can't be Tal Shiar or in the Star Empire? That's what the foundry is for!!

To be honest I think that's kind of a cop-out. I shouldn't have to make my own adventures to supplement the poor design decisions of Cryptic.
Could you imagine if the people asking for KDF tutorial missions were told to make their own in the foundry?
2. Giving the D'Deridex a universal Commander slot to represent how they have been used for many different purposes in the Empire, even if it's just the Tier 5 D'Deridex. This would also go well with the Galaxy class since it is an exploration class cruiser and used in a variety of theaters.
That's really all that's off the top of my head....if I think of others I will note them but those are the two I really want.
Edit: OH, OH, OH!!!!! Unlocking the Orion female outfits for all females on the Kdf side.
I assume you aren't one of the beta testers, so you should probably save your judgment until you play through the Romulan story. I wasn't too fond of the idea at first myself, but after giving it some thought and hearing the reasons behind it, it really does fit best for this game. I think you'll like the story.
And trust me, you won't have to make your own adventures. I guarantee there'll be loads of Tal Shiar foundry content to play to your hearts content!
