Many of us on the team keep trying to come up with creative ways to kill the players, but we keep getting shut down. I'd love if the singularity pit stayed open, and just insta-gibbed you. But It's a no go from the top.
Help us kill you, tell Stahl & Goatshark you want us to!
I tried to get the same thing on New Romulus when you jumped off the tall bridge over river pig. (And the cliffs into the ocean). The world is not safe. We should not be training future generations to think they can fly. . .
:::sigh:::
Like falling off the forcefield bridges in Facility 4028! I think it would be very cool to have a genuine hazard trap. Engine rooms are dangerous places, right? And there are zero consequences to death.

You have my vote, you could even throw in achievements for finding the silly death locations. Pass this along to Stahl. "Oh come on man, if you don't I'll keep bugging you :P"
Woah. I already accepted that the Rom Ships might not come with any interior besides a very, very basic bridge. Much less with a high quality interior. Thank you Cryptic!

This so reminds me of the old Space Quest game, where there was so many stupid, yet funny, ways to die.
Listen, if you can't figure out for yourself, not to jump into the giant glowing, spinning blender of death. . . that's your problem.
Come on now, Bran, where's your spirit of exploration? Go boldly, where no one has gone before! You think that's the Enterprise crashing into the San Francisco bay in the new trailer? Naw. That's Operation Seaquest. Someone found a new mollusc down there that needs to be brought into the Federation. And Spock goes sightseeing in a volcano. All perfectly normal. Now if you'll excuse me...
I see a sphere of red matter over there I haven't pressed my tongue up against yet.
I have a question: on the main deck, in the middle of the map, there is an enclosed room with barred windows all around it, with a chair to sit in next to some control consoles and some huge pipes coming out of the bulkhead. It doesn't seem to correlate to any other space in the other ship interiors. What is this space intended for?
Identified spaces:
Bridge
Ready Room
Lounge/Mess Hall
someone said this seems to be laid out like a redress of the ENT-D's 10-Forward... could this be getting some geometry ready for a TNG pack?
Captain's Quarters
Sickbay
this sickbay reminds me a lot of Dr. Phlox's sickbay on the NX-01... could we get a "Enterprise" ship interior set?
Engineering
Engineering/Science "Lab"
Transporter Room
Now, KDF interiors also have a Brig (which seems absent in Fed interiors... and don't say that it's not canon for Fed ships to have brigs), but this room doesn't have the facilities to house prisoners, so I doubt it's a brig. Being a romulan ship interior, I'd almost expect it to be some sort of interrogation chamber but again, no facilities to actually interrogate a prisoner. The central location would seem to make it some sort of security area, especially since it is in a central location and has windows looking out to the rest of the main deck, but again I have no idea. Anyone else have any clues?
Seriously, any ideas? Internal Communications monitoring station? Armory? Payroll/Cashier cage? Internet Kiosk? Internal Plumbing monitoring station? Copy Room?
The world is not safe. We should not be training future generations to think they can fly. . .

In Open Beta i fell from ESD to the bottom of SPAAAAAAAACE.... and died from fall damage! ...not from missing air or eyes popping out of my head... fall damage!

Absolutely!
Dstahl and Goatshark - Please allow occasional environment kill zones.
I wish things like insane falls, jumping into warp cores, falling off forcefield bridges (like in Fac4028), etc. should kill us. I remember from the tutorial being "trained" that environmental hazards like fire could do us harm. If you're worried, add another sentence in there to include extreme falls, and you're golden.
Obviously, these should be easily avoidable hazards, and if you want to keep the training wheels on, and keep some (otherwise in real-life deadly) fall heights ok, then fine. Say up to 50' is "safe" - but if you fling yourself from a bridge over a canyon and fall hundreds of feet, you should die. Likewise falling into a Singularity Core should keeeeeeeeeeeeel you.

Second, did anyone else notice what appears to be a jettison tube attached to the main surgical table in sickbay?... Very nice touch!

absolutely yes we love things like this that can kill us cause when we find new ways to die guess what we love jumping into them and dieing weeeeee, Dsthal we want to die.

I think there is a special Accolade already in game, if you get killed by Stahl himself, right? Remind him of that.
I totally support lethal environments! I think it's fun and adds some sense of realism to the game. And if you get an Accolade for those deaths... it's even more fun!
Reminds me of the scene (from the TNG episode "Eye of the Beholder") where someone jumped into the Warpplasma stream.
The Interiors are absolutely amazing by the way. Kudos!
seeing these screenshots gives me hope for the fed and kling ships.well kling ships arent that bad...the fed ones are terrible...imagine now having a saber for a ship and walking around inside that ship..all those huge corridors...they either need to make the ships bigger or make the interiors at least smaller.not ot mention they are a terrible structural vulnerability.
especially the odyssey class.when i saw the 2 bridges(one on the collectable and one on the pack) my mind was blown away...then i went to the other parts of the ship and i just wanted to cry...
The Klingon interiors need a lot of work. Not so much the ships themselves, but every time I go down to the engineering deck... it feels like *literally* 100 officers and crew beam into the hallway right in front of me.
It's just insane. Divide by 10 please.

Romulan bridges put the others to shame. A sproose up to the others would be good but I'm happy for it to be later and they concentrate on bugs, balance etc for 3-9 months after LoR.
Though Gecko did mention something about an interior design mechanic or something in a four hour podcast. So yeah maybe that will be what we ask for and bring good things to both factions.

Yeah, in older MMOs like Everquest you could die so many methods from drowning. But can't do that anymore in new MMOs. Guess they are scared of lawsuits.
Else I say go for it, even if we respawn with like 30 Critical Injuries. :P

Totally seconded. The first thing I did when I got to New Romulus last season was try to jump off the cliff behind the transporter pad in the staging area. I enjoy the occasional running jumps off cliffs in Nukara (some kill you some don't but no invisible walls).
So far though, like many other players I am quite blown away by LoR and am happy to return to my former bubbly self after complaining about various nerfs--however much a part of your game-balancing strategy they might have been--for a while.

Yes, they really are well done. I have to agree with the OP.
The Romulan faction really does feel like it has its own look, and the interior work of the ship is very well made and designed. It is well proportioned, and the attention to detail is just great.
Well done Cryptic, you have done an excellent job with this update.

THIS!!!!
i would Love to have the interior spiced up a bit lol
maybe having the crew actively doing something instead of walking around like zombies.
And thank you for these screens!
This so reminds me of the old Space Quest game, where there was so many stupid, yet funny, ways to die.
Gawd I miss that game.
EDIT: And trying to fly on New Romulus! And the big river monster thing should eat us if we get too close!

Romulans are all about efficiency.
Nurse: "We're losing him doctor."
Doctor: "Shame" *pushes eject button* *woosh* "Next patient!"
But Tacofangs, it's so shiny...

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.
Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.
