New Romulan Ship Interior

morkargh117morkargh117 Member Posts: 231 Arc User
Im quite impressed with the look and feel of the Romulan ship interiors, only issue I found was on the main deck, in the lounge...there are no stars outside the windows, only black.

Bridge is well sized, basically perfect....ready room is great as well, though a window would be nice if possible.

The med room and Singularity core are pretty insane as well, the lighting is amazing. It puts all of the other interiors in the game to shame.

Yes, the ship interiors are really nicely done. It really puts the older Federation Interiors to shame, except the Defiant and TOS interiors.

I Love the pop-up displays in the Captains Ready Room.

    Engineering totally blows me away.

The ship's lounge is very spacious. (To me almost feels like a redress of the Galaxy Lounge, which has that familiar atmoshere).

And the Med Bay........wow totally blows me away. (Also has the feel of Phlox's Medbay on the NX-01).

The only disappointment is that my classic Romulan BoP is using a modern bridge, instead of the one we saw in TOS. :(

Looks great, thanks for the pictures. Curious people are curious.

Is there any sign of a TOS Romulan interior? We did get that one good look inside a Romulan ship during "The Enterprise Incident" on that show, and I wonder if they might throw that into a bundle somewhere.

I would understand if adding that seemed too marginal to be worth the trouble, but it can't hurt to ask.

A good style to be sure. I look forward to spending time in the ship.

When I customized the T'liss, there was only one bridge and interior option...basically the very modern New Republic styled one in the screens. I have no clue whether or not there are more bridges or variants that unlock as you level.

The interior is simply sweetness and awesome.

I totally want to be able to buy fish for my ready room tank all Mass Effect style now!

As I played my way out of the starting area and through a few missions I started feeling like I was completely useless as a tester because I just could not find anything I wasn't happy with or that did not work as it should... the screen to choose characters is gorgeous, character creation was a nice experience... the new UI did not take long to grow on me and then to just feel right like it was how it SHOULD be (and I was originally pretty uncertain about that particular change)... I was gobsmacked by how lovely the starting village was and then again by the beautiful ship interior... and then I saw the windows missing stars and I thought "A-HA! I have a constructive comment to make!" And now you've gone and beat me to it!

So, um, Devs? Keep up the great work! Beautiful job all the way around!

They pretty much have to now.

    They.

    Pretty Much.

    HAVE TO.

That said, at least Fed-side there's no risk of falling into the warpcore and not being able to zone out. (There were invisible walls everywhere in that nice, outdoorsy colony, but you can't put a forcefield around the main reactor? You realize your species is almost extinct, right? At least put up a guard rail!)

The engineering room is WAAAAY too huge, but bsides that it is pretty awesome.

A small nitpick, though, raise the guard rail or install some glass over the warp core pit. It's possible to jump into the pit and then you can't get out. What's worse, you can't beam off the bridge from there so you have to log out and back on to get out.

Eventually we're supposed to be getting some sort of customizable interiors (more customizable than the current "select a bridge/select an interior"). Hopefully it will work something similar to Neverwinter's Foundry for dungeons, where you put in the rooms and connecting spaces where you want and it automatically makes doors to connect them.

Listen, if you can't figure out for yourself, not to jump into the giant glowing, spinning blender of death. . . that's your problem.

And the answer is yes, it will blend Romulans.

lol I have to admit, I don't see how you could fall down there unless you actually try...and if you try....well then...

ROFL, you should actually make it kill the player if they do this.

I agree XD it's fun to stand down there but it really should vapourize you the moment you go down there. Maybe with Nukara's burn effect.

I thought that they effectively gave up on that idea.

At any rate, I believe that "public" spaces from the foundry would be coming first and that does not even seem to be on the table.

I really like this romulan interior.

It looks great. The singularity core could use a fence, but yeah its an obvious death trap at least.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

I was under the impression (though could be wrong) that Neverwinter was nowhere close on this tech either.

They don't gave up the Idea, just it in the end of the "to-do" list. :P

They have the Tech, they're just testing it and developing it, when neverwinter goes live, they'll update STO foundry in the meantime, enjoy the premade! :)

I support the idea to have a entire orion staff dancing in mah ship!

Needs some invisible walls in the Engine room to stop you from dropping into the pit.

Now I'm stuck and there's no leave ship interior button and beam out is disabled.

I actually found that to be hillarious.

I jumped down there to see what would happen. It's a pretty cool view from below. :D

On the TTS chat channel last night, every third or fourth comment had something along the lines of "I fell/jumped into the singularity core, and now can't get out."

Dan Stahl appeared to find that funny. I know I did.

I think it should be kept the way it is now, with the aforementioned Nukara barbeque effect added. Maybe add an accolade to encourage people to roll romulan, and grab the new ship.

I was dissapointed when the blades dind;t chop me to pieces and the bottom of the pit didn't vaporize me.

Wasn't his comment along the lines of "I wish I had a counter that counted every time someone jumped down there."
