Needs some invisible walls in the Engine room to stop you from dropping into the pit.

Now I'm stuck and there's no leave ship interior button and beam out is disabled.
When that happens you log out and back in, and then you're on the Bridge of your ship.
Wasn't his comment along the lines of "I wish I had a counter that counted every time someone jumped down there."
He also said that he should give out Tribble rewards for the people who did it. lol

I was under the impression (though could be wrong) that Neverwinter was nowhere close on this tech either.

Neverwinter Foundry allows you to place from any of their kits onto the same map. Assuming everything was import in the Foundry, you could zone into a Sewer tunnel from Champions one, go through the dooway at the end and wind up on a Galaxy Class Bridge. And then attempt to enter Turbolift and then find yourself in a dungeon corridor from Neverwinter. Then fall into a pit trap and find yourself landing in the Engine Room from a Romulan Warbird. The foundry in Neverwinter is seriously cool. IT blows STO's Foundry out of the water.

Note: And no, there is no Starship bridge or engine room in Neverwinter's Foundry editor.

Yes, I agree the romulan interiors are nicely done however like the other factions the interiors are all cookie cutter there's no variation for the ships class in the movies and series certain aspects like engineering arent exactly the same for each ship they differ.

... The med room and Singularity core are pretty insane as well, the lighting is amazing. It puts all of the other interiors in the game to shame.

I agree. Amazing work! Hope the same designer creates the Romulan starbase when/if the time comes.

Im quite impressed with the look and feel of the Romulan ship interiors, only issue I found was on the main deck, in the lounge...there are no stars outside the windows, only black.

Bridge is well sized, basically perfect....ready room is great as well, though a window would be nice if possible.

The med room and Singularity core are pretty insane as well, the lighting is amazing. It puts all of the other interiors in the game to shame.

i like the ready room i could see a locker for prized mentos since we got no home til very late in the game. the pictures i saw fit in to story at our return and fit

A big part of Beta Testing involves trying out all sorts of crazy things you wouldn't ordinarily do to find out what things are broken/can be broken before it becomes an issue for the general public. This particular bug is one that I think the majority of closed beta testers have experienced, it is obviously well known and Dan Stahl said the core will be blocked off so it shouldn't be an issue at launch.

That said, the first time I didn't actually fall down through the core like I think most did, and didn't jump over the railing either. I hopped up on a ledge on the left side of the engine room and walked off the ledge (thinking I'd land on a glass floor) but instead fell down into the core pit from next to the core. (I did later jump into the core on purpose, just to see what it would be like, prior to logging off since I knew Tribble was going down for maintenance. Was surprised to discover the core was actually solid.)

In any event, the ship interior is pretty impressive. Did anyone else notice the DOFF access console on the bridge? Don't have DOFF system unlocked yet so I can't actually do anything with it. Am also wondering about the mystery room in the center of the main level. (I'm now wondering if that's going to be where the Operations NPC will be.)

I have a question: on the main deck, in the middle of the map, there is an enclosed room with barred windows all around it, with a chair to sit in next to some control consoles and some huge pipes coming out of the bulkhead. It doesn't seem to correlate to any other space in the other ship interiors. What is this space intended for?

    Identified spaces:
    • Bridge
    • Ready Room
    • Lounge/Mess Hall
      • someone said this seems to be laid out like a redress of the ENT-D's 10-Forward... could this be getting some geometry ready for a TNG pack?
    • Captain's Quarters
    • Sickbay
      • this sickbay reminds me a lot of Dr. Phlox's sickbay on the NX-01... could we get a "Enterprise" ship interior set?
    • Engineering
    • Engineering/Science "Lab"
    • Transporter Room

Now, KDF interiors also have a Brig (which seems absent in Fed interiors... and don't say that it's not canon for Fed ships to have brigs), but this room doesn't have the facilities to house prisoners, so I doubt it's a brig. Being a romulan ship interior, I'd almost expect it to be some sort of interrogation chamber but again, no facilities to actually interrogate a prisoner. The central location would seem to make it some sort of security area, especially since it is in a central location and has windows looking out to the rest of the main deck, but again I have no idea. Anyone else have any clues?

Yes, I agree. Creative villainy should be allowed to some degree.

Boldly going to strange and interesting places many times can be dangerous (The Explody Kind). Just ask the guys in those ships whose wreckage you stumble across occasionally...though you will need a ouija board.

So, yes to keeping the singularity core shaft open and making jumping in harmful. :D

I would love a T5 version of the starter ship and a TOS bridge and uniforms like in the episode "Balance of Terror"...that would be the icing on the cake for me !!

I've said this in another thread, but it bears repeating here: the Romulan interior's engineering deck is utterly spectacular. I took a turbolift down to engineering, realized that I could have a glimpse of the singularity core, and when I went to see it... Well, my jaw was hanging open for nearly two minutes as I explored the room. This has to be one of the most stunning and immersive environments in the game. It's absolutely incredible.

(And yes, I jumped into the singularity core, too. Then I promptly filed a bug report.)

firstly to the environmental artists who made this interior, GREAT JOB! there are a few little things that seem off though. when i ventured to my interior there were no stars or space just blank portholes/windows staring into black. also from the captains cabin (the nice place with the wonderful pup up desk) you can see into the med bay by looking out the window. otherwise this is by far the best interior to date, and the fellow who whipped up the doors needs some sort of medal.

also the hallways are still large but the whole thing feels very claustrophobic, how'd you guys achieve that?

It's a really nice bridge and interior. Even though it's obviously a work-in-progress (missing window views, big unfinished texture in engineering), it still puts the stock Fed interiors to shame. I hope Cryptic's artists get time to re-do those after May.

Yes, the ship interiors are really nicely done. It really puts the older Federation Interiors to shame, except the Defiant and TOS interiors.

I Love the pop-up displays in the Captains Ready Room.

    Engineering totally blows me away.

The ship's lounge is very spacious. (To me almost feels like a redress of the Galaxy Lounge, which has that familiar atmoshere).

And the Med Bay........wow totally blows me away. (Also has the feel of Phlox's Medbay on the NX-01).

The only disappointment is that my classic Romulan BoP is using a modern bridge, instead of the one we saw in TOS. :(

The whole interior is beautiful; it really puts the Fed default one to absolute shame.

My big pet peeve with it is that the feet of my BOFFs are sinking into the floor, which irks me to no end on almost all the other bridges too. And I hope that trophies get added somewhere. Also, the ready room chair isn't working.
